Ojos Locos Sports Cantina

A co-worker and I were staying at a hotel nearby and wanted a beer and dinner. Ojos Locos was across the street so off we went. I knew it's a Hispanic oriented Twin Peaks styled place but wasn't sure what to expect. First, you will get patted down for weapons upon entry. Ok. That's different. But the security guys were supper nice. But then we are two older white guys so maybe that helped. Super friendly waitress. Drank two of those DosAritas. I think that's right. A Dos Equis in a frozen margarita. Never had one before. I need these in my life. Monday's is $.69 boneless wings so boneless wings it was w/ FFs. Food was really good. No complaints. Lots of TVs. Music a bit loud for me, but I'm getting hard of hearing so one offsets the other I guess. We enjoyed ourselves. Had a good time.

So I stopped at a hotel in Dallas, and I was starving, and I saw this place across the street and figured that I'd go in and get some tacos.When I entered I was immediately, at the door, shaken down by security guards who were checking everyone coming in for ID and apparently weapons. Very strange. Very unexpected for what I thought was just a normal Mexican restaurant. Anyway, I went with it because hey...tacos. As I walked into the place I realized that it was more of a Mexican sports bar than a regular restaurant, with a big emphasis on the bar. Lots of people. Kind of loud. Huge containers of beer on many tables. Even huger TVs with lots of sports. And the most unexpected thing...the wait staff was all nearly naked. Not like hooters or twin peaks with skimpy uniforms...but as close to naked as one could be without being naked. Strange. Unexpected. Anyway, the place was lively, the prices were good, and the tacos and beans were really fantastic. Would definitely order again. So if you're in the market for some delicious tacos and sports and large containers of beer, and you don't mind being shaken down by security guards and being served by nearly naked people, give this place a shot.

We're old and white. Imagine walking into a Hispanic restaurant and being caught by surprise like that. We were the only 2 white people that I saw. And besides staff, my wife was the only woman I saw. That being said, we had a fantastic experience. What a love bunch of young ladies to have taking care of customers. I'm not accustomed to the wait staff being so beautiful. And the food - oooo weeer. It was marvelous. My wife suggested that er get a gallon of their pinto beans. Senior moment - can't remember what they're called but they are delicious. She had some of the best fajitas we've ever had. I had carnitas tacos. Yummy. And the rice? I'm never a huge fan of Spanish Rice. Their rice was delicious. Even though we'll still probably be the only white folks there, we'll be going back. The food and atmosphere was that good.

We normally visit the other location, but now that this is open and so much closer to home, we stopped by. It's a Thursday night NFL draft on most tvs. And super packed. Our waitress was awesome. They searched you before entering. Security said they just started that. Music is loud but expected with a variety of music being played. Our appetizer was the nachos and I got the Gringo burger the Mr tried the lemon pepper chicken wings Both came with seasoned fries . Everything came out good but the fries were a little on the cold side but the seasoning was tasty.

Was staying at a hotel near this restaurant, looking for a place for dinner. Wondered in, great food and service. Welcomed! Thank you Ximena for your friendly service. Probably wouldn't bring the kiddos!

I went on my 21st birthday and the waiter said I wasn't allowed to drink till the next day? I don't get it I was turning 21 but didn't get allowed to drink.

Went with my family today to eat and have a couple of drinks. The waitress came to out table like a total of 3 times and the place wasn't busy. She had one other table with nothing but guys and most of her time was with them. We were there still having a good time when we got up to leave I had to go to the front to pay and another girl gave me my bill. Our waitress charged us about $40 extra but couldn't find her and I felt stupid having to wait or talk to a manager. Ended up paying $185 instead of $140. Just be careful when u go make sure they get the things right. Food was great but not the service. Doubt I'll be going there again.

What a waste of time...came in , sat for 15 min , waitress never came to even take our drink order . A bit busy but no reason to not even take a drink order . Waitresses standing around chatting. Won't come back and wouldn't recommend unless you just wanna sit for a couple hours needing eye candy...not worth it

Here for the Rangers Playoff game. They're showing the game on the tv but no sound? Smh. I asked the manager if she could put the sound on so me and basically the whole restaurant could hear the game. She simply said no. Will not be back for games
