Sofra Kebab House

So very comforting!Such a great value & I feel satiated.I really enjoyed both the chicken & beef kebabs. The stews were wonderful. Everything I tried was great. The potatoes had the perfect texture & the saffron rice had a nice spicy hint. The owner gave great hospitality & was genuinely happy to have us there. I hope for more people to experience the great quality of food & service here. There's lots of indoor & outdoor seating, plus counter seating if you want some personal space. Also, I love that the buffet style includes dessert, hot tea/cold beverages, & some really nice pita. Highly highly recommendDefinitely great to bring the whole family or any group lunch/dinner

They have weekday buffet lunches! I was originally going to do a takeout of the lamb kebob wrap, but when I walked in, the owner greeted me warmly and introduced the lunch buffet. At 14.99, it's a great price for a well balance meal. You can choose from a variety of salads, and cold sides. The hummus was fresh tasting. Pita bread was so delicious too I wish I had room to finish it. The star was the freshly grilled ground beef kebab. Perfectly seasoned and mixed with various spices. The outside was even a little crisp. Highly highly recommend this place!

Sofea Kebab House was on my preferred list to check out. It did not disappoint. The proprietor recommended the chicken tikka boti with lemon rice. It was delectable. There was enough for a second meal, and the rice was even more tasty. FYI the Yelp location is off for this locale. I submitted to Yelp the correction. This location has a private lot and also provides BBQ options. If GPS takes you to a strip mall, you are in the wrong place, just go across the busy street.I'm sure to return to Sofra on my next stop in Plano and explore other menu items. Two thumbs up.

Owner run and his cooking is delicious. Lunch buffet is well worth the price. Good options, fresh and flavorful. Don't forget to use their spicy paste if you like super zesty spice with your meal, it's amazing. They also give you a fresh grilled kebab with your lunch buffet. Chicken is always my go to.

The lamb is my favorite but the chicken kebab also is quite delicious. Ray (owner) greets the customers and treats you like family. The buffet is well tended and fresh. I love so many things it hard to pick just one. Also I'm a fan of the Gyro as it's epic. Sofra is a highly recommended slightly hidden establishment. Bring your family and loosen your belt. Don't forget to leave room for desert and a Turkish coffee.

I would love to try this place but went there on my limited lunch break when it showed that it was supposed to be open and the lights were out and no one was there. I hope to try it at some point. Love this kind of food.

Randomly just decided to try this place after moving to the neighborhood recently, and I'm so excited to come back with my partner and friends. I was a little surprised to see that it was a buffet, because every single dish was good enough to be a full entree! I tried just about everything, and while I don't consider myself the most adventurous eater, I gobbled down every single serving of every thing that touched my plate - quite the achievement for me, personally, and it really speaks to the delicious food!The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and made me feel right at home. I feel very fortunate to live so nearby and expect to be back very soon!Now, time to go lapse into a food coma! :)

This place is awesome!! Ray is such an amazing soul and gracious host, his presence warmed my soul. Buffet filled with salads and goodies but also soft rice, spicy rice, chicken thigh, and amazing lamb! As well as soups and drinks all within the buffet. On TOP of that, you get a choice of chicken or beef kebab all for SUCH a good price. Please check him out and get this place busy!!
