Still 5 Star in our book but with a heads up for you today re: the "Off Menu" menu item, Turtle Gumbo. We're big gumbo fans being as how we're from the Gulf (of America :) Coast so we decided to give this a try as we also love turtle soup. Fortunately our server stopped by shortly after we had each tried several bites to ask "Do you like it?", to which we responded in unison, "No". For starters it was barely warm, it boasted very little rich roux based gumbo flavor, and was quite unpleasantly overwhelmed by what we perceived as oregano (we don't think it was the file). There is a lot of ground meat in the dish and we could not decide if it was turtle or ground beef. At any rate the texture of the ground meat was for us off-putting in a gumbo. Perry's commitment to excellence manifested itself when our server asked if we'd like something else. I protested at first as I hate to send anything back to the kitchen but she insisted. We chose the lobster bisque which we've enjoyed here before, but which today was just spectacularly rich and buttery. .And the pork chop? Well, if you have had the pork chop you know. IYKYK, Si? Amazing. Every single time. How in the world they maintain this consistency year after year and when cooking a gazillion chops a day is beyond me. But they do. We reserved a table in the bar area today and this is where we'll reserve from now on. Love the ambiance in this area. So enjoy this great restaurant.

Celebrated New Year's Eve with Perry's with their Rare and Well Done Prix Fixe Menu. The service was attentive and timely. Lots of happy people enjoying their meals, music playing in the background. The first round was the Waygu beef, Perry's knows how to serve Waygu. It was excellent. Second round was a Caesar salad not pictured, it was fresh and flavorful well balanced. Third round was the 14 ounce NY strip cooked to my liking and great flavor. The CHATEAURDIAND THEE WAYS is highly recommended. The meal was pair with a bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs. For dessert pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate crunch tower. The chocolate crunch tower is very decadent but delicious . Cheesecake great taste .

Highly recommend Perry's for any special occasion--a birthday, an anniversary, or even if you're just looking to impress that date. This place will not disappoint. The staff is attentive, the service flawless, and you'll want for nothing during your visit. As a self-proclaimed steak snob who can cook better steak than 90% of restaurants in DFW, I can confidently say Perry's is in the top 10%. Their steaks are phenomenal. Order one medium rare, and you're in for a treat--it's that good. The wine pairings are equally impressive. It's clear the staff is well-trained to recommend the perfect pairing, and they absolutely nail it every time.I highly recommend Perry's for an unforgettable dining experience.Also....dont sleep on the sea food. That sea food tower is down to impress. If pasture food isn't your thing....pull something out of the sea. It's all good.

The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! The waitress recommended the pork chop which was the best pork chop I've ever had! Everyone absolutely enjoyed their meals. The ambience was quite enough to have a good conversation without raising your voice. The portions are huge and can be shared. Overall a great experience

Yes. Resounding yes! Stellar food, great value. Still want to try their burger at lunchtime on Friday. The port chop is the star of the show. Everything is done very well. Never a disappointment in all the times I have been.

We went to Perry's on a Wednesday night and to our surprise, they were incredibly busy. Since it was a weekday night and there were only two of us we didn't make a reservation - big mistake. Highly recommend you make one.We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait and about 1.5 hours later, we were still waiting to be seated. They came around distributing bubbly to some customers apologizing for the wait but did not offer us any, perhaps because we didn't have a reservation? Maybe that made us less than, who knows. When we finally sat down, I ordered a house cab without looking at the menu. Another mistake - an overpriced mediocre wine at about $25 a glass. We had some steaks, lobster, brussels sprouts, calamari. Service was good and the ambiance was nice but overall nothing to write home about, just another overpriced average chain steakhouse.

The bar and dining room were packed so it's super popular with locals and business travelers. I had the 6 oz filet and my husband had the NY strip. Steaks were tasty but I don't like butter on my steak so, I'll make sure to have that omitted next time. The plate of Brussels sprouts were good. It was my birthday and they don't do anything special for guests but the bartenders, servers and hostess were all nice. The restaurant is good but not spectacular. I'll definitely go back. Total bill for was $240 including tax & tip.

This is a large restaurant and is usually quite busy, so the noise level in the dining area is loud. Our waiter was practically shouting a lengthy list of extras over the crowd noise. We tried quite a few items. The shrimp cocktail was OK, the shrimp is definitely farm raised. Crab cakes were average in taste and small in size. Pork kabobs were squares of pork the size of a Las Vegas dice and chewy. My 10oz filet had a tasty crust, but flavorless interior. The beef was quite chewy for a tenderloin. I have had much better at Capital Grille. The asparagus was pale green and very average. The creamed spinach was dominated by too much parmesan cheese. The cheesecake was dry and dense.

Have been here twice now including last night for Valentines/our anniversary and both times have been excellent. We have been to many steakhouses in DFW, but my husband and I both feel Perry's knocks it out of the park!

I thought this was a top-of-the-line steakhouse, but boy, was I wrong! Let's just get to the nitty-gritty... We arrived last Saturday for an early Christmas dinner with my family. I ordered the rib-eye, and when it arrived, most of what was on my plate was fat. It was a completely abysmal cut of meat, and I was a bit stunned that anyone in this place - known primarily for their steak - would choose to serve a piece of completely fatty beef like this to me. I tried to pick the meat out of the blob of fat before me, but it's so dark in here I couldn't really see well enough to differentiate the meat from the fat. Every bite seemed like it was nothing but pure fat. So ultimately, I just left it alone, but no one even asked if everything was okay when they came to pick up my plate with most of the "steak" still on it, which I thought was odd. Seriously, I've had much better steaks at both Denny's and IHOP.The wife ordered pasta with scallops, but these scallops had apparently taken a turn for the worse several days before they were served to us - they were so foul! Both my sister and I tried to eat a scallop and we both determined them to be the worst tasting (and overcooked) scallops we had ever eaten. My sister actually spat hers out in her napkin - she wasn't able to even choke it down. Simply put, scallops aren't supposed to taste like stringy rotten fish. My wife sent her plate back with our waiter, and shortly after, a manager type came over to try and talk to her about it, be she told him to just please go away because we were with a large group and my wife and I did not want to complain about our food in front of our family. It was embarrassing to my wife, and Perry's should be embarrassed as well, serving such garbage. I had been wanting to try Perry's for quite a while as I have heard good things (mainly about the pork chops), but overall, this Perry's was an awful experience and thoroughly disappointing. At the price they charge for the trash they served, there is no way we'll return.
