The absolute best sushi/handroll place in Dallas and the only sushi place I tend to go nowadays. I'm actually shocked that I hadn't written them a review yet! We go so often that I'm pretty sure most of the chefs and staff recognize us!They don't take reservations and are a small restaurant (seats 16-17 at the bar), but there usually isn't much of a wait if you go on a weekday or avoid peak dinner hours on the weekends (I'd say get there before 6:30pm or after 8:30pm on weekends). As soon as you're seated, the server comes by and walks you through the menu and the specials board that can change daily depending on what fish they have available. I pretty much always order the same few items, and here are my favorites in order: chu-toro (medium fatty tuna) nigiri, salmon belly nigiri, shrimp katsu handroll (this one is sooooo good and freshly fried to order, I think it's often overlooked), gindara (black cod) nigiri, spicy salmon handroll, hama chili sashimi, salmon truffle sashimi. My husband also really likes the ama-ebi (sweet shrimp) nigiri, scallop nigiri, and spicy tuna handroll. The fish is always so fresh and melts in your mouth. If I could afford to eat here every day, I would! Also, highly recommend asking for an extra side of pickled wasabi--it's probably one of the best condiments to ever exist!

One of the best handroll places in Dallas! They don't take reservations, but I haven't had to wait longer than 15 min for a seat. They do a good job of pacing your order while ensuring the wait isn't too long for others. I've gotten the handroll sets, which are always good if you're not sure what to order. They also have an impressive set of specials, especially for nigiri. I've ordered the premium Japanese uni and wagyu, which were delicious! Some of the best uni in Dallas without needing full omakase prices. I also got the scallops -- although these were fresh, they didn't have the same sweetness as Hokkaido scallops, so just something to keep in mind. Might have just been out of season during the time I ordered, though. Overall, this is one of my favorite spots in Dallas and would definitely encourage anyone to try it!

This is my favorite handroll bar of choice. I don't know why it doesn't get as much attention. It's hidden in a strip mall off on Greenville Ave. near Lovers. The restaurant only has bar seating available.I typically order the crab, yellowtail and spicy tuna handrolls. They have daily specials, but I stick to my favorites. The menu also offers combos of three, four and five handrolls chosen for you to make it easier. The service is so quick. I come in order my handrolls and I'm usually out in 45 minutes.

I dined here solo a few nights ago after Eric R. went to hang out with friends. It I arrived a little after 9 PM and was seated right away. The service was great, and I enjoyed talking with the chef who was right in front of me. Upon walking in, I was told to snap a photo of the huge specials board, which was a good idea because the handwriting was quite small and it was on the other side of the room from my seat. There were hooks under the bar which was great for both my purse and raincoat.I ordered hot green tea and filled out the sheet with a pencil on the counter to get started. My first round included nigiri: akami, kinmedai, otoro, and gen-masaba, and temaki: "yume" (toro, salmon belly, uni), hamachi, and salmon skin. For my second round, I asked both the chef and server what they recommended, and I went for a combination of those: nogoduro, shima aji, hotate with uni, hirame, salmon belly, and aburi hamachi with yuzu miso. The food came out quickly and was paced well, as the chef alternated serving to me and the guests around me. My hot tea was refilled several times, and I had plenty of ginger on the counter plus a side of soy sauce. With such an enormous specials list, a visit back would allow for so many new things to try. I did not try any of the sashimi plates which seemed very popular; everyone around me was ordering hamachili. There are many options for beer but they are all in bottles, in case you are a draft snob. Itadakimasu!

Surprised to find such a great handroll place tucked into the corner of Greenville. They are doing construction outside so it might be a little hard to find.Inside it's a little intimate open kitchen concept. Each piece is made to order so the quality is always gonna be fresh. They have a daily menu change of their specials (can also check out their insta before coming too for the special menu). Hand rolls are stuffed with fresh fish!! My favorite was the salmon and scallop handroll. Always try to get the salmon belly and gindara nigiri. I loved both their salmon truffle sashimi and yellow tail.Staff were super friendly and nice. They always told us which pieces they were serving and was there for any questions. Highly recommend if you are craving hand rolls, nigiri, or sashimi!

There was construction on the outside but it's suite 111 - at the end. About half full on a random Tuesday afternoon and we were seated very quickly. The waitress was friendly and so attentive!! Got the combo rolls - salmon, crab, yellowtail, scallops, lobster. The chef will gauge your eating speed and provide freshly rolled rolls to you. I think the prep for the seaweed involves roasting and lightly oiling? Not sure but it was really good! Crispy and full of flavor. The rice was nicely seasoned with vinegar and stayed warm. The contrast of the warm and cold of the fish - perfection Each sashimi was very good quality. Salmon and yellowtail were very fatty. Scallops and crab were sweet. The lobster had some spices mixed in and a bit saltier which I could go without. Side order of uni&wagyu was delish. Kin medai was buttery and amazing char flavor good for breaking up the flavor if needed. I think their high quality fish and seaweed makes this place stand out. I'm used to California inflation so prices seemed great to me haha Definitely adding this place as a staple here!

We come to Naminohana often because it's so easy, quick, and delicious. The waitresses are always kind, as are the sushi chefs. The sushi always tastes fresh. Don't skip the Spicy Salmon Handroll, the Salmon with house mustard, hamachili, or the Madai nigiri. Love this place!

Don't even bother getting the 3 piece hand roll. You will 100% order more. Got the toro+uni nigiri and the black cod. Black cod was my fave. I also did the 3 piece hand roll. Ended up ordering another crab and salmon skin. Everything tasted fresh. The nori was especially crispy and had great mouth feel. Will make this a regular spot. Tell your wallet you're sorry cause it's pricey.
