Mason's Chicken 'n Seafood

Just for checking in , I was offered a coupon for a free slice a cake. Such a sweet gesture, only I understand completely why they are offering free cakes , they more than likely don't sell them often or at all. The cake was the worse piece of cake I've ever had. The texture could easily be compared to a Popeyes chicken biscuit, extremely dry.. I ordered the 3 piece catfish meal , that comes with fries and a drink. I also ordered a side of their jalapeño poppers / bombers. The jalapeño poppers were decent, nothing too brag about but also nothing too complain about either. The fish was thin and honestly did not taste like catfish at all but it wasn't bad, I removed the batter from the fish and ate the little meat out. now disregarding the cake being an issue , the fries is what made me mad the most, because after leaving the nail salon I yelp searched catfish near me, and what led me to this place was the fries in the pictures of the menu are the kind of fries that I really enjoy. Upon ordering, their menu at the location also but clearly shows the crinkle fries. I received my order, and it looked nothing like the menu . My fries were hard and stale. The young lady at the window who you could tell was new because she always had to get help for everything that I asked, she was really sweet and had a humorous personality. You can tell she likes working there , and I love to see people especially younger people enjoying their jobs. I've been there before and had their chicken, and enjoyed it. So I'm likely to return again , and try other menu items .

My first time trying this place & I'll rate it a 7.5... My favorite thing was the fresh lemonade! I've never had lemonade that tasted so good & not bitter. The fries were so good & the seasoning on them was good as well. The chicken was giving which was not a problem. I just would've liked it a little dark & crispy. The ranch was good with the chicken. Overall it wasn't a bad meal it was just mid & the waiting time was a little long. Which means they cook everything fresh. I recommend this place if you looking for something close to homemade.

Had a taste for someLemon pepper wings so stopped by to place my order and the young lady at the front was very pleasant as well as one of the guys from the back was going to use a coupon that I had through T Mobil and the young lady wasn't familiar with it as well as the young man so they called the owner and they had a cancellation with the company but it was still showing as if Mason's still participate so I spoke with the gentleman and he explained that they were no longer apart of it and offered me a couple of free drinks with my meal was very polite about the situation so I ordered my food and ordered the lemon pepper wings as well as the buffalo wings meal and the food was great the service was great will definitely visit again but over all the lemon pepper wings are far better than the buffalo oh and as always the place is always nice and clean

Went here to get some fried fish and shrimp. I got the the 48 piece fish nugget meal. It feeds a family of 5 and there's always enough for seconds. I used to go to the Cedar Hill location but I've moved so I went to the DeSoto location. The fish is well seasoned and delicious. I'm giving 4 stars because although there was no one at the restaurant when I pulled into the drive thru, I had to blow my horn AND THEN call because no one had come to the window. When they finally came To the window, I had to force them to show me that my food was ready since I'd given them 45 minutes instead of 20 to prepare my food. Poor kids need someone more mature or of age Supervising them. I could hear them playing the entire time while I waited up until I got my food. I'll be back because they have good food.

Masons sucks big time I personally don't recommend no one to eat here... I have ordered a few times in occasion but last time I ordered the "fish" or should I say breading cause there was no no fish only breaded skin of fish.Sucks

The young lady taking the orders doesn't have the best energy but she's not rude the serving portions for my grilled catfish platter was small i think they cut one fish into 3 pieces and charged me $11

The food was very fresh and a big portion. The meal I ordered included 2 catfish fillets, 3 shrimp, hush puppies and fries- I could not finish in one seating. The customer was nice- all orders are brought to your table. Theayout was fairly simple but it was very clean and tidy.I will be Back. The best part was the food was not overly seasoned and it was fresh which is a big deal to me.Chow.

The WORST customer service EVER!!!! I ordered my food and sat in the drive thru waiting for 30minutes. When I reached the window to pay they told me with a nonchalant attitude they didn't have my order but I could reorder and drive back around and wait on my food. I will NEVER come to this location again.

This place has soooooo much potential .. and i think they know it too cause the 2 young boys who help people just really dont care . They barely speak loud enough to hear and dont really listen your order. Dont try to stop at this place to eat in here cause its nasty .. the restroom are outside in the back of the building. However the food is great and great portions.

Good food and prices. They have things that are higher in price, but if you're on a budget, this is a great place to get food at very low prices.
