Mama Gina's is a tiny soulfood restaurant on East Side. The food is EXCELLENT! Red beans and Rice, Mac & Cheese, Collards, all of it #Chef'sKiss. The shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had, seriously. The owner, Mama Gina, I super friendly and welcoming. There is limited seating, and they make everything to order, so there's also a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. We will definitely be back!

Great hospitable, service. Everything is made to order, something that I appreciate. So yes, it takes time (for you impatient people), but it's worth the wait. Got to meet Mama Gina herself. I love what she does for the community: feeding the hungry and providing kids with free books.

Right when I walked in this place, I felt so welcomed and like it was home! Mama Gina gave me a hug like we knew each other since who knows when. She's such a sweet owner! I ordered a smoked chicken pasta sandwhich and chicken dumpling soup. She gave me a sample of the smoked chicken pasta, and it was delicious! There are plenty of seating areas, so come on by and check out this sweet owner and her homemade food!

This has become my favorite casual dining restaurant. The food is great and the staff are so friendly.Mama Gina makes everyone feel like family.My favorite lunch is the meatloaf with sides of collard greens and dirty rice. The smothered chicken is a close second. The breakfast wrap is amazing g--my wife orders it for lunch. And on Saturdays, Mama Gina makes sweet potato pancakes that are to die for!It isn't Saturday but you have a hankering for a sweet potato baked good? Try the sweet potato pound cake or the peach cobbler (with a sweet potato crust).I always eat the food so fast that I forget to take pictures. It always looks great and tastes even

My friend Lu discovered this little restaurant and after she told me about it I insisted we had to go that day lol ... glad I insisted on it !! We were greeted with a smile and a hug from Mama Gina !! That was the one and only time I have been hugged by the restaurant owner/ manager !! I have to say it was a treat to be greeted like that ! Then it got better as the food came out freshly cooked and everything was made to perfection!! We highly enjoyed our meal and I recommend you go try this place out ASAP!! I will be back again and again until I've tried everything on the menu!

Food is amazing and the owner and employees are even more amazing! Peach cobbler to die for!

This is a wonderful comfort food/home cooking restaurant. All ingredients are fresh and cooked to order. Every bite is amazingly delicious. I Learned about the restaurant opening about a year ago but when I looked it up on Yelp, it appeared to be only catering. Not so! The restaurant is open Monday Through Friday from 8 to 6 and Saturday from 8 to 5 I believe. When we walked in we were greeted by Mama Gina and she really treated us like family. The shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had. I brought dessert home and haven't tried that yet but I'm excited to.

First time trying mama Gina's. We had two meals to go, and me and my husband loved it. The mango tea is also really good. Greta service. Great food. Will come back again.
