R & R Barbeque

We had a takeout order with brisket (very tasty and tender), bologna (good), regular and jalapeño sausage (both needed more spice/heat), turkey (good), potato salad (good), coleslaw (vinegar base, good), beans (tasty), and cornbread salad (good). The employees were nice and helpful.

Came here recently with the fam since I'm visiting them from Hawaii. We don't have many bbq places. I definitely prefer hard 8 near by. This place has young ones that have that typical i don't wanna be here attitude. No greeting, just glares. Meat was good, corn bread salad was gross. Sopapilla cheesecake was pretty good. Customers make the place a little unsettling as we don't fit the homogenous society in this area.

As I write these words, I am sitting in line at this location. I have been in line for 17 minutes. My order has been taken, but this is the slowest bunch of folks that I have ever seen working here. The food has always been wonderful, as it will be tonight. I am just really wondering whether or not it is worth the wait. If I could get out of this parking lot safely, I think I would.When we finally reached the window, it had been 24 minutes in line. The girls left the window open and I made the mistake of handing her my credit card. She said you had the two meat plate? I told her that we had the family pack and asked if she had received the order. She closed the window in my face, laid my credit card down on the cash register, and walked away, presumably In search of my order.Another three or four minutes past, during which time I began observing what was not going on in the kitchen. What was not going on with work. There were two guys behind the meat table, but only one was working. The other was standing there with his hands in his pockets, watching. I began waving and got his attention, but he would not come to the window. Instead, he said something and the girl who had taken my credit card stepped from around the corner. I don't think she was doing anything at that time.She came to the window and opened it up. I said you were, "give me my credit card, please."She said, "Sir, we can have it up in about five minutes."I replied, "no, give me my credit card, please."She started to say something and I interrupted her and said loudly, "Ma'am, give me my credit card now, please! We are going somewhere else!"She handed me my credit card and we drove away.If you are in any type of a hurry, do not go to this place. It will be a while before I return.I don't think that anybody is aware that they lost a $50 order tonight because of their slowness and their ineptitude.Incompetence is the worst form of corruption.

Best sliced Brisket I've ever had! I recommend the potatoe salad or pinto beans too, the coleslaw is a bit vinegary for my taste

If I could give this place NO stars I would! They say that they make their potato salad fresh, which they may very well do, but it sure doesn't taste like it, plus, they put WAY to much mustard in it. Don't even get me started on the crap they want to call BBQ! It was dry and even my 13 year old daughter who will literally eat anything, (loves chocolate covered crickets) and even she spit it out! I was HIGHLY disappointed in this place and they should take the BBQ sign down and put up another one that says, "pig slop."

Every single time I get a salad from salad bar I have to ask to refill or refresh something on it. It's not at all busy time so I know it would be a good time for them to check it. Checking it often would be a good idea.

The counter staff are extremely pleasant and polite. The ribs don't fall off the bone, but come away easily as the should. The chicken is moist and well seasoned, and the brisket is tender and tasty. They don't have any of the exotic sides like poppers or Twinkies, but this BBQ joint is the real deal. Beats Hard 8 and Natty Flats hands down

This is my go to bbq place. The Owners are the nicest people who are genuine people that truly love BBQ and their customers. Their employees are all so nice and accommodating. I have never had a bad thing from this place. I love a chopped beef sandwich and it's always spot on. My boyfriend loves the Bean Bowl which I sneak some bites of, and it's everything that you crave when you want BBQ in one bowl. The salad bar is so nice to have and love their desserts.

We visited R&R over the weekend I have to say this was WAY better than the Pit up the road. MyDaughter and I had the brisket and my wife had ribs. The brisket was a little dry I thought, but good flavor. My wife liked the ribs, meat fell off the bone. The bbq sauce was a little vinegary The potato salad was very good. The staff was nice looked like college kids working the front. Not to pick to much but a little more friendly would have been nice. 3 stars is it, Average BBQ

If you are a real BBQ connoisseur that enjoys real BBQ like Black's, Pecan Lodge, Lockharts, Kruez, then do not go to this place. This place is average, not the best I ever had. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I order the ribs with beans and potato salad. Both were very bland and the potato salad had a weird flavor that I could not figure out what it was. The ribs were tender, but eh...nothing special. (It's like they boil or bake them first) They did not have any smoke flavor and they do not remove the membrane. I would not recommend unless you wanted an average meal at a decent price.
