Cute little place, Stopped in for lunch, and not much to say. The food was okay, and price reasonably It's a quaint little place. Plenty of tablesWould I recommend this place, maybe, the food was good, but nothing really stands out

This is a laid back restaurant located in Cleburne Tx. Several items on their menu were great for me being on a diet ( tilapia fish ) The sandwiches looked good, sampler plate was looking great but their desserts made my mouth water... couldn't have it, my diet. Staff is very friendly and on their toes with service. There are outdoor tables with nice shading. I do recommend the Purple Turnip, I believe you will too.

Very tasty soup, salad, sandwich place. Cute and clean inside and the service was friendly and efficient. Ice tea was refilled appropriately and the food came out at the proper temperature. I had a spinach soup, chicken salad, and quiche combo. Good value for the money. Recommended.

The vegetable plate at Purple turnip is great. I have tried other dishes there but the vegetable plate has always been a favorite of mine. This is the first place I ever had tiramisu, it is excellent here. I have since had it in other places, ut the purple turnip is one of my favorite places to eat tiramisu. I am going to have to try the caprese salad with all the rave reviews about it now. I do wissh they were pen more hours, but they are an excellent place to eat with good price for what they serve.

I got gifted a cheesecake from this place for Thanksgiving and I just had to come write about it! It's the pumpkin cheesecake. There's a solid, sweet crust that's generously filled with a light, fluffy, flavorful pumpkin filling and topped with super airy and sweetened cream and a sprinkle of what I believe is pumpkin spice. Every aspect of the dessert is seasoned and whipped to perfection but the pumpkin spice is really strong. I thought it was just the extra garnish but the filling itself has a serious bite to it and is definitely only for pumpkin spice lovers. They didn't stop at just cinnamon and nutmeg. I could definitely taste allspice. I think if the spice was toned down just a smudge it would be a flawless cheesecake but we're still going to eat the whole thing :)

I've not eaten there yet but that advertisement has me hook, line & sinker. Looking forward to giving them a try in the very near future

Great food and good service. The Purple Turnip has been here a number of years and in its secluded location, it delivers good food at a really good price. Come visit in the late afternoon for a hearty meal or a light fair. I love the Angel hair pasta with marinara...you can add meat balls as well. Good afternoon salads with chicken and other good combinations. Also...good pies...!!!!!! All sorts of combinations from pecan to chocolate to apple to....?!?!?!!!?!!!Good stuff...plan to make a visit and enjoy....

It's always amazing I personally love the home cooked quiche that they make every day.
