We had an excellent experience here for a friend's birthday. Our server Renee was well versed on everything on the menu and also very entertaining. For appetizers, we started with Thai Curry Mussels and Crab Cakes. They were delicious. For the main entrees, our group had the Duck, the Scallops, the Pork Chop, and the Lamb. Everything was perfect. The food was excellent and the service was superb. The atmosphere was a fine dining establishment tucked away in East Dallas. This is definitely the finest French Restaurant in Dallas. We will come again.

Very comfy, dark, relaxing ambiance. The tables were set to perfection and the decor was immaculate.Unfortunately the service and the food fell short. While we always had our waters refilled, we had to wait quite a while to get our cocktail orders. Our table ordered wine, which was good, a whiskey sour that was baseline generic, and an old fashioned that was also generic and just checked the basic boxes of an old fashioned. Additionally, we had to place all our food orders at once as opposed to ordering appetizers then entrees. We ordered the "special" duck tortellini and crab cakes for appetizers. The crab cakes were very bland and fishy (not fresh) and lacking any seasoning what so ever. The tortellini was 50/50 at our table, half of us loved them and the other half hated them. For entrees i ordered the venison steak, it was also very bland and lacked any seasoning, the salt level was non-existent. Our table also ordered the fillet steak that was lacked any seasoning and somehow managed to cook a disappointing fillet. Though it was tender that was all it had going.Out of the entire meal the bread and mashed or "puréed" potatoes were the only highlights. For the price point St. Martin is charging i at least expect some salt to make it on my dish but unfortunately they rely way too heavily on their sauces to carry the dishes and it was apparent on the final plate that came through with great texture and a perfect cook that was bland, flavorless, and under seasoned. Lastly, when we got our check we asked them to split it as we were with some friends and they said it was ok but then went behind the bar and seemed to be talking it over with other staff while looking back at us as if we shouldn't have asked them to split it. I don't see any reason to go back when there are so many better options.

My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary to celebrate. Such a quaint boutique style restaurant. It's very intimate and dark to make you feel cozy and welcome.I didn't catch our waiters name but he had silver hair and knew everything about the menu and selections. He was amazing. We started our meal with their escargot and crab cake. Next time we go, we will just have three orders of escargot. We then moved on to our cups of soup, the champagne brie soup and their French onion soup. Both delicious and filling, so be sure to just get the cup.I had a Caesar salad that would make the creator very proud of. Now our main courses. My wife got the Coq au vin Rouge and I was feeling brave to try their Duck Breast "L'Orange". Both meals came out perfect and looked delicious. My wife enjoyed hers a lot. Here's the kicker, I wanted to try duck since I haven't had it just as the main course before. I bit into it and the skin was crispy but.. the duck to me was eh. The sauce they have and side dish the duck sits on was tasty. But the breast didn't have flavor. I told the waiter and he IMMEDIATELY took it back and cooked a small filet of steak for me. He then came back and told me "mate, I tried the duck myself and sadly you got a bad catch so that's on us completely." I was happy to hear he shared my concern and share his knowledge. I don't eat a lot of duck so I don't know much. They gave us a free dessert to cover their mistake but definitely worth paying for under normal circumstances. This place knows how to take care of their customers and the prices are reasonable. We are definitely coming back. Their rack of lamb is what I eyeing next time!

Very fancy, dim-lit, romantic spot with piano music and fabulous French food. Their lobster bisque is phenomenal. The muscles are delicious with a side of frites. The lamb is awesome but now that I've had the filet, I won't be going back. It's pricy & you will need a reservation.

Great spot for a girls night! I'm going to be dreaming about the crab cake until further notice. Crab cake and split salad was the perfect amount of food. Service was great!

Came in for my birthday with two friends. Didn't read close enough that happy hour was only at the bar but they were able to accommodate it at the table which was awesome! We split a bunch of dishes and everything was fantastic! We got the mussels, shrimp, beef tartar, Brie soup, lobster bisque and blackberry cheesecake for dessert! The ambiance was very nice with the live jazz. The table next to us even got engaged at dinner and the restaurant offered them free champagne. Everything was great but stand out to me was the mussels and the Brie soup. Would love to come again!

Wow! I made a reservation for a last minute girl dinner and literally was blown away. We were greeted with friendly smiles and seated almost immediately. The ambience is romantic, elegant and dimly lit. The live piano music was incredible. Our server was professional, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Excellent wine and cocktail selections. We had:-escargot-so delicious, even my friend who's never likes escargot before, loved it. -crab cake-so good.-salad-fresh.-sea bass-cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. -souffle-absolutely amazing, we had it with the grand marnier sauce. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion! We will definitely be back with the husbands next time.

This has been on my list for months now and so many people have recommended this restaurant for date night. We came here on a Friday and they were so kind to accommodate us to a later reservation time with just a few hours notice. Thank you so much! We ordered the duck breast and salmon entree. Both were mouthwatering and tremendously filled with so much flavor. Cocktails were fresh and delicious!

Three of us went on 10/23 to celebrate two birthdays. We started at the bar with a $10 martini and the shrimp appie ($15) and bread for sauce dipping...yum!We moved to the dining room and each had a soup - my friends each had the French Onion and I tried their signature soup, the Champagne Brie. Both were good, however cool - not hot at all. We alerted Rene, our waiter, and he quickly fixed it offering new soups or desserts. We went for two chocolate soufflés (holy cow!). Back to our main courses - my friends split the pepper-crusted KC Strip au poivre with green pepper-brandy sauce and pomme frites. They loved it and the steak was perfectly cooked. I had the Tournedos Rossini - a petite filet sliced in half with foie gras, brioche, black truffle demi sauce and whipped potato. OMG TDF and for me, enough for 2 meals. Perfect at medium rare. Note - they have fabulous sauces and excellent bread - worth the real butter and sauce dipping. DELISH! Service was excellent at the bar (Taylor) and in the dining room (Rene). All other staff were friendly and efficient...it is obvious that everyone takes their roles seriously. The ambience is old world Paris elegant and charming. HH offered M-F from 5-6p...a perfect way to kickstart your dinner. Valet parking is free and onsite.Support this local gem!
