Dilemma, just try it! It's like 3 margaritas in one.
Great outdoor patio!
The view from the back of the restaurant. Not as full as our wait times & poor service might suggest. At least it's pretty.

Food was excellent. Waitress was very nice and accommodating. Alexi went out of her way to please us and take care of us. I ordered the wrong drink...didn't play close enough attention to description. I didn't like like it and the waitress got manager to make it right for me. He bent over backwards to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Came back to make sure I liked it.The restaurant seemed clean and ambiance pleasing.I don't know why this location isn't rated higher than the other locations. From my experiences with other locations this one was definitely the best experience by far

If you like spicy and queso, the Sunset Enchiladas are delicious! I also love that they have "skinny" frozen margaritas! I really enjoyed our service from Tony! He was very personable and attentive! He brought us out some yummy salsa's to try out! We will be back to see him again soon!

I recently visited Mi Cocina and had mixed feelings about my experience. While the ambiance and atmosphere were enjoyable, I was disappointed with the service. Our waiter, who unfortunately didn't introduce himself, seemed to overlook some basic details. We were not provided with napkins or silverware at our table, which was quite inconvenient. His willingness to offer suggestions on menu items was absent. We had to ask him several times about different items and felt after two attempts, it wasn't really going anywhere. Additionally, my coffee was served cold, which was a letdown. On a positive note, the food was flavorful and well-prepared, which is always a highlight. I believe there's potential for improvement in service, as these small details can significantly enhance the dining experience. Overall, I would rate it 3 to 4 stars, hoping for better service on my next visit.

This really is a lovely restaurant with indoor/outdoor dining. I could see this as a nice date spot. I really wanted to like this place and I suppose that is evidenced by the number of stars I am giving because this really should be 2 stars, but the service bumps it up and honestly I wanted to give all the stars for that!Let me explain... The meal starts with the customary chips and salsa. The chips are not freshly made, they are your standard/generic chips. Nothing special or differentiating, but I suppose this is standard for Tex-mex. The salsa wasn't bad, but it is not great. Probably could be improved by adding pico.I ordered the Shrimp Brochette as my main entree. The shrimp arrives and they are freshly prepared, large succulent pieces! I can't lie, I was hungry & excited! Verde rice sounds interesting, so I'm ready to dig in.I start with the bean soup which had cilantro, I quickly thought "what a nice touch". It was the star of the show. The verde rice didn't have much flavor... puzzling! The guac was pretty good, especially with a squeeze of lime. It also paired nicely with the bean soup.Ok back to the main dish. It's smothered in cheese and with each bite, I am more and more confused. Accepting the anticlimactic experience that it was, I began to try mixing with pico, guac, lime.. anything that could help make the dish more palatable. I really didn't want to waste my food, but it was so dissatisfying. As I'm sitting, contemplating my disappointment... a kind woman stops by to check in. She asks how everything is as most restaurant staff tend to do, BUT she read the room. My friend said "good", but I only smiled and said nothing. Most would keep it moving, but she did not and seemed genuinely curious as she pressed me to understand "if everything was ok". When I said not really, she probed further, "what can we do differently?" Can you say impactful??! I really appreciated her effort! She listened intently as I served up my critiques, then kindly offered to make it right. What a refreshing experience. Based on the service alone I would visit again and try something else, perhaps the chicken fajitas. They smelled great and my friend was satisfied with hers. Maybe next time... Thank you Fanny and Elena.

My nachos were ok, but they were missing the beans, there were bits of steak ($4 up-charge) instead of strips, and they had a hair in them. They were also on the salty side. The guacamole and frozen mango margarita were excellent, though.Service at the bar was friendly when they were around, but I sat there for several minutes before anyone showed up. Admittedly it was late afternoon when it was slower except for a few customers. The atmosphere was nice as you'd expect for a Mi Cocina, but good luck getting a cell signal or good WiFi here... perhaps it was just where I sat.If I come back to this location I'd try a different dish and a different time of day in hopes of a better experience.

I love Mi Cocina and I have visited several locations. Their food is consistently good and the service is always outstanding. My last visit was to the Watters Creek location and I decided to do curbside takeout. I got home with my food to discover that it was perfectly packaged for transport and while I missed the wonderful ambiance of their dining room (there's no one to offer me another margarita in my kitchen) my meal was delicious!

Seems like a popular place but I'm not sure I like the ambience or the food that much. The seating arrangement is a bit odd and everyone is kind of facing center of the room. The decor looks fancy and lighting is generous though. I guess the layout just seems a bit tight and uncomfortable for walking around.Food is a bit overpriced for what it is but that's the norm for the area. My fish tacos wasn't what I expect it to taste like and the steak we got was definitely more rare than medium-rare. It tasted awesome but hard to chew.

Service in bar area was great! Sat at a high top table for drinks and apps and football - all superb! I had the skinny mambo frozen with chambord while my friends had the regular- delicious and strong (in a good way). Chips, queso and guac were yum (house made chips, and probably some of the best guac I've had). The brisket taco perfecto, and the beef and chicken nachos served in individual chips were muy bueno! All food is made from scratch kitchen. Atmosphere is very nice and modern- good for dates, entertaining friends/clients/family. Highly recommend for one of the best Tex-mex restaurants.

I was in mood of TexMex today, so I thought of trying Mi Cocina for solo lunch. This grandscape location has plenty of dedicated parking for its customer. The restaurant gives an upscale vibe. The inside is divided between the dining room and a bar which also has booths for group sit down. The ambience is nice, with slow mexican music playing in the background. There is an outdoor covered sitting area as well. I ordered Shrimp Fajita for lunch. But before that I got complementary nachos and fresh salsa. The food came out very quickly and was fresh. The server was very pleasant and kept checking with me to refill my soda and salsa from time to time. Overall, I had a nice experience and would recommend it for a nice quiet lunch, dinner with family or friends, or solo as was the case with me .
