Sweet Bella Soul Food

The food was cooked fresh and hot. It took about 15 mins for our ordered to be prepared.Fried chicken was seasoned well, crispy and juicy. (Hot sauce was provided ) The greens was so good full of flavor with cooked perfectly. Mac and cheese was on point , pasta cooked al dente, cheesy right amount of ooey gooey goodness. Fried catfish was delicious, seasoned perfectly. (Tartar sauce and hot sauce provided) A little heavy on the batter but other than that no complaints here. I have to say one of the best catfish flavor I had all year. The yams were perfect, nice and sweet. The greens so good. The service was good. You walk in and they greeted immediately. They go over the menu with you if it's your 1st time there. Once your order is ready, they show you what's in the box. The ambiance I have to say it's like a dive spot. Overall I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! I visited this restaurant in support of the National Consumer Boycott and was pleasantly surprised by the original Soul Food taste and ambiance! The chef served and prepared an absolutely delicious meal!

Pretty good! The interior of the restaurant isn't the most pleasing to the eye, but the food is good! I ordered the Catfish w/mac and cheese and collards. The flavor wasn't necessarily unique, but still good. The staff is kind! I can't say that we would return, but I love to support Black Businesses and recommend that everyone gives them a try!

Unfortunately the meatloaf did NOT taste how I thought it would've been. The mash potatoes tasted like it came out the box and wasn't fresh. The Mac n cheese was VERY dry and the meatloaf wasn't flavorful. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I wouldn't be ordering that again. I did hear the fried chicken was good, maybe I'll try it next time.

Probably some of the best soul food I've ever had. Authentic and a true "dive". If you're in Richardson or north Dallas pop in for some smackin good food

GREENS!!!! YAAAASSSSS! The chicken wings and mashed potatoes, I'm in. So came here with a friend that's a local and I was like I need soul food in my life. I ordered the chicken wings, greens (of course), and mashed potatoes. It was a good meal but not out of the ordinary. I enjoyed it.

Price point is kinda high food was eatable decent parking for dallas establishment would I go back just yes to try something different

I can't even rate it honestly. My husband and I were looking forward to trying anything but their meatloaf (because the meatloaf appears to be the only item getting bad reviews from others). We were planning to have lunch there. Wecalled the night before to see if they had collard greens and they said they did. My husband's hankering for collard greens was what led us to find this restaurant on a Google search. We were traveling by DART to Richardson from downtown Dallas, so this seemed also like a convenient location between the two. That much it is. But after getting back to Forest Lane station earlier than we had anticipated, we waited around maybe 45 minutes and then went over. They list their opening time as 1130 a.m every day and it was probably about 1145 a.m. They were not open, there wasn't even anyone inside getting ready to open. We ended getting back on a southbound DART train to go to an Asian restaurant near the Park Lane Station, which we've already visited a few times. That's Jumbo Buffet if anyone is interested. We possibly will visit this restaurant again but the lack of many other restaurants near the Forest Lane station vs a lot near the Park Lane station make it unlikely. So I can't recommend them but since those who have had the privilege of eating there are praising everything but the meatloaf I will give them 4 stars anyhow.

Service was pretty slow but because the food is great I don't mind... they are pretty nice for the most part but I believe everything is made fresh. Thai tuna casserole is amazing.

A really awesome experience that I apologize for not realizing before now! This seemingly small restaurant is a hidden gem! I chose to eat here on 28 Feb 25 as part of a National Consumer boycott to other businesses in our local communities. The dining area is small and dated, but the well prepared and delivered meals truly can't be outdone by many larger restaurants. The chefs and staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional.
