Sundown Subs

Wow! One of the best subs I've had and I am picky! My sub and onion rings were hot and fresh. The bacon ranch club sub is the bomb! Hubby had the roast beef and he can't wait to go back!! Onion rings were great and I have to say thank you for an actual order of onion rings. I recently ordered onion rings elsewhere, paid almost 5 bucks and had 4 onion rings when I got home. So, when I say thank you, thank you, thank you for making me feel I got my money's worth, I mean it! Great prices!

We went to Sundown Subs on our way back from visiting the Dinosaur Park. We were starving. A new to us place but the menu online looked great. So did the reviews. So glad we stopped here. Service is friendly, not sure if it's family owned but everyone was so nice. Let's talk about the food. The portions were huge! I ordered the cheeseburger and tots combo. The burger was big and seasoned just right. The quality was great. My daughter ordered a BLT. I was honestly going to order it too, but I didn't want the typical 3 strips of floppy bacon in between two slices of bread. She got her sandwich and it was loaded with tons of crispy bacon and freah lettuce and tomato and good quality bread. She loved it.Portions are large and the prices are fair. My family of 5 spent exactly $40 (2 kids meals, 3 adult). This is the type of place I would frequent several times a month. Next time we are in the area, I would definitely come back for more. So many menu options.Thanks for a great lunch!

Reliably good sandwiches and burgers, friendly service. For atmosphere, walk through the door to Sundown Subs 2- same food and friendly service in a nice hole in the wall bar.

Thought I would give this place a try on the way back home from a long drive. Initially I was going to rate this one or two stars because we waited 30 mins for two sandwiches, which we did not get told there would be a long wait. It was irritating but a woman, who was the manager or owner, made it right and two of the workers apologized numerous times for the wait. Even more importantly the sandwiches were tasty, so we're the fries, and we were glad we waited instead of getting a refund one leaving. I would definitely return on my drive through the town again, but I would call ahead to place my order if I was under any time constraints.Thank you to the staff that made it right which shows they really did care about the costumers and the business.

Tacos on Tuesday, Wings on Wednesday, Sub Sandwich on Thursday. Great Sports Bar. Staff is like family.

This was an unexpected treat in a true Texas small town. The place is tiny and not much to look at on the inside. The service was great, though, and the act of making one hell of a sandwich is made simple here. For a very good price you can choose from a considerable number of sandwiches and burgers, all of which come with chips and a drink. I had the Italian Combo - the meats are chosen but you can choose your veggies. Mine was a traditional set up for these sandwiches with the addition of jalapeños. The sandwich was delicious. The bread was a soft texture that balanced perfectly with the crunch of the veggies. There was just enough Italian dressing in the sandwich to impart flavor without drowning the taste of the meats and cheese. I can't wait to come back.

I finally tried this place. I had the turkey sub and the onion rings. I would rate both as excellent. Hubby had the fried pickles and said they were good as well.

Reasonably priced. We enjoyed lunch there, great place for kids, and the staff were very friendly!

Great bar. Good grub. If you're passing thru give it a try. Subs, burgers, salads, big baked potatoes.!
