Old Texas Brewing

My review for Old Texas Brewing from last week is gone ... disappeared ... or ran away, but it was a good review. LOLOld Texas Brewing has a lot to offer their customers. Large variety of dark and lite beer (their own brew) plus cocktails. The food was delicious, we had brisket nachos, and pretzels. What a combination, but they were very good and fortunately, I was enjoying it so much. I forgot to take pictures.The establishment is quite large. They've got a large dining area plus the bar and then they also have outside seating and also on the roof where they may have a local band play. Awesome atmosphere there was a lot of chatting, laughter and people just having a good time visiting other friends.We stayed till closing !The waitresses were very nice and stayed on top making sure that we had everything we needed. Made me feel special. I highly recommend The Old Texas Brewing Company for your next date night or girls night out !!!The place was beautifully decorated inside and out, and the staff were on their toes ! Thanks Ladies and Pam, I had a great time. Let's do it again.

After a few hours of looking and hiking around dinosaur tracks, we were headed back to Crowley and stopped at Old Texas Brewing. In spite of it's name, it looked new.We were seated right away and were surprised to learn it was "the happiest" time of day, happy hour. There is a decent selection of drinks and nibbles, including taco Tuesday $2.50 tacos.The younger gal that served us was attentive and helpful.We ordered the HH brisket nachos, caprese salad, 3 tacos, and 2 tacos with a lemon and watermelon margaritas on the rocks. I could tell my husband was a little disappointed when the 3 taco plate came with rice and beans and his was just the tacos. She explained the 3 tacos comes with rice and beans so I asked her to add a taco so he could get the rice and beans. He was happy again. My son said the brisket and chicken were a tad dry.The watermelon margarita was sweet with a bit of sour, very good and strong. But I am a weak drink link.Overall, a great experience and would come back on my way through to Crowley.

The service was good and the brisket chips and cheese was pretty good! My sandwich was good, but slightly dry. The desert cheesecake was a 10/10

Have a standing reservation for the party room. Received confirmation text the day before confirming the reservation only to find that another party meeting 30 minutes after my reservation time had been given the party room. My party got moved to the main dining room making it impossible to conduct the business we had planned to discuss. This poor customer service earns them this 1 star rating and questionable on my future business.

My husband and I went to brunch here. The food was good, the drinks were strong and the price wasnt bad. I had the chicken and waffles, my husband had the chicken fried steak with eggs.

Cute downtown! Great location! Seated immediately and presented the drink menu which was surprisingly extensive. Selected the house brewed hazy IPA which was just okay. Wife had Chardonnay which was very acceptable. Jake P answered all menu questions quickly. My wife opted for the deep-fried cod & shrimp (lunch sized) for dinner. To have a smaller sized option was really NICE! It was exceptional ... freshly dipped and lightly fried. I rather expected a brew house to either overcook or use older oil but this was absolutely exceptional!!! I opted for half of a French dip brisket sandwich and a bowl of Potato Soup. Both were great! The dipping sauce obviously had a slight thickener in it as there was little dripping! A much easier (and cleaner) French Dip!! I finished off with a Vanilla Bourbon Barrel CreamAle from a KY brewer which was stellar! Ambiance is 'brew pub' so it gets a bit noisy but our time was great! Thanks Jake P!! Job well done!

Met a friend here for dinner before heading to the Juneteenth celebration. I don't recall the server's name but she was thorough and checked in on us regularly. I ordered an apple Gorgonzola side salad as an appetizer and my friend ordered fried pickles. For my entree, I had the half size of brisket nachos and a frozen mango margarita to wash it down with. I was really surprised with the amount of meat was on the nachos. I did have to request more queso and wish that it had been seasoned. Overall, an affordable nice place to check out for lunch or dinner.

I'm going to say we had a waitress that's the only reason for the 2 stars food was terrible asparagus was overcooked mashed potatoes tasted like boxed brown gravy was gross I'm sure if your coming here to get drunk and listen to live music it's probably good but that wasn't what I was here for

The service was great and the beers were cold! I ordered a prickly pear margarita and it was pretty good. We ordered apps and they were just plain bar food items. I've been here a couple of times now and I can say the food is a hit or miss. Getting drinks here is a good idea but I think the menu needs to be revised and some recipes need to be updated.

Food & service is always good. Love the rooftop area especially when they have live music.
