Nickel City

I stopped by yesterday for happy hour with a friend. We stayed from 4-6p and had the best time. The happy hour drinks were affordable and their holiday selection of beverages was vast. The bartender was friendly and drinks tasted great. The slider and tots were a hit and I'd hands down order again. Regardless of the excellent food and drink, the ambiance and holiday zest alone are reason enough to visit.

Super cute bar! I went after the holidays unfortunately because I hear they go all out with their decor! My friends and I got a bunch of food and shared it all which I definitely feel was the move. There wasnt anything I had that I didnt like although I do wish they had a veggie option on their menu because the meal left me desiring something fresh. I think the closest thing they have to a veggie on their menu is pickles or jalapeño poppers. I dont drink and they did have a couple of mocktails! Somewhere under 10 which I still think is a fine variety. I had the disco dust mocktail and omg it was sooo yummy! I loved the coconut milk in it. The bartender gave helpful recommendations which is refreshing. We went around dinner time and it was very chill and not too packed. It was a great night and a great bar!

We try to make it here during Christmastime each year. Nickel City does it right with amazing decor and a special holiday mixed drink menu with some unusual but very good drinks in special mugs or other glassware. I recommend the Christmasaurus and the Jingle Balls Nog. Some times can be crowded, but a nice relaxing experience. The popup is called, 'Miracle on South Main.'drink prices are average for the area.

I've been here so many times and it never disappoints. It sort of has something for everyone. A huge selection of bourbon, including the rare and allocated stuff (all decently priced). Has a huge tequila selection in their bodega. They also have a decent amount of beers on draft and have a good cocktail menu. They have fun pop ups for Christmas and Halloween. Friendly staff

Pretty consistent although there have admittedly been times I walked in and backed out due to large crowds, if you'd do the same I'd recommend week days or early weekends. The last few times I've been here Connor greets me warmly and always remembers what I had the time before as I can sometimes be indecisive. I haven't yet had a bad experience, but have been around some not so friendly staff a time or two, but backup usually helps them recover. The first visit here I was given background on the history of the bar and work it took to get it shipped to TX, and it adds some character to the space giving it somewhat of a 'Cheers' vibe, iykyk. Food hits the spot and is pretty good for bar food, sliders any day of the week for me, but occasionally opt for the wings or tenders. Needless to say I'll be back...

Nicole City is just a regular bar on S Main. However, during holiday seasons, they go ALL OUT! They have halloween and Christmas pop up bars, and that's just super fun. Be prepared to wait though.

What a wonderful holiday experience! I actually got late lunch at Hot Box and went over to check out the holiday pop up and I'm glad I did. Shocking they have had to post DONT STEAL signS all over the venue - really ? Shame shame you dirty thieves!!! They have Santa at the door checking your bags but I don't blame them - it's not the 80s anymore for sure!!! I digress This is a great spot! Staff is attentive and decor amazing. They have daily Happy Hour until6 and the holiday beverages are available too Make sure you add this to the love list for your holidays..(And don't go if you're a thief!)

Waited an hour in line to get in here during the Christmas season and don't think it was worth it. It's a tiny place so we didn't have anywhere to sit until the very end. Drinks were meh. Food was fine. The bartender was not nice and seemed visibly annoyed at any question we had about the menu. Maybe this place is better when it's not a pop up?

Nickel City in Fort Worth is truly one of DFW's crown jewels when it comes to authentic bars, offering a distinct, welcoming atmosphere and a consistently remarkable menu. Best Halloween decoration in the city

Everyone needs to visit Nickel City, especially at Christmastime. It's one of those trendy bars that does Christmas really big -- everything is decked out in decor, wrapping paper covered walls and tables, cutesy figurines all over, ornaments hanging from the ceiling, garland galore. They have a holiday menu with festive craft cocktails served in speciality, holiday glassware, like Santa's boots and "Naughty & Nice" Santa shot glasses. Super cute and really fun. I was sad to hear that a lot of their Christmas decor gets stolen, so they do bag checks on your way out the door. Stop stealing things, people! What the hell?!The bar here is so beautiful and the bartenders are all stellar. They really make a lovely cocktail and have all the right goodies for an impressive drink. I'm always impressed by their beautiful array of ingredients and garnishes all laid out pretty and ready. And then they have totally simple stuff on the menu, like PBR and corn dogs and wings. It gets way crowded in here during peak bar-times, but the bar is so well run and the drinks are so good, it makes sense.
