Delicious Sunday dinner with girlfriends. Started with the chef's crostini (not pictured) which was great but maybe not needed if you get the whipped ricotta with sourdough as an appetizer. Loved the tortelloni with brown butter and marcona almonds. Meatballs were tasty. Both desserts were "I'll order this again" worthy. Excellent drinks and five star service.

It has been a very long time since I ate Italian in Fort Worth. There are not many mom and pop types, which has kept me at bay. We finally decided to come in the day before Valentine's to enjoy some good Italian food. At first we were seated at a very small table (a small rounded table suitable for drinks and maybe one appetizer) and it was really the only one around. Luckily, the hostess found another normal sized table for us. It immediately felt better. Josh was our waiter and a great one! He was perky and communicated well about specials and favorites. To start, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, calamari, and chianti. The wine was good. The Brussels sprouts were the BEST I've had. Wonderful crisp layers that crunched and almost evaporated in the mouth. The balsamic vinegar was sweet and slightly acidic for the perfect bite. I'm telling you, order the Brussels sprouts!! The calamari was also good; however I am partial to a chunky marinara dip with lots of fresh lemon juice. My husband prefers the creamy dip and enjoyed it very much. One surprise was the fried olives. The olives were plump, not so salty, and had a light breading layer. It was delightful. For the main, we ordered based on Josh's recommendations. The saffron linguine with extra spice and the short rib. The short rib is seasonal and you can only get during the winter time. You should run here to eat it. It was the best short rib I've had from a restaurant. You could taste the wine that the short rib was braised in and it has a nice sauce, but the item that took this meal over the top was the creamy, cheesy polenta. I will always want short rib over polenta now instead of mashed potatoes. The cheesy polenta was almost like a custard in its creaminess. You could definitely taste the wonderful parmesan that went in there. The only downside was I wanted more! The saffron linguine was good too, believe me. I also loved the extra spice that the waiter recommended. The pasta was cooked just right and the shrimp was juicy. We saved a bit of each item so we could save room for dessert. I am a bit of a tiramisu fanatic. We ordered along it with decaf cappuccinos. This was the only let down of the night. Not tiramisu by any means. Tiramisu inspired cake. No lady fingers and the mascapone layers were way too thick and heavy. Also, the chocolate chips on top were unnecessary in my humble tiramisu opinion. This is a very heavy cake. If you love traditional tiramisu, I recommend ordering something else on the menu because this will not satisfy your craving. We had an excellent dinner at Piattello. I will definitely come back for the great service, and my two new favorite restaurant items in Fort worth: the Brussels sprouts and the short rib. It's also a fun vibe to grab drinks with friends if you're not wanting a dinner date.

welcoming ambiance with an open floor plan that gives a clear view into the kitchen and bar. The seating is mostly half booths, creating a comfortable yet lively atmosphere. The service was excellent--our waiter took the time to recommend wines based on our preferences, and his suggestions were spot-on.As for the food, everything we tried was delicious. We stopped in for a late dinner and enjoyed splitting a few appetizers before diving into a well-made lasagna.Overall, a great place for a relaxed meal with good food, attentive service, and a stylish setting!

Our server Hannah was great. The ricotta cheese and sourdough bread was very good. The cheese was creamy and went well with the sourdough. The zucchini blossoms were fried and served over sauce. I was caught off guard with the rabbit ( I thought the sauce would be thicker) As you can see, it was very watery. The rabbit was shredded and it was alot of meat. My noodles weren't al dente...alot were still very much undercooked. Overall it was good. I would come back...

Drove 30 minutes to get this because I previously came here, and they assured me it was gluten free. This time I received different shaped noodles which tells me this one probably IS NOT gluten free. Hostess taking the phone order wasn't very informed, which is probably what went wrong this time.

How is there alil' bit of Italy in Texas? I do not know but it is here ;DMy husband and I were shocked at the authentic flavors. They bounced off the plate and transported us back to the tiny boot abroad with their homemade pasta and sauces. WE ORDERED:Tagliatelle BologneseEggplant ParmigianaThey were each 5 stars and that was on a to-go order (which says ALOT.). With a rotating menu, we are excited to go back, check out the ambiance and enjoy more! Heck, we may even sit on their nice patio with a glass of wine. ;D

Piattello is excellent. My favorite dish is their Bolognese. The service is great, the dining room is open. They have a cute little outdoor patio, very perfect for nice weather. There are always a lot of children, so they must be very family friendly, although I don't have small children, so I'm just assuming. I will definitely be back.

Went to Piattello tonight for the first time in 3 years. This place will greet you with the nicest host who seemed very happy to see us. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming. Our waiter he was more confident and good. He knew his menu and the food and knew his job. I appreciate a waiter who is very good his job and knows he doesn't have to pander for tips by being overly nice. We started with the Crostini and the meatballs. The Crostini was fantastic and had good flavor in the pea purée. The meatballs were served with the tomato sauce that was fantastic and you could tell was fresh. The meatballs themselves seemed a bit average were served lukewarm. We then had the Spring Cappalletti and margarita pizza. The Cappalletti was fantastic that was served with a mint butter cream sauce that was really good. The margarita pizza had a fantastic flavor on the sauce and the basil tasted like it was picked that day. We ended the evening with the pistachio cake and the Affagato. The Affagato had a solid flavored espresso that was served with a good vanilla bean ice cream. The pistachio cake had a sponge that was clearly made from scratch and topped with a chocolate ganache that had a sea salt in it. It was very good and the pistachio in the sponge was delicious.I can't wait to come back to try some other stuff on the menu.

This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in the DFW area. The consistency and quality of food is just out of this world. Every time I visit I have an amazing experience. On Sundays, they do Sunday gravy and they started a Chicken Parmesan special on Wednesdays. Their house-made vanilla ice cream is the most special ice cream I've ever tasted, period. Everybody is friendly and it feels like they've all worked there for so long. The ambiance is clean and simple. They have two sister restaurants in Fort Worth as well, Provender Hall in the Stockyards and Clay Pigeon on White Settlement Rd. I'm also obsessed with Clay Pigeon!

We decided to get dinner on a Friday night here. The ambiance is very open yet intimate. Nice big windows looking out into what seems like a little courtyard/play area. We ordered We decided to get dinner on a Friday night here. The ambiance is very open yet intimate. Nice big windows looking out into what seems like a little courtyard/play area. We ordered the house ricotta & sourdough - this was delicious! I ordered the Mafaldine Cacio E Pepe and my boyfriend ordered the Lobster ravioli and pepperoni pizza. The lobster inside the pasta was not cooked evenly but the fresh lobster sprinkled on top was delicious. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu which was average. The seasonal Paloma Italian (Lunazul Blanco, Campari, Grapefruit juice, Lime Juice and Agave) was delicious. Service was attentive. The restaurant is slightly overpriced. There is plenty of parking!
