Tacos Cantu

The food was good! I would recommend the flour tortilla and the steak or pastor. I loved how the tortilla was fried a little and they put cheese in the tacos. The food came out fast but the only thing that is lacking was that there could have been a little more rice and beans but other than that the green salsa was soooo good!!! And the drink was good! Cucumber lime. The ambiance was cozy and the service was good polite at the counter and easy to talk to since it was my first time there

The atmosphere is clean and welcoming...1 star. Service was professional and courteous...1 star. I ordered a 5 taco plate with double rice no beans and a cucumber lime agua fresca. I got (1) barbacoa, (2) chicken and (2) beef fajita tacos. ALL of the meat was dry. The fajita meat was chopped up so tiny it looked like ground beef. The tortillas were good. The rice was ok.. tasted like boxed rice. Definitely not worth the money!!

Placed an Uber eats order. Breakfast burrito and two breakfast tacos. Burrito was missing the sour cream that I paid for and the green sauce that I asked for. I asked for two potato and bacon tacos. Didn't ask for eggs at all! I don't like eggs! I received two bacon and egg tacos. I was disgusted from the smell. Instantly closed the container and threw it away. Won't be back. Now I'm off to find lunch.

I order chicken flautas(hard) as soon as I receive my order which I had someone pick it up for me, I immediately notice moldy avocados. Surely the restaurant had to notice this when preparing my plate. Waste of money.

This place is nice and clean. They have a machine that makes fresh tortillas. Let me tell you, these flour tortillas are sooooo good and light tasting! The rice is nice and fluffy with a light but very nice flavor. They serve you on glass dishes, and cute wood like type cups. I would definitely come back here and try some of their other items.

Ok, a year later and I understand some of the negatives. Not about the food, which is decent, but the service has proven to be undependable. Placed an order for a dozen breakfast tacos for my class several days ago, paid in advance, to be picked up at 7 am. I show up at 7, they haven't even started. It's simple. Do what you say you are going to get to do, when you agree to do it. I can't depend on this place anymore. Next! And, to top it all off, they got the order wrong! No utensils, no red sauce, and that typical shrugged shoulders attitude from the teenager behind the counter who obviously hates her job. Really sad for what was once a pretty good restaurant.

Food is okay. Chorizo nice and spicy. Portion is HORRIBLE vs cost!! A breakfast taco of bacon egg and cheese, lucky if it had a 3 to 4"tortilla and 1to 2 ounces of actual filling. Smallest taco ever seen for$2.69. Wife and I had breakfast plates $11.99 again smallest portions possible to consider it even a plate. Micro size tortillas. Will not go back to this place. It's an order at counter and they bring to you style. They never check on you after that. Cups are cute and all but not safe and comfortable to drink from. (Chips ,ridges and heavy.) Taste being okay is the only thing they have going for them.

Tacos Cantu Duncanville/Cedar Hill was a great experience. Great food, great service & a one of a kind ambiance. Their tacos taste good but their service is subpar.I ordered tacos to go for my family of 5. I waited at the restaurant while my family was at home. It took over 30 minutes for my order but I wasn't too upset because I thought they were pretty busy with orders from Uber eats or something. They were apologetic for the wait and offered me a soda. I declined. No biggie. When I got home, I realized we were short 2 tacos so I called them and asked for the rest. They started asking me all sorts of questions about how many containers I had and how many tacos were in each container, etc. like they thought I was trying to scam them. They said they had counted everything. So, I had hungry disappointed kids. I drove back up there and had to wait for them to make the additional tacos. They have really good corn tortillas so I asked if they would give me some for all the trouble. Nope! They were going to charge me normal price. They never even apologized for their mistake.

This was a surprise gem of a place to get a quick delicious bite to eat! We had the taco plate and the enchiladas. They were a good size and delicious!! We highly recommend stopping for a bite.
