This restaurant is the best kept secret to share! While most places are PACKED on Saturday nights serving generic chain food, Mantra is never crowded which means it offers FIRST RATE SERVICE in an intimate atmosphere. The windows are tinted dark so don't think it's closed. It's like walking into a cultural haven where the aroma of spices and herbs envelop your senses, you can't wait to see the menu. There are TV/video screens all over with different scenes but the Nepalese music is charming and not loud enough to prevent conversation. Then there's the food!! Being freshly made upon order it doesn't come out fast. It comes out PERFECTLY cooked and HOT! Our chicken tandoori arrived SIZZLING. You won't find chicken legs of that size in any chain, they were perfectly cooked and JUICY. The pieces of white meat were tender and juicy as well, which is pretty much the opposite of white meat. The noodles upon which they sat were exquisitely seasoned, not like generic pasta at all. My favorite is always the Korma but I'm determined to try the wholeIt's truly wonderful to have this restaurant so close.

My fiance and I came on a Friday night with live music, the guys sang great! But a little too loud for a dinner, the waitresses were struggling to hear us and vice versa. We ordered fried momos and samosas and they were very flavorful and hot! However the entrees took a long wait to get. My fiance's chicken biryani was very good, but my chicken sekuwa was just not great. I expected a bit more for the price of the dish thinking it had some sides, or more chicken, but it was only a few pieces with a sauce. Although seasoning was good, some pieces tasted burnt rather than a char. Overall I would maybe come again for other dishes to try and maybe on a day where it's not as busy. I noticed there was too little staff for the amount of customers and tables.

I frequently visit this restaurant whenever I crave authentic Nepalese cuisine. We begin our meal with appetizers, and the selection was impressive. We tried the Timur Spiced Potatoes, which were superb. The dish was spicy, perfectly satisfying my craving. We also tried the Timur Chicken, another spicy dish that delivered a delightful kick. Additionally, we enjoyed the Zesty Wai Wai Toss, which was quite good, although the portion size was smaller than expected compared to other places.I have also tried their Chicken Momo and Chicken Jhol Momo, both of which were excellent. The accompanying sauce (achar) is particularly noteworthy. While there have been occasional issues with the momos filing not being perfectly intact, the flavor has consistently been delightful.Another staple for me is the chow mein. On my first visit, I tried the Buff Chow Mein, which was surprisingly flavorful and evoked the authentic taste of chow mein from Nepal. However, my subsequent experience with the Chicken Chow Mein was less satisfactory; it lacked chicken and was overcooked, resulting in a slightly burnt aftertaste. The Mutton Taas set is another dish I always try at Nepali restaurants. Initially, it tasted authentically delicious, but on a later visit, it was overcooked, dry, and difficult to chew. The Batmas Sadheko, which accompanied it, also lacked seasoning.I also had the Buff Sukuti, which was disappointing. The spices were not well-balanced, and the dish did not meet our expectations, making it our least favorite, despite it typically being a favorite staple. However, my other significant complaint, aside from consistency, is the limited dessert menu. While there are some options, they are often unavailable. I would appreciate a more elaborate dessert menu at a Nepali restaurant, perhaps including innovative offerings like Sel Roti and Kheer ice cream.Overall, my experiences have been mixed. I shared my concerns with the management, and the owner assured me they would have redone the food if it did not meet standards. This response was commendable and has encouraged me to return. Will definitely revisit the restaurant and the rating!

Stop what you are doing and cancel your dinner plans, go to Mantra and ask for Aaradhya and prepare to have your taste buds explode. Order Chicken Buffalo or vegetarian MOMO as an appetizer. Then order Chicken Biryani and enjoy the flavorful mix of Napalese spices that will blow your mind...I highly recommend this place... you are welcome!

Stopped in for lunch at this little hidden gem. The server was super sweet! And the food was absolutely delicious! The garlic naan was my absolute favorite naan I've ever had. The atmosphere was chill and inviting. I'm definitely coming back.

Lots of options for vegetarians. I love their vegetarian thali. Momos are good too. Reasonable prices, especially their biryanis. The staff is friendly. I prefer their outdoor seating during nice weather.

I'm just a lowly AA pilot down for training in Texas. If you're hungry, don't mind the missing white table cloth or fine Kava/champagne not being served, we'll hop on over to Mantra. it's a short walk from American Airlines campus and it's really good chow! I ordered the 4 choice entre for 14.95 and I'm embarrassed to say it was so much food I couldn't finish it. This is coming from an Irish catholic who has 9 brothers and sisters. In the past, I NEVER didn't finish my food. Well, in this case, the food was all wonderful as well as the Nan. My main course was lamb curry..spicey version. I polished off 95% of the food but then I hit the wall. This is a small place, in a strip mall, besides a gas station, with really good people working hard to make you feel welcome and full . Fellow AA employees, I hope you give it a try!I loved it! V/r Navydog1
