I had a very mixed experience at Red Stix. Overall. the grilled items were my favorite. Some other menu items were just a little too fusion for me. Service was good but I was up-charged $1 for something they claimed was paté but tasted more like mayo with a hint of paté.We loved the pork lemongrass meatballs. I would run back in a heartbeat just for those. And next time I would probably stick to the grilled items. It's awesome that they use binchotan. The fries sounded better than they were... They were just waffle fries with some togarashi sprinkled on them. I don't know why I thought they would be something more special. The drunken noodles were ok. The highlight of the dish was the skewered chicken that we got as our protein. Lots of grill flavor and so tender. I wished for more wok hey from the noodles. Now, the bbq pork and paté banh mi. This was the weirdest dish to me. We specifically ordered it because of the mention of paté but my husband and I did not taste the paté that we expect in traditional Vietnamese banh mi. So we asked if it was indeed included in our dish and the server said yes. We asked if we could have some more on the side and there was no mention that this would come at a cost, and we were charged $1 for it on our bill with zero explanation. The thing we received was not paté in my opinion. It was a mayo-like substance with a hint of liver. No wonder we could not taste it in the sandwich with all the other competing flavors. I wish they would have been more upfront on the menu and when we asked. This really dampened my whole experience at Red Stix. Also, why the crispy things on the banh mi? It was a weird overly fusion-y move.Aside from the failure to disclose the upcharge for the "paté" we found service to be great. Maybe they checked in a little aggressively but we understood it to be them wanting to make sure we were taken care of. I would go back but only for the grilled items.

This is a great spot to stop by on Saturday. It is all day happy hour and they have a menu with a bunch of street food and drinks with some great prices. We got the ranch water flight, which was really good, the poppin pineapple margarita, and finally tried a high noon tequila there! I've tried to get the lychee martini twice and they seem to always be out of the ingredients to make it. For food we got:- fried chicken dumplings - good! - spicy edamame - one of our faves- togarashi fries - not too unique- shrimp Rangoon - BEST I've had - crispy wrapped shrimp - too crispy in my opinion- sriracha buffalo wings - good!- ramen - good but a lot of bok Choy - Tom khai gah soup - also good - drunken noodles - the favorite- dynamite shrimp - not my fave We've been able to try some different things and still have more to try! Will DEFINITELY be back. The service is great and they're straight up about best options for food! Also we love the patio, they have have bar top that is indoor/outdoor we always sit at. The patio is heated and enclosed but can open with good weather.

Ours was the first wedding at Meow Wolf, Grapevine, and Red Stix did a phenomenal catering job. Chef Uno and her team were easy to communicate with, fast, professional and surprisingly affordable. We told them our budget and guest count, and they gave us remarkably cool options (not typical or boring catering). Everything was easy-to-handle, fresh, tasty and a crowd-pleaser. There were imaginative dishes, including vegetarian and seafood options displayed creatively with little tags. Our multi-cultural wedding guests raved about the food Red Stix provided - all at once unique, authentic, generous colorful and delicious. Thanks to Red Stix for impressing and delighting my wedding guests with badass Asian cuisine!!!

Every single item is worth trying - loved every bite! The Laotian-Thai-Asian fusion flavors were unique and memorable. Favorite sauces were the chipotle aioli and habanero thai. Their signature stix are grilled over the highest quality charcoal in the world - binchotan - and you can definitely taste the quality! The service was wonderful - the employees were all very friendly and kind. The atmosphere is casual but loud with people socializing - with indoor and covered patio seating options Food ordered: Uno's Signature Stix (chicken teriyaki & chicken thai curry) Crispy Rice-Wrapped Shrimp Shrimp Rangoons Duck Fat Fried Rice Banana PuddingLychee-Ni Price: $$ Dine-in and takeout Parking lot

I ordered the hot noodles and they were soooo overcooked. My boyfriend's drunken noodles as well. The minute we chewed it, the noodles felt like rice. The place itself is nice but damn cook how you gonna overcook noodles at an Asian restaurant. Service is wonderful, the place looks great.

This place is fire! My husband ordered the duck fat fried rice, & I got the big bahn mi sandwich. Both were delicious! We also got the Stix sampler and a Capri Fun just to nibble & try it out. They were fantastic! Obviously, we ordered more than we can handle, but it was all the more reason to enjoy them later. Will definitely come back again and hopefully with friends the next round.

We decided to brave 635 and I-35 and go try out Red Stix Street food. We were told the food is great and decided to swing by.First, there's a lot is construction on the roads around the restaurant. There's work on the highway, service road, back streets. It's basically an oasis with nice apartments and about 7 really nice restaurants in an old run down industrial block.Once you get there it feels safe and secure, and it's Farmers Branch so there are cops rolling up and down the Main Street. There is a nice covered patio and almost hidden entrance....but the vibe once you walk in is pretty cool. There's a bar, some seating inside and out.The chairs were heavy and the table didn't budge one bit. We sat down, had waters delivered and drinks order taken. We ordered off the happy hour menu and the main menu. Got a bit of everything that we wanted except the duck fat fried rice which we will come back for.The starters were really good; the dumplings exploded with yummy broth in your mouth and the birria egg rolls were juicy and meaty. My wife's drink was really good and they made juice pouches for the kids so they felt included in the festivities. We got the pad Thai with shrimp and chicken; and the Noodles with pork and chicken. Portions were fair and the prices were great for the amount of food we got. The Pad Thai was bursting with flavor and we got it level 2 for just enough heat. The Noodles were buttery, skippering and melt in your mouth!! The char on the meat(s) on all the "stix" war perfect. Crisp, moist and well spiced and flavorful. We ended the night with the S'Mores Banana pudding; it was smooth and banana-e, with marshmallows in the pudding with Graham crackers and hersheys chocolates.Overall great experience, good food; and for those that like purpose games they have Jenga with instructions and other games.
