this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I was craving carne asada fries and wanted to try a place i've never been to before. while the outside and inside looks fairly "run down" it kinda does remind me of hole in the wall joints back in SD.we ended up getting the carne asada fries and a breakfast burrito (sausage) for lunch. Typically i like getting chorizo burritos, but i was afraid it was going to be too greasy for me.The wait wasn't too bad, as we got the food in about 10 mins. They will call your order in the front, and you need to go pick it up. they don't bring it to your table. When you get your food, they also provide two sauce bottles. one for green sauce and one for red sauce. which is awesome, as i use a lot of sauce/salsa on my mexican food. the fries were good, but it didn't "hit" the spot in terms of what i was looking for carne asada fries. the burrito on the other hand was actually a good deal. I think it was less than 6 bucks, and it was really filling. good bang for your buck. we also got horchata, and it kinda tasted watered down. the cinnamon flavor was weak. They have a lot of different plates and items, if you're not in the mood for tacos/burritos or carne asada fries.

Just paid for carne asada fries for $12. I got home and they were so bad I threw them away. So disappointed. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I had been eyeing San Diego Tacos for a solid year before trying it out, and let me say... It doesn't disappoint. The staff is very kind and they'll get your order out quick. Definite must tries are the Carne Asada or California Burrito, Ground Beef Crispy Tacos, and the Enchilada's. For those that can't hang with the spice factor... only use the Green Salsa but if you're like me you'll enjoy the Red Salsa and the spice lingers for a bit after you leave.

Great Mexican food. Greasy, and spicy. The shrimp cocktail large was spicy. The shrimp deveined, with avocado and served with saltine crackers. Ok prices too.

I was in the area and decided to try here. Not gonna say I've never been here before, but last time was shortly after they opened. The big thing I noticed is despite ordered 5 tacos, all with different meat, they all tasted very similar. Don't get me wrong, they were good, but chicken, pork, and beef should all taste vastly different. They were quick, though. I ordered at the counter and less than 5 minutes and my order was ready (granted it was at a very slow time of the day). They didn't take care when packing the food, though. One of the hot sauces opened a little, so bag was full of sauce which makes it extra messy and less hot sauce to enjoy. Now to talk about the hot sauce (kinda important since I love salsa and spice). They have 2 green (one that opened was one of the green ones, so still had one of each to use) and 1 red. The red noticeably had more of a kick, but both had a pretty decent flavor. Now about the price. It was a little more than most taquerias, though a lot of that is it's a stand alone in a somewhat decent sized lot right on a major road, so it's understandable to me, but $13 for 5 tacos is a little costly, and they have no dessert except cinnamon chips that were pre bagged which made me sad because I kinda wanted flan or Tres Leches cake...

Tacos and food is super good here. My disappointment with this sausage breakfast burrito is kinda high. The sausage is disguised as hot dogs :(I recommend all items but this one.

Found this place looking for street tacos in the area. They have a nice menu with varied meats and the price points are very good for today's market. I tried the Fajita tacos and my wife got the carnitas burrito and both were excellent. I will definitely be coming back to try other items.

This is a dive! And therefore my rating is purely based on dive-taco / dive-sopa and the meat experience. The sopa base is so tasty.I highly recommend the lengua and pastor. The carnitas was too dry. The salsa was just ok. There's a parking lot, no restroom, indoor seating, water is awful, but not their fault. The cost is seriously amazingly low, $2+ for each taco.Service is super fast!

hoping for a satisfying Mexican meal, but unfortunately, it fell short. The gorditas were underwhelming, overly greasy, and lacked much flavor. I was particularly disappointed with the fajita meat--it was chewy and tough, making it hard to enjoy. One of the highlights I was looking forward to was their bottle Cokes, but at over $4 a pop, it felt like a bit of a gouge. For the price, I expected much better quality overall. Not the worst experience, but definitely not worth a return trip.
