Passing thru to Oklahoma! WeAre from Tennessee. Heading to Chickasaw Annual Conference and Festival. The brisket and Mac & cheese was amazing! Chicken was very tasteful. Loaded brisket fries was a snap platter but my son liked it. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful in recommending the daily special. We were too full to eat desserts but their Homemade pies and cobblersLooked amazing.

Really good "Que". Got a three meat platter: brisket, sausage & pork ribs. Surprise was the sausage, very central Texaslike. Brisket was very moist and well cooked with good smoke taste. Mac and cheese was spot on. Free soft serve cone was the cherry on top. This place was far above expectations. Try them, you'll come away with a new place for excellent barbecue!brisket

Just stopped here for lunch while traveling. Quick friendly service, although much of it is self-serve. We both had brisket, which was good and tender. Excellent mac & cheese! Would stop here again. Quite an old building, but it looked very neat and clean. Even the bathrooms were good!

The best Ive tried so far on my cross country trip without a doubt! Ribs were so delicious and the meat comes off the bone eating with one hand. Had a flavorful bark and just the right texture. Brisket was tasty and not dried out. Corn and mustard potato salad was very good. Leo the pit master was a cool friendly guy and was easy to chat with. I highly recommend you try this excellent barbecue at least once when in the area or just passing by.

Sanger doesn't have a lot of restaurants, and what we do have we generally protect. My issues with the BBQ here are how salty it is with little smoke flavor. I couldnover look the salty if the smoke level was there. I also find it dry compared to others. I am a BBQ snob, so take my review with a grain of that salt and try for yourself.

Ambiance: The place itself is nice, a stand alone building off the frontage road of I-35. The decor was about what you would expect from a bbq joint. The tables were spaced nicely so that your neighbor wasn't sitting in your lap.Counter service: Place your order and watch them cut your meat then they hand you the plate and you serve your own sides. The set up reminded me of Soulman's BBQ because it's the exact same set up. The menu was even very similar.Service: Everyone was pleasant. I didn't have a lot of questions so there was not much interaction, as to be expected with counter service. No one came around to check on people while we were there.Food: This is where the stars begin to fall off the review. I had the two meat plate, brisket and jalapeno sausage. Neither of which was great. The sausage had no snap and wasn't very jalapeno. The brisket was dry with a barely visible smoke ring and no real bark to speak of. I didn't notice until after we were eating that the cutting station where you place your order had a heat lamp scorching down on the brisket and other meats. Maybe that's the culprit for dryness?The sides: I had "bbq beans" and potato salad. Also not too good. The beans tasted like baked beans from a can that were attempted to spruce up but missed the mark. The potato salad wasn't bad, but it was just missing something leaving it rather bland.Overall, we were not too impressed with Southern BBQ. Unfortunate.

This is a mix of experiences that lead to a four.5 ... The service was fast and helpful. The sides (creamy potato salad, green beans, cole slaw) were all flavorful ... they also have a baked beans, borracho beans, corn on the Cobb and a mustard based potato salad. The roll was soft and fresh.3 ... The meat, however, was different. While the meats were juicy, they lacked any smoke flavor. I did enjoy the pulled pork. Yet the brisket and turkey were pretty basic. I will add they have tacos, sandwiches, and baked potatoes.

Good barbecue, not over smoked. Sides are tasty, love the dill potatoe salad, fried okra are my favorite. Folks always nice.

if I could give them no stars I would we always would get the tacos and we drove off my eight year old said there is one taco I looked back and she was right. went back and the manager accused us of lying why would I waste my time to go back to scam them out of a free taco. I was being honest and he sat there and argued with me for five min I didn't even get a refun! F that place never going back that guy was a complete fool. don't go there they will jip your food and laugh in your face when you explain what they did!
