Sidewalk Cafe

Loved this place!This place came highly recommended to me so I had to give them a try. I had a little time while getting a new battery installed in a car and so I gave them a try.Upon first entering the ambiance was very pleasant. They were very busy and yet the noise level was such we were able to visit comfortably. Typical cafe type setting, but pleasant. The star of this place is the service and the food.Noah, our waiter gave us great service. He was on top of our experience and was a big part of making the total meal experience a great one.I ordered the pancake combo breakfast. It came with 2 eggs cooked to order, a breakfast meat, hash browns or home fried potatoes, and of course pancakes! It was all really good! Also at our table was a BLT Sandwich and the Tuscan Grilled Cheese. Everyone was really happy with their meals. I don't live close, so probably won't be a regular, but certainly won't hesitate to come back when I am in Denton at a meal time!

Delicious meal, my mom and I split the " Puttin on the Grits" and it was plenty and freaking delicious! My toddlers split a chocolate chip pancake and had left overs and my sister had the gluten friendly pancakes with Nutella and strawberries it was all delicious! The server was wonderful and was sweet to my kiddos even gave them stickers! It was a wonderful experience we will be back!

I decided that I wanted a burger, so tried this place. I don't like the location because it takes a few to find since it's at the backside of the building your GPS will take you to. But not overly bad, though.Let's start with the okra since that's the first thing I ate lol. It was fried okra, nothing overly special or anything, but it was a change from fries like everyplace else has (it's 1 side of your choice, which had a decent list of choices).Now onto the burger. I am no fan of mayo, so I got mustard instead. The burger was pretty good size and tasted pretty good (it was a burger, so nothing to really stand out). The one thing I didn't like is that the bun they use has a sweetness to it which I can see being popular, but not a choice I would prefer when getting a burger, since the Sweetness doesn't really go with it. If got their BBQ one, might be different. The good part of the bun, though, was it was soft and didn't start to fall apart like they do many places.Overall the food was good, not exceptional. The staff was really good, though, and made it very easy to place the order, find a place to sit down, and the order was brought out to me. I may return, but if I do, would use that to get their BBQ one and test that one out. Also my order for a decent sized burger and fried okra was only just over $11, which is really cheap these days

Great food and service. Lots of tables so short wait on it. Menu has a lot of things to choose. The pancakes are fluffy and thick. Iced coffee on a hot day is wonderful. We like iced tea but Sundays in summer we try the coffee.

Ordered the 2 egg, 2 pancake combo with a side of fried Brussel sprouts and my mom got the grilled chicken sandwich with rice and beans. Literally such a good place. My 4th time here. You can't go wrong taking anyone new here because they have everything on the menu. The fried Brussels need some salt or something or seasoning but either way they were fried perfectly. Pancakes were HOT and delicious. Grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and not dry at all. They know how to cook here! Server was nice. The ambiance is definitely old country vibes.

My wife and I were out driving looking to grab a quick lunch and found Sidewalks Cafe. It's a small little cafe but the tables aren't packed together which is good. Our server was a nice young lady named Morgan. We asked her what was good and she made recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Morgan was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. I chose the catfish on her recommendation with fries and Mac n cheese. It's one piece of fish but it's a big piece. Was cooked perfectly and the breading was crispy. The fries weren't really salted which I MUCH prefer. Most places over salt fries. Fries were nice and crispy and the Mac n cheese was creamy and very flavorful. My wife got the Tuscan grilled cheese with arugula and avacado with tomato basil soup. I sampled it. It was great. Our drinks stayed topped off and Morgan came to check on us several times. Service was great. The menu has a lot of options so I think anyone can find something. It's a small little cafe but it's clean and they had a lot of staff working. However as we sat there we noticed a lot of burgers coming out of the kitchen. It's a thick burger on a sweet Hawaiian type bun according to our server. So next time I'm trying it. I very much recommend this place. Great food and great service. We will go back.

This is a cute little cafe that serves the surrounding area well. The ambiance is friendly and well-kept, and the menu has a lot of variety and reasonable prices. My companions and i were interested in the Mexican section of the menu, and we were very pleased. I got the signature tamales filled with chicken, and they were simple and tasty. My companions got a quesadilla and the nachos, and we were very impressed with the quality. Simple, good food at a good price and friendly wait staff. Can't complain about that!

The food was good, and the service was quick and friendly. We had a party of 5, and we're served quickly and our waitress provided several refills. I included a pic of the men's room because a clean bathroom is key to the overall experience.

I just recently moved this neighborhood and wanted to try the local restaurants and I'm glad I came across this café. Almost immediately after we got there, we were seated & the staff was super friendly. I only ordered the cheese quesadillas and as you can see in the picture, they're huge portions. The outside was crispy to perfection and the inside was so tasty. I would 100% percent recommend this establishment.

Who serves pink chicken salad that looks like pimento cheese? Not tasty! Other person in party thought vegetable plate was cold and undercooked..
