I'm gonna make this review short and sweet! An A+ dining experience. The ambiance, the service, the food, the wine offerings... all first class. And plenty of parking. Free Parking! NO. Really. This is Mansfield, people, not Fort Worth or Dallas. So well worth the drive (well except for what looks a third world road construction project on I-20/820. Find an alternate route until this is completed). The service is exceptionally efficient...multiple people attending to each table - servers, runners, hosts and hostesses, managers. Impressive. And every single one is hustling about their business so fast that at one point my wife said "They're wearing me out! ". LOL. Perfectly cooked filet. Excellent onion soup and wedge salad. As the wine list is not posted on the website I'm posting it here. Also the menu on the website is not current. Prices are unsurprisingly a few dollars higher.

My family's experience at Meehan's Chophouse this evening was far from what we expected. From the moment we were seated in the back of the restaurant, the service was noticeably lacking. We waited nearly 20 minutes without being greeted by our waiter, who never showed up. Instead, a busboy provided bread and water before moving on to clear other tables.To make matters worse, a couple seated 15 minutes after us was immediately attended to by the same waiter assigned to our section. We could even hear him discussing the menu with them, while we continued to be ignored. It wasn't until I approached the hostess that the manager finally arrived at our table.While the manager eventually apologized, citing a "miscommunication between staff," the poor service was inexcusable. I will say, he did ask that we give them another chance on our way out, but I declined. The experiences had already soured my outlook on the restaurant, especially given that my wife had recently hosted an event at this establishment, I was shocked by the stark contrast in service during my first dinner visit. Unfortunately, this experience left a lasting negative impression.

We went to celebrate our son's birthday. The service is very attentive, friendly and profesional, they make you feel welcome from the second you step inside the restaurant. The restaurant it self is very nice and elegant, we liked it.The complimentary bread is fantastic, as well as the butter. Really good! The burrata and prosciutto was excellent. Sadly, and this is our disappointment, my son's lamb and my porterhouse were not in line with the quality of a steakhouse. (Lack of seasoning, not the right searing). On top of that, I ordered a glass of Malbec and it was warm, I ordered a second glass (this time Cabernet) and they poured it in the same glass that I had for the Malbec. A steakhouse is not supposed to do that. My wife had the chicken Milanese, she liked it.My son got a complementary cheese cake for his birthday and we also ordered a creme brûlée, both were delicious. I hope they improve in these "little" details. We'll check them out again soon.

We had reservations for 5:15 pm, and upon arrival our table was waiting for us! We requested for booth and they were able to accommodate the reservation. After being seated, the servers' assistants took our drink orders and immediately gave us fresh dinner rolls! The mini rolls (baguettes) were baked to perfection! The crust was the chef's kiss and the bread was fluffy! The salted butter paired well with the bread! For starters, we ordered the crab cakes and Cesar salad. I didn't care for the crab cakes. The flavor was ok. The crab cakes texture was too mushy for me. They could have seared the crab cakes more and consider adding breading or panko crumbs to help boast the texture. The ramoulade was yummy ! Being that I've read such great reviews, I'd thought to give Meehan's a try! I ordered the 10 oz filet mignon and my husband ordered the Chilean Seabass with mashed potatoes. I was fairly dissatisfied with the filet. I requested for the steak to be cooked medium. It was medium well. Joel immediately brought attention to Scott, the manager. Scott came to our table, apologized, and had another steak made. I also shared with Scott that the mashed potatoes were generously salted.. My second steak came, it was more than medium well. (Still overcooked). We replaced the mashed potatoes with a baked potatoe. The third steak came, and while the medium temperature was correct, the outer steak was very tough and chewy! The grill master must've overly seared the steak and/or placed it in the oven too long... The steak's cut wasn't great, either! It was a poor piece of meat! The steak was gamey, irony! We've eaten at nice steakhouses such as Cuervo Bravos, El Gaucho, The Capital Grille, The Metropolitan, The Woven Chophouse, Chris Ruth's, etc. We are familiar with high quality steaks, and Meehan's didn't do it's justice as to what many people have said, . Customer service was great! Scott and Joel were very apologetic... Scott discounted our meal and he really wanted to make things right! Although their customer service was great, I expected a higher quality of meat and the grilling of the steak. It took three tries, but it still wasn't done correctly. Not sure if this is not the normal grill master or chef, but this isn't good business for the consumer or the restaurant.... Please review the pictures and you can see the third steak's outcome! . Because of this experience, I won't be coming back for steak! My husband said that his Seabass was ok, but it's not return worthy.

Update. It's official, Meehans has become our "Go To" spot for special occasions. We used to take special meals at Ruth's Chris, Morton's or Perry's. Out of town friends and family we took to Eddie V's or Texas. Those are all still great but as we sat in Meehans with guest we realized that the last four or five most special dinners have been right here in Mansfield at Meehans. Food and service every bit as good as the big names above but in our town. Hands down, the best in our area.

We booked private room for a birthday dinner here. Not many people in our party but the restaurant tables were all occupied. Great food & service. Chops were definitely the best. Drinks collection is amazing. Last was the desert served by the restaurant which was strawberry cheesecake topped with a candle. Yummy flavours. Loved everything

The experience was fantastic except a small snafu with the side dishes. They didn't come out until we were almost done with our entrees. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't too big of a deal. Service was great and the food was fabulous.

This was my first time coming to Meehans chophouse, I really enjoyed my experience, but friends had a little bit of a different experience. I came to celebrate my birthday. They have complimentary valet parking, which is very convenient. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I also had a reservation, and my party and I were seated immediately. The vibe is very fancy and the staff caters to you.LJ was our main server. He helped with questions about the menu and gave recommendations. I got a butter pecan old fashioned but appreciated it wasn't too sweet. We shared an appetizer, the calamari, it is cut into thick strips, and the sauce it comes with is amazing. It is spicy, and it compliments so well. For my entree, I got the scallops based on the recommendation, and LJ definitely pointed me in the right direction. They were sweet, tender, and cooked perfectly. My friends experience differed at this point. They both got steak, one got the steak and lobster, and one got steak fries. My friend said the lobster was cooked really well. Both friends' steaks were cooked incorrectly, and the staff did not stay until they cut into the steak. So they they had to wait until we could get someone's attention... which took longer than it should have. They did bring them new steaks and new sides... I had already finished my scallops. My friends' fries were also greasy. The sides we got were really good. The mashed potatoes were creamy. The creamed corn had jalapenos that elevated the corn. It was not super creamy, but it was really good. They gave me a free creme burlee for my birthday. It was one of the best I ever had. The sugar was perfectly hardened, and the custard was tasty.Will I go back, yes, but you may want to get seafood instead of steak.

Went last night and the food and service was amazing. Had some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had! And their molten lava cake was great. My only complaint was that when packing my leftovers they didn't pack my leftover Mac and cheese and I was very upset by this. Besides this, I'd 100% go back again.
