Palateria Michoacana

Fui a comprar una escamocha, y pedí la crema dulce aparte y me di cuenta que la manzana estaba vieja se deshacía igual el melón. Fui a medio día mínimo esperaba que la fruta estuviera fresca.

Went here during the middle of the lockdown, they were open and had whole menu, they had everything we wanted and it was only $20. The drinks were very good and went well with the crab I bought at Crab Station. Would definitely go back.

This is my third day in a row in search of the best mangonada. This place is a small hole in the wall with authentic Mexican treats, ice cream, chips and candy. I ordered the mangonada and it was not what I expected. It costs 6.00 for approximately 16 oz. It was more like a couple of scoops of mango sherbet with Mexican Chilly powder and mango chunks on top. I was not too happy with it being more like ice cream as it was difficult to sip through a straw. You need a spoon. I had to let my mangonada melt a bit. After it melted it was pretty awesome, however, it will definitely will not top the mangonada from La Piña Loca. I will come back to try something else.

The true star rating should be 2.5. I love the taste of the Ice Cream because it is not overly sweet yet very sweet. They also have unique flavors such as my cinnamon banana ice cream cone I had. The problem I have with this place is the service. My son had a paleta (popsicle) that was melting faster than he could eat it. I asked for a cup so that he would not make a mess. They charged me .25 for the cup. Next time he can just make a mess on the floor. Also would it hurt the employees to smile?! Regardless of the bad attitude from the employees they really do have some good treats. The diablito and russa looked good but have yet to try one. They sell sweets so be ready for rowdy kids.

This place is great! Me and my brother came in on a Friday night and they were pretty busy!! I speak pretty mediocre Spanish and could read their menu for the most part, but the employees helped me out with some translations and were nice about it even though they were busy! I got ice cream and like the previous reviewer said it was the perfect amount of sweetness! Definitely not as sweet as typical ice cream, but still delicious! I plan on coming back and trying more of their things!*Also, forgot to mention earlier, they only do card if your order is $5 or above, so if you're just getting one serving of ice cream, you'll need cash.

The fresas con crema are the best!!!! Their fruit aguas are really good as well. The only thing I didn't like was their elote. I will stick to my traditional elote cart for that. They still get 5 stars because everything else is really good.

Servicio estuvo horrible, si no tienen ganas de atender no se ni para que trabajan. Una señora de pelo corto, chino super ruda. Con una actitud super fea. Llegamos y esperamos como 15 minutos para ser atendidos y no había gente más que tres o cuatro personas al frente de nosotros las cuales ya habían sido atendidas. Gente que llegó después de nosotras fueron atendidas y aún así seguían sin atendernos. Después nos atendió esa señora (short girl, curly hair) nos contestaba mal y no nos quería dar lo que pedíamos. Termine sin comprar nada por la forma tan fea que tiene de atender a la gente.

Simple place with a variety of Hispanic goodies. My go to place when I want some fresas con chocolate(strawberry w/chocolate)! I also enjoy their chamango, sooooooo delicious. The mangos are a bit too frozen, but it'll defrost sooner or later, no biggie, I managed lol. However, I am not a Spanish speaker nor do I understand it that much, so it was difficult to communicate with the people working there but luckily I had my boyfriend there and he helped a bit! I definitely plan on trying other different goodies that they happen to have pretty soon!!
