Pokey O's Cookies & Ice Cream - Mid-Cities

Homemade cookies + Blue Bell ice cream = AMAZING ice cream sandwiches! I'm so glad this small franchise opened a store in Bedford, and even better, the owners are part of the local community.A couple of weeks ago, we got takeout, and while it was tasty, the sandwiches were a bit tricky to eat since they were too big to bite into and hold. The spoon didn't work too well with how they were wrapped for carryout. However, today's dine-in experience was great! We ordered the State Fair cookie (like a kitchen sink cookie) sandwich, which is larger than the others and comes with a double scoop of Blue Bell ice cream--definitely what makes it the best.There are lots of ice cream flavors to choose from, and we went with a scoop of salted caramel brownie and a scoop of butter pecan. Both were delicious, and the sandwich was huge--two of us couldn't quite finish it.The owners were kind and helpful, and the restaurant was very clean with nice decor. They offer plenty of table seating as well as counter seating. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

I was finally able to pop in and treat my daughter. What a great establishment to add to the Bedford community. The owners were so nice and were happy to answer questions I had about menu items. The shop is very trendy and cute, perfect for a date or a family outing. We ordered and sat at a table to enjoy our food. I ordered the lil' pokey o with a State Fair cookie and coffee Blue Bell ice cream. And my daughter ordered a scoop of red velvet ice cream and a mango boba with mango popping boba. And ordered a few cookies to go. We both really enjoyed what we ordered. The State Fair cookie is soooooo delicious but so sweet. I left in a sugar coma!We will most definitely be back to satisfy our sweet tooth.

Pokey O's is one of many new great places popping up in this section of the mid-cites. Staff was friendly and they have something unique in that you can build your own ice cream sandwiches.Though the ice cream options are blue bell; which while is a good Texas option; but easily obtained at the local grocery store right in the same shopping strip. So my one negative could be that we might be able to build our own ice cream sandwiches for less getting the similar or same items from the grocery store vs here.

After dinner dessert experience. Stopped for a little cookies and ice cream. Can't go wrong with Blue Bell.

The place was small and quaint. The people greeted. Us and were very nice. They explained what they had and what you can order. We went on a Thursday and they had half price Cappuccino. I had the Kona flavor which not too sweet and almost a hint of mocha. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely keep going for our blue bell ice cream fix!

We are so excited that there is a Pokey O's nearby! The store was set up super cute, and while we took ours away, it would be a fun place to go with friends and relax there while eating your goodies. We had tuxedo cookies and vanilla, snickerdoodle cookies and strawberry, and snickerdoodle and vanilla - all sandwiches. They were all great and large portions. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind. We will definitely be back! Started eating too quickly and forgot to take a pic!

Awesome owners that provided excellent service, we will return again soon for more snow cones and ice cream sandwiches. Very clean store and with nice lighting.

The cookies were amazing we ordered 3 and then tried them they were amazing we went back in got a dozen and the ambiance was great the service was amazing the lady working the counter was very kind

We went in the middle of the afternoon during the week and it was very quiet. The monster cookie was great and paired perfectly with the Blue Bell ice cream. I added caramel and whipped cream...YUM!
