Monaco

My goodness, Monaco really exceeded our expectations. We went for a late afternoon lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday. The ambiance is nice and classy without being pretentious or intimidating. Exceptional music choices. I feel like a bit of an ass for not remembering our waiter's name, but he was pretty much perfect, super patient and helpful with my elderly parents. We enjoyed everything we ate, from the arancini appetizer and wedge salad to the strip steak, homemade pasta, and fancy grilled cheese. The couple of cocktails I had were delicious, and they have a pretty good happy hour. They comped one of our desserts for my mom's birthday, which is always appreciated, and the cheesecake was so good that my mom got an extra one to take home. Really enjoyed our experience, highly recommend.

Let me start with the positives... great service and ambiance. Here we go..negatives.. LACK OF FLAVOR. I never ask for salt, EVER, but we did here. We started with the meatballs and 2 side Cesar salads. Taste like no salt added tomato sauce out of a can. I didn't think you could mess up a salad but the vinegar croutons overpowered the salad. My wife and I both got pastas. She got the Bolognese and I got an "off the menu" special pasta with vodka sauce and penne pasta..was supposed to be spicy. No flavor whatsoever. The Bolognese did have bacon in it which gave it SOME flavor but was not worth the price .... Or my time... overall, I would say just to come for the ambiance and some drinks .

Sadly I did not love this place, we went for lunch on a Monday and we were literally the only people in the place. We split 2 sandwiches, the beef dip and the chicken/bacon. We also kinda got upsold into getting fries (which actually were not needed since the sandwich comes with (even better) house-made potato chips. The kitchens did split it for us, but neither of these things were great.Maybe the thing here is the dinner and the housemade pastas? I dunno, but I doubt we will be back.

I came to Monaco for Sunday brunch after a monthly car show that happens in the plaza. It seems like it's more of a dinner spot so wasn't crowded like a couple of the other more casual restaurants nearby. The vibe was elegant and classy. I had the breakfast hash and my friends ordered the eggs Benedict and breakfast burger. I really enjoyed the hash. The pickled onions and amazing chili sauce paired perfectly with the richness of the beef cheek. And I could tell the crispy potatoes were freshly made. We shared a pitcher of mimosas with fresh OJ for $20 and they also had a handful of cocktail specials as well.

Took the team to dinner in this establishment Pretty good overall . We started w some appetizers: I especially enjoyed the tartar and the burrata and perschutto appetizers which were yummy I then ordered the branzino which was excellent - crispy and juicy at the same time Service was good and fast . Drinks were also descent Recommended

This is a hidden gem... total surprise for our unplanned evening out. Wine list is reasonably priced and very interesting. We started with the chick pea fries and they did not disappoint. Crispy, delicious! We shared the Beet Carpaccio Salad.... It was a terrific blend of earthiness, sweet and acid. My main entree was the shrimp and polenta... my husband's was the Creamy Calabrian pasta. In both dishes the shrimp was beautifully butterflied. The flavors were complex, intriguing and satisfying. For dessert we shared the espresso crème brûlée. It was cooked very nicely with the crunchy caramelized top which has unfortunately been missed recently at other restaurants, coupled with a tasty custard and an espresso finish. Do not miss this spot!

**4.5 Stars**Food: Great! Had a meatball appetizer, pizza, bolognese, and a shrimp pasta. Everything was flavorful. The bolognese could've used more of a kick, but still good nonetheless.Drinks: The Martinis are definitely not weak. Cocktails are good along with the wine selection. Service: Friendly, welcoming and inviting. From host, to the waiter, to management. Food came out in a good amount of time. Ambiance: Very nicely decorated and unique. The place is more intimate in its setting and location is unique. Definitely recommend when stopping in Las Colinas!

I've been here twice. Once was I lived in Dallas and I really liked this place before that's why I came back to this place while traveling in Dallas at this time. My first time experience was great and I wanted go this place again with my friends who was visit me first time but unfortunately we disappointed our second time here. Tasted little different than first time. Served really slow maybe from busy. I recommend this place only pizza here or scallops. Pasta was over cooked. We didn't finish pasta because not good enough. You can seated outside table with your dog or when nice weather. Even inside seat was great from modern interior. So clean place and all server was accommodating.

The scallops are excellent! We ordered several things on the menu. -Burrata (was an nice offering with good accompaniments)-beet salad(beets were thin and salad was not much?-pasta(no flavor)-dessert- fantastic -mussels (small but good flavorThe stand out was the scallops. I would go back just for that.

Delicious food, good customer service. The restaurant is quaint and nicely decorated on the inside.
