Motherwells Bbq

The Brisket was absolutely delicious! Moist, not to fatty, just enough black pepper and smoke. The potato salad was ok. I like mustard and this was a little more Dill. The peach cobbler was disappointing. However, I came for the smoked meat and they knocked it out the park.

Being new residents to the area, we were stoked to try this place for lunch yesterday. We were beyond disappointed. The brisket was mostly fat and not edible. That's usually my go to, so to not be able to eat the main show was sad. We spent over $100 to try the ribs and sausage with a variety of sides and desserts...and they didn't include any barbecue sauce. I had even included it on the notes and special instructions. Needless to say, that felt like a slap in the face. Lots of dry meats with no sauce.

Great food, fast service. Reasonable pricing. The trifecta for a great lunch spot! Feeling blessed

We tried their brisket and ribs. The brisket was covered in grease, there was literally a puddle of grease under the brisket and the ribs smelled and tasted spoiled, so we could not eat any of the food. We've eaten tons of BBQ from many different place, so we know that was not normal.

We decided to try this new addition to Princeton and we were pleasantly surprised! From the friendliness of the owner to the taste of the food, this really is a place you need to try. We didn't get any sides, since we have three kids who don't like normal bbq sides, but we got a 1/2 pound of 5 different meats and I will break them down one by one. Pulled pork: maybe the best pulled pork I have had since moving down to Texas. It was pulled to perfection and it really packed some good flavor. Paired with either the sweet or original sauce, it didn't lose its flavor and made a super good bite. Sausage: this sausage was my wife's favorite of the bunch. It has a kielbasa flair to it, and was super good on its own or paired with their sauces. We really got a lot of it. My kids really liked it as well (which is saying something if you know them). Turkey: My only complaint was that it was dry. Flavor was on point and paired with the sauces you could barely tell. Ribs: we were split on these but my son and I both agree these were pretty dang good. I loved the rub they put on them (way better than the Traeger rub I used on mine last week). My wife didn't like the texture, as they were not fall off the bone. These definitely had a tug on them, but were really meaty, and the flavor was SO good. I am a big stickler for ribs as so many big chains can't seem to get them right. These were done right. I am also jealous of their rub. Brisket: this was my sons favorite. I will omit my thoughts here as I am not a fan of brisket (at all) so it isn't super fair for me to judge. Everyone else loved it. My son REALLY loved it. Most of that half pound is in that 6 year old stomach right now. Overall, they had something for everyone. They were friendly, relatively quick (since it is one guy in there and we ordered a bunch) and best of all DELICIOUS! Not to mention we spent half of what we would a couple miles down the street (you all know who I am talking about). Thank you for bringing your talents to Princeton. We will be back!

Pretty sure the great reviews are the result of small town small business support. I've never had a spud from a BBQ joint that wasn't stuffed to the brim with meat and only enough sauce to drizzle on top. Lackluster. Also, I watched the guy chopping the brisket to prep the potato and he discarded the fatty ends BBQ blasphemy. If you're gonna get a potato with meat just order the spud alone and order the .5lb of meat on the side, you'll make out better in the long run. And get extra sauce because the bland potato to topping ratio gets really boring after a few bites. Also tried the jalapeño sausage... again, not terrible, not great. Springy and tender, but salty and not much spice. They didn't give me enough sauce to have with it, only the potato drizzle one ounce (cup holds 2oz) cup. Not sure if the spicy sauce is really even spicy, gets too drown out in the potato. Prefer Redwines just a couple more miles down 380.

Fantastic food! Very friendly service! No real ambiance as this is road-side. You have to try it!

Really good bbq at a fair price. Bark on the brisket is excellent. Baked potato with meat on top is enough for 2 people. It's huge! We also love the Cole slaw because it is not sweet at all. Goes well with the Q. Seating is outdoors only so plan on getting it to go or dining at one of their picnic tables. Great value!

The food was delicious until I found a foreign object in my 1/2 eaten chopped beef sandwich. I went back to the window and showed it to the girl (who was very nice). She showed it to the guy sitting by the back door. He looked at the sandwich and told her it's "just a piece of saran wrap the beef was wrapped in". She relayed the message and asked what I wanted to do. I told her I wanted my sandwich because it was good. He proceeded to wrap a half sandwich, place it in a bag and that is what they presented me with. Not an apology, a fresh whole sandwich, refund, complimentary item, NOTHING! Sir... this is NOT how you handle business. Accept accountability, apologize, and do whatever it takes to make it right. Treat your customers right especially considering I could have died right there in your parking lot due to your negligence of removing all foreign items from your food.

LET ME PUT YALL ON!!! First off, amazing service. So, so friendly! These Texas Twinkie's are to die for! And the cowboy elote oh my goodness. Slap your grandma in the face good. (Not literally!) everything was so amazing. So tender. So flavorful. Definitely getting this catered for our daughter's birthday. We are customers for life! Oh and how quickly we got our food. Some places take a while. But here they were very fast with service. And again, such friendly hometown people! Thanks y'all! I would share a photo but we ate all of it too fast haha come and get it!
