Momma Mia?? More like close-a Mia. Where to begin? I should've seen the writing on the wall as soon as we walked in. Cash or Zelle only. Oh well, I can Zelle. We sit at a table and ask for it to be wiped down. Order drinks, 2 waters a tea and a Diet Coke. We get 2 waters and 2 teas. I wish it got better from here, but it doesn't. We order an appetizer. A few minutes go by, and we order our main entree. We get our salads in a flash. Several minutes pass and we begin getting our entrees. They bring my wife and I"s plates and not the kids. Who does that??? If anything you feed the kids FIRST! But wait, there's more. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce, add mushrooms. Something crazy is put down in front of me, so several minutes go by, and the kids food finally comes out. My wife was halfway done with her entree at this point, and this is when I get the opportunity to address the mistake on my entree to the food runner, not our server because she's MIA. I tell him what I ordered. She comes back out and argues and says no you said pink sauce, not meat sauce. At this point the kids are done eating and so is my wife. I wouldn't be so hungry but our APPETIZER NEVER CAME! I take it upon myself to go grab a menu. I point out to her that I ordered it exactly how it appears on the menu, and nowhere on the menu is pink sauce. What the heck is pink sauce????? A few minutes later I get my food, and my whole family sits there and stares at me while I inhale my food, because they've been finished for a good 15 minutes. I've expressed my concern to the waiter and food runner, not once does a manager visit my table let alone make an appearance in the dining room. Absolutely worst service I've ever had in my life. Food was 3/10. Don't expect to come here and get blown away by the food. What you can expect is to get your order made wrong, and then argue with your server about you ordering something that ISNT ON THE MENU!!! Heck if I was going to do that I would've ordered veal, but I wouldn't have expected to get it.

I was craving Fettuccine Alfredo after a long day in the office. I called to place a pickup order and was greeted with pleasant service. It was quick and easy. The pasta was delicious. It also came 2 bread rolls and a house salad. It was very cream, and the chicken was full of flavor. Also it turns out they are a byob, so if you plan on eating in, don't forget to bring a bottle of your preferred alcoholic beverage.

Mamma Mia is good if you are looking for affordable and casual Italian food. The service is always excellent, and they get your food out quickly. They start you off with a free overflowing basket of fluffy rolls. Last time I visited, I got the chicken Marsala which comes with a salad. The portion size is so big and they didn't skimp on the mushrooms (a lot of Italian places skimp on the toppings). The food is super affordable, you cannot get Italian food this cheap anywhere else. The inside of the restaurant is kind of bare but has a slightly Italian theme, definitely not the most instagramable restaurant. Location is a quick drive from downtown Fort Worth. It's not in the nicest of areas but I haven't ever had any bad experiences around it.

I heard of this place through Instagram, We decided to give it a try! We ordered a peach tea which was very refreshing! They brought out these huge rolls with butter, they were delicious! I ordered a shrimp Diablo, it was really good and spicy! My sister ordered a shrimp scampi, it was also really good and had a zesty kick to it! My mom ordered the fettuccine Modo-mio, it was probably my favorite! It was very creamy and the ham gave it really good flavor! But our overall favorite was the lentil soup, it was so rich in flavor! Sally, our server was truly the sweetest! She was so polite and attentive, great customer service! We will be back!!

It's a beautiful location, I was there for a birthday party and it was a large party. So service was interesting. But they did the best they could. However, the food was tragic. Do not get the lentil soup, if you got a choice get the salad. That was fresh and delicious. I got the, eggplant Parmesana. The eggplant was done perfectly, and had a nice light egg batter, and was not oily or greasy. The pasta was al dente and pretty good, the sauce, however, needs help. Tasted very tiny like a can. Perhaps I should try something different.

I really hate to do this, but the place has definitely gone downhill over the last year. I work very close by so I started coming in, it was so good and the service was great. The last few times I've been it's taken forever! One waitress which I don't blame her, very nice doing the best she can, but it's definitely not as good and my lunch time is almost over by the time I get my food. Doubt I'll be back. If the food was good as it used to be, I would just get it to go but not worth it now.

Hidden little gem in the river east part of Fort Worth. Mamma Mia is my kind of hole in the wall Italian restaurant you find in the slums of a typical northeast town. Their pizza is really good. Traditional New York style pizza. Heavy on the cheese and sauce so get ready to have a napkin handy. (No complaints about that at all btw) Friendly wait staff and great lighting and layout. Drink options are limited but if you're looking for a great family dinner spot, go check out Mamma Mia's!

I have been coming to Mamma Mia's for over 10 years, and still love it. They have had some ups and downs, but it has never stopped my patronage. I used to work just down the street, and ordered almost daily. I live further away, but still make the trip a few times a month. The "Tony's Salad" is my go-to, perfect balance of everything I love. They usually have chef specials that are incredible, and the bread is outstanding. It is not "over the top Italian" with grape decorations and Dean Martin crooning from the speakers. The atmosphere and decor are casual and relaxed, but can also be kind of romantic on a Saturday night sans your kids... it's all in what you make of it. The staff is friendly and efficient, making it feel like home and not stuffy. Sally is my favorite waitress of all time. This place is a hidden gem.

So we like this place. It's a bit quirky inside but the food tastes great. Portions are outrageously large and am addicted to the rolls. It's byob for wine which is always fun. Very casual and perfect for large families with kids.
