R & K Cafe

I really do not want to be picky but I will just point out a couple of things that were wrong and should not have been. The party of 4 was generally happy with the food. The issue came with me asking if they could add a few jalapeno slices to my taco salad. "Sure" was the correct answer. When I got the bill, she had added $1.00 for jalapenos. I could have been informed when I asked for it and maybe we could have exchanged some other ingredient to avoid the extra charge. Then my sister only got water with her meal and they added $2.50 for a drink. Had to have that charge removed at the register. I just thought all of this was unnecessary. I do highly recommend the food but just watch your bill.

We had lunch today after church. The restaurant was busy and we got a table as soon as we arrived. My wife had a chicken fried steak and I had a cheese omelette that came with hash browns and biscuits with gravy. All of the food was delicious. Hot and fresh and in spite of the busy situation our order was taken quickly and the good was served fast. The courtesy and hospitality was the best and the restaurant was kept clean as tables were cleaned quickly. This place was running fast and smooth. I can highly recommend R & K in Hudson Oaks Texas .

Excellent service and delicious food. No cucumber salad on the board today thankfully there was a good selection of other sides.

This is a typical Texas breakfast cafe. Food will be good and service was quick. You can only pay with cash, but they have an ATM on location. I had the pancakes and they were pretty good. My wife had French toast and it was pretty decent as well. We will be back.

Great old school restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Biscuits were light and fluffy and the over easy eggs cooked perfectly. The lunch menu board looked great and the prices were very reasonable. Would recommend and will return.

Ordered two breakfast meals - both were excellent! Enormous portions for the price. Service was fast and correct. Place was packed. Maybe because it was Mother's Day, maybe because it is every day. Short waiting time. Very loud-all hard surfaces. More than adequate parking as it located in a large shopping and is an end building. Can't be seen from street - have drive down into shopping area. Coming back for their lunch soon - highly recommended by patrin

Lazy waitresses. Food was ok but they pick up the rolls with their hands. Hostess was nice but won't be back again for sure.
