The food is good Texas style, huge portions of fried food. Salad is good too.Beer is cold and served in a mason jar.The staff are kind, attentive and keep things moving.Open dining room seating, bright and loud but super comfortable.Love the Rockett Cafe!!

Visiting from CA and our friends brought us here. Got there at 8 and they had a live band on at 10. We had a lot of fun, dancing, playing pool, meeting new people and you can't beat their prices for drinks! I hear the food next door is really good but they closed at 9pm. Looking forward to coming back!

The service is amazing, the food is hot, the portions are huge!!! My only issue is the food is slightly bland. I can add salt and pepper at the table, but could use some seasoning on the food before it's cooked moving forward.... Hint hint. Add some salt to the onion ring batter. won't stop me from coming though, love Rockett!

Wanted to try this place out. So I took my wife and so to try it out. My wife and I wanted to try the Chicken Fried Steak and my so. Ordered the Ribeye. The chicken fried steaks were so tender and had plenty of gravy. The Ribeye was perfect Mid-well, and it was very tender and juicy. Thanks will be coming back.

The staff was awesome and the customers were so friendly. Our waiter Gary even gave us a ride back to our hotel when we couldn't get an Uber. Food was great, highly recommend the grilled pork chops and fried zucchini. Can't say enough about the great experience we had.

Not what it was years ago. It doesn't live up to the hype anymore. It was just okay at best. And service was less than stellar.

The fried catfish and shrimp are fantastic! The restaurant is really neat and service was excellent!

We enjoyed our visit, we knew what we were getting ourselves into. It's a casual country restaurant with mostly fried food. Restaurant on one side, bar on the other. We went on a Sunday morning and they were seating large groups in the bar area. Gary waited on us and did an excellent job. He has worked there 36 yrs, I think. He was thoughtful and offered to move us over to an empty table when a large group arrived right next to us. He was prompt and answered questions we had. They have large portions, which is what we need with 3 large sons who eat a lot. Thanks for a great experience. We will be back!

Good fish and a lot of it. I had to bring half of it home. Normal pricing that you should expect in these times.

Wait is not good, they base seating on not when you check in but by party size.i had a group of 4, and 3 parties before us sat. A party of 2,3, and 5. i understand the table of 2 if that table only seats 2.On to the order, i order a 1/2# burger and the waiter corrected me and said, "you mean a hamburger"? I said well in the menu it says burgers... Avoid this place, has potential but lacks basic hospitality and hasn't figured out how to make a wait list...
