Rice Box Waxahachie

Been here a few times now before the move. Second time here after the move. Bigger than the last location, a lot more room. Everyone here is pretty consistent with their service. We always get the Chris Fried Rice. The Lo Mein is pretty good too. This place is basically fast food Chinese. If you're looking for something more authentic this might not be your thing. Rice Box does the job for a quick meal with decent prices. They give plenty of food and it's pretty tasty for the concept. They do have the best fried cream cheese wontons. The egg rolls and fried dumplings are very tasty. In a nutshell it's pretty good fast food. Haven't had any bad experiences here. Service is okay, kind of like everywhere else. If you're looking for something fast and filling this place is pretty good.

The food was ok. Well, what happened was.... This was our first visit so we really didn't know what to order. I ordered the king pao chicken and plain fried rice and my daughter ordered the orange chicken. It was ok. Have had better but wasn't horrible. The fried wontons were EXCELLENT!!!! We will give this place another try because after we ordered our food, the amazing waitress that took our order, brought us out a decent size sample of the Chris fried rice.... It was delicious!!! Next time we will stick with that. The place was nice inside, everyone was coming and with take out orders but it is a good place to dine.

We stopped here one night to get some Chinese food and it was really good! I was surprised the portions were so big too I could barely finish my portions and was able to save some for the next day!

BEST Chinese food!!! Their chicken is cooked perfectly. I love how you can choose your own spice level. Try the sesame chicken & salt/pepper chicken! The food is pricey but it's enough to feed several people. Did not disappoint.

I been debating on this place for a while. I finally came and honestly I wasn't too impressed. The food lacked flavor and it felt a little one the salty side. We ordered some dumplings for my son who's obsessed with them and he didn't even bother with them. I ordered the chicken lo mein and it was ok but a little on the salty side. My husband ordered the general chicken with fried rice and it wasn't good. That's the one that lacked flavor. Service was fast, probably because it was dead (Saturday at 1:30 pm). Would I return back probably not.

Tried this place for the first time on an early Saturday as they were just opening for the day around 11:30-noon ish. Dining area was clean. Plenty of staff upfront (4) rolling silverware etc. Not busy (only 1 other customer) so I was able to order right away. I ordered 2 orders (2 per order) of spring rolls and the orange chicken which comes with either steamed rice or fried rice. I opted for fried. Spring rolls were great, hot and fresh and tasty. The orange chicken was not the best. The fried rice might as well just been regular rice....no flavor, no veggies, nothing to suggest it was fried at so based on the texture. It was clearly leftover. Lots of hard overcooked or old rice. The chicken was fried hard and slightly tough. The sauce completely drowned the chicken instead of coating it and it was a very dark brown and looked almost scorched. If I return, it'll only be for the spring rolls.

Yall, those fried cream cheese wontons are the bomb!I order chicken lomein, medium heat and my husband got the beef and chicken lomein. It was just the right heat and had lots of flavor. We also ordered 4 egg rolls which were very greasy but pretty good.We took our food to go. We just happend upon Rice Box and we were not disappointed. It is a small hole in the wall place...which usually is a good sign. Yup!They were really busy with call in orders and had some customers dining in. Definitely will be back!

The food is mediocre. You get a lot for what you pay which is nice. The flavors could be better. The chicken could be crispier. Overall, it's an ok bite if nothing else sounds good.

Terrible. Never coming back. Over $18.00 for a single vegetarian dish and a soda. Worst value in town. And the name is accurate. My dish was 95% rice, a tiny bit of tofu and a scattering of tiny diced vegetables. And bland as can be. Also- the place was completely empty but my dish took seven minutes to prepare. I hated this place so much. I'd rather eat from the Braum's dumpster next door. Or the all you can eat Asian buffet across the street for half the price. Either one.

Delicious food, great service and fast. One of my husbands and my favorite spots.Highly recommend
