Several locations convenient to me. Preston, Rockwall, and Dallas. Upscale Mexican, but not too upscale. Family friendly. Good Enchiladas. Guacamole. Appetizers Good choice if looking for a great meal.

Honestly, I don't understand how this place gets such high reviews unless it's just the location. I ordered the 2 cheese enchilada lunch special; couldn't even eat the enchiladas. The cheese was chunky and not melted thoroughly. The beans and rice were ok. My skinny margarita was not good. My server was friendly but seemed rushed. I would not return.

LOVE the CHILE CON QUESO and the POBLANO CHICKEN ENCHILADAS! If I wasn't eating alone, I'd totally try some other dishes! The server was super sweet and attentive. Can't wait to go back when I'm in town. ENJOY! PS: This location is in the Galleria shopping mall, on the same floor as the ice skating rink.

Twenty plus years ago, I had an office in one of the Galleria towers and I would go down to the ice rink level at lunch and eat at a place called Mi Cocina ("My Kitchen"). My favorite dish there was something I still remember to this day. It's called Mama's Chicken con Hongos. So here I am almost two dozen years later in the Galleria and what do I see by the ice rink but Mi Cocina, right where I'd left it when I moved away. The decor was just what I'd remembered. And what does it still have on the menu? (Aside from killer Margaritas?) You guessed it! Mamas Chicken con Hongos :-) And it tasted every bit as good as I'd remembered. Hongos means mushrooms. This is a perfectly seasoned, juicy chicken breast, thinly sliced atop a huge bed of sauteed mushrooms, onions and poblano peppers. So tastey! It comes out piping hot on an iron skillet, like fajitas, and it's served with Spanish rice and tortillas. It's delicious, very filling and healthy, I love it!Our server was attentive. The jalapeño-agave margaritas (in the rocks) were perfect. And we enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole, too. It was a very nice dinner in addition to being an enjoyable, nastolgic trip dowm memory lane. I don't live in the D/FW area any more. But something tells me I won't take so long next time to find my way back here. It was a great memory, perfectly relived. That you, Mi Cocina!

During girls shopping day we usually stop here for snacks and drinks. The food is standard MiCocina quality. Hanging out by the skating rink is a pretty cool feature. There is generally enough room for us and our bags without making it awkward. Our usual order to go with the chips and salsa is queso and flour tortillas. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer is another one of our favorites. I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this location but if you're shopping in the Galleria and want to have a Tex-Mex meal, come try it out.

Jaimes was great! Quick and delicious food and service. Perfect for a quick lunch in between meetings!

Dropped in for a quick lunch here at the Galleria. Jose was our server and he was very polite and respectful. The brisket tacos and tamales were outstanding, as usual. The restaurant overlooks the galleria skating rink where they recently decorated for Chinese new year. Beautifully done.

Food is great and the staff provided great service. They are on the budget friendly side too!

Soooooo a friend and I came in for drinks to my usual server Yaire. I specifically asked the host (I believe her name was Norma) to sit us in her section and she literally ignored my request. She was very dismissive and rude. Luckily Yaire was able to reseat us and we eventually enjoyed our visit because as usual her service is wonderful
