Restaurant Anise

Fantastic experience! The food was amazing, the crowd was just enough to hear your date, and we even got to meet delightful owner.

We jumped at the chance to do Brunch at Anise today and Megan didn't disappoint. We started off with Beet and Burrata appetizer, with Grapefruit, pistachios, Arugula with Tarragon Vinaigrette it was absolutely amazing, super fresh and so incredibly good , perfect flavors, I ordered a Bison Filet with chimichurri, super tender and exploded with flavor, my wife ordered ham and cheese crepes with poached egg and hollandaise sauce, which was about the same in deliciousness, we finished off with Nutella Crepes with Bananas and strawberries and a goat cheese cheesecake with fresh huckleberries, everything was on point, everything was over the top with flavor and finesse, if you find yourself in Granbury looking for brunch stop by and you're flavor experience will reach new levels.

There was great service I received my order pretty quick, I went to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and I ordered an aus ju sandwich and a whoopie pie, overall the food was excellent and the whoopie pie dessert came out with a sparkling candle to celebrate her birthday, the staff was amazing making sure we got what we ordered. Overall a great experience!

Absolutely love this hidden gem! It was such a nice surprise, absolutely gourmet with great choices! Environment has a retro classic feel, soft music very relaxing! Excellent fresh teas, unique choices with the chefs artistry so delicious! Wait staff is very helpful and knowledgeable Taylor is great! Love to take people for a special lunch, I have not been for dinner yet but look very much forward to it! Salads are beautiful!

Wonderful food equally amazing service!Very clean beautiful atmosphere. We made reservations on a whim but we will be deliberate about it next time! I had the halibut my husband had the antelope. Both dishes were delicious. We drank the wine ate the dessert (spiced Whoopi pie?) the caramel sauce was so good. We talked about it on the way home. Went to the Tavern for a nightcap talked about it there. Romantic, tasty and special. Cheers to them!

I absolutely love Anise. A very personal and intimate setting. This is not a big restaurant, it's more of a French, European cuisine dinning experience. Chef Megan is outstanding in her culinary artistry. If you want a truly special evening enjoying wonderful flavors, an adventure for your palette, then Anise is the perfect place. Perfect for any special occasion; anniversary, birthday, promotion or it's just the weekend. Try it out!

The moment you walk in you're invited to a cozy dining experience. The staff was very polite and made sure we were well taking care of. The foods was absolutely delicious! Everything we ate was outstanding! You can tell the quality of food here is fresh. Highly recommend!!! Hidden gem

This review is about service and customer satisfaction at Anise. Please look at the picture I attached regarding a message I just received 12/26/2024 from Megan the owner of Anise regarding a review I wrote two years ago. Some of our friends were talking about Anise and encouraged us to visit . So I made a reservation for my wife and I and went there on a Friday. When I got my Amex statement a month later the statement charge did not match the amount I remembered so I found out that I had been charged twice for a jar of honey I purchased. In Megan's Yelp message she said my review is made up because she would remember it. Well I can remember it clearly that the meal was expensive, a long way from 5 stars and the best part of the meal being the honey. The honey was in fact so good that I wanted to buy some and was double charged for it. So I wrote a letter to Anise and included the receipt and requested a refund. After a week or so, I got a reply letter saying it had been too long for a refund and offered no apology. By the way, I am a UT grad, native Texan, veteran, and owner of two separate software companies which we built and sold, and after I retired from business I drove special needs school buses for GISD (certainly not for the money). In my opinion Megan care more about her ego than her customers satisfaction. Go Horns.

If you live in Granbury Texas and haven't heard about this restaurant then go by there for lunch or dinner. High quality food that is well prepared and good wines and personal service which is unheard of these days. Chef introduced herself and delivered the appetizer herself. Great evening dinner will return.

I am so sorry to say dinner at Anise was a huge and costly disappointment. We were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a delicious meal. The reviews are very excellent and we had high hopes. I ordered the lobster which was a simple presentation on mashed potatoes. The lobster was so chewy, it was difficult to eat. It had no flavor and was terrible. The mashed potatoes were so salty - a difficult feet for potatoes - they were nearly inedible. The meal was over priced and terrible. The first course of crackers and whipped goat cheese was the star.
