Sunday brunch at McNeal's Tavern & Eatery in Plano was everything I hoped for, and more. From the moment I walked in, the energy was contagious, football games on every screen, and a crowd that clearly knows how to enjoy a weekend.I decided on the chicken and waffles, and let me just say, they nailed it. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The waffles were light and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance everything out. Add a drizzle of syrup, and it was pure bliss on a plate.The service was fantastic. Even with a packed house, the staff was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. They kept the coffee flowing, and checked in just enough without being intrusive.If you're looking for a spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and all the football action you can handle, McNeal's should be at the top of your list. I'll definitely be back, those chicken and waffles are calling my name!

McNeal's Tavern was perfect for our date night! Reasonably priced and we left full and with leftovers. My fiancé ordered a hamburger and thoroughly enjoyed it, and I loved the fish and chips. Our waiter was super friendly and was even able to have the kitchen make loaded fries for us, even though they weren't on the menu! He also gave us darts to enjoy a game while we were there. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stopped in after dinner at a nearby restaurant for one beer and some shuffleboard. The service was great and shuffleboard is a fun bar game so overall I would recommend McNeal's for those in the area. They had a solo guitar player and the first college football game of the year on also. Good time on our anniversary.

We enjoyed trying McNeal's on a sunny Sunday so not only did was try their Bloody Mary special, and we also chose to eat outside and enjoy the nice weather. My husband went with the Meatball Parmigiana sub sandwich. He kept commenting on how delicious the sub was and had the right balance of meat and sauce. I went with the Salad of Champions which was fabulous and filling without adding an optional protein. The mix of greens with all of the fruits and nuts was a great combo in with a balsamic vinaigrette. The goat cheese and tomatoes really rounded out the flavor.Only went with four stars as unfortunately there was one server for the whole place including the bar. She was doing the best she could give the increasing crowd but it was hard to keep water glasses full and really see when people sitting outside needed something more. These weren't reasons not to come back, just be aware in case you need to be somewhere in a hurry.

I'm giving this place a 4.5/5 stars. Food: STELLAR!! We had the fish and chips and the poutine. Both were incredible. Portion sizes were quite generous. 5 stars. Service: STELLAR!! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and quick with the drinks. 5 stars. Ambiance: pretty dang comfy...after we had alcohol. Our only complaint with this place is that the bar area is somewhat small. On the night we came in, all 10 or so seats were taken. We had to sit in the dining room, near the door, and they had the doors open to give an inside/outside vibe. I usually love that vibe...except when it's 101 degrees outside. So it was a little stuffy and we were fighting off a pesky fly. But after a few sips of their bar tender's creations, and a bite or two of their amazing food, we were good. We'll be back for sure!!

Been here twice. Once to check it out, second to watch a football (soccer) match. Staff is very friendly and has a neighborhood bar feel. Lots of beers on tap. The food is amazing. Fish and chips are solid. The bangers and mash they were out of the bangers the first time, but the waiter asked if we wanted to sub for a hamburger patty. Salisbury steak basically. It was amazing. Also have had the sliced beef quesadilla and it was amazing. All the food is really good.

Food is absolutely freaking incredible, it's my 3rd time here in the first week of me finding this place. I definitely will be a weekly regular very soon. I got the new spaghetti they recently added on the menu and it's cooked to perfection by head chef Angel. The service every time I've been has been phenomenal. David the bartender has to be one of my favorite bartenders of all time, extremely attentive and personable. Always makes for a good time. The ambiance is exactly what you would want going to a pub. The energy is high and the beer is cold I would 10/10 recommend this place. Best bar in downtown Plano!

We go here a lot because we live close by and last night we went to bingo! They have bingo occasionally and it is the most fun evening! Lots of fun energy in the room and singing along, yelling for each other and winning prizes! We love bingo night at Mcneals and just about any other event that they host. They have one of the best cheeseburgers ever! Also, classic chicken sandwich is amazing!
