Run, don't walk, to Maria's Bakery, in Grapevine, Texas, off of William D Tate. My family and I are concha aficionados. Most pastries, and donuts have an aftertaste. It's usually oily, and you taste it, 5 seconds after you swallow your bite. These pastries have no aftertaste. They also have excellent bread and cookies. We have been to all of the panaderías in DFW. Maria's is the best. I will be getting all my cakes there, in the future. The proof is in the flavor. These are homemade, from scratch. Thank you.

Been here twice, and both times were a pleasant experience. The reason i was here twice, was due to the Mexican restaurant located in the same plaza. Glad i stopped here to pick up some dessert. I tried the pan dulce, savory meat pie, tres leche and the flan and the favorite item out of the three was the flan. very rich and flavorful. the people working there are extremely friendly. They'll help you decide which pastry you're in the mood for. Parking shouldn't be a problem. Its located in the same plaza as the gulf gas station.

Incredible selection of sweet Mexican breads, cookies, cakes, empanadas, and more. Everything is made in house as a true bakery should. I tried a sweet bread, banana bread, and chicken empanada. All were great and priced well although the banana bread was my favorite and I'm still thinking about the dense thick cut slice two weeks later, I highly recommend. The bakery is located in a small corner strip mall, but as long as you can walk across a parking lot, there is plenty of parking available.I'll be returning soon to try their cakes and cookies, holiday pounds here I come.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while (I'm a sucker for bakeries) and was finally in the area with time. I checked Yelp just before 730am and they're supposed to be open until 8p. I arrive and they're closed. It's the day after New Years, maybe they're closed an extra day so I tried to call to see but they don't even have vmail set up. No signs about being closed for holiday, no actual time open on their window display, and "we will return" sign says 7:15..... Poor/lack of communication is my gripe about someone trying to run a business. Won't try to come back again.

Finally! We are thrilled this has opened in our area. We found out that the owner makes their own pan dulce. We came for the first time today, was slow.Which was good for us because no need to wait in line. Limited selection when we came, 0730. That was due to the people that almost bought out the bread at 0600. The pan dulce was soft and yummy, a taste of home. Will be visiting again soon.

Love the food here. We have been wanting our traditional Hispanic treats and so glad to finally have a place close by. This family owned place is a hidden gem. They have a good selection to choose from and everything is made fresh. Worth a try! The bread desserts are our favorite.
