Maggie's R&R

First time here, but have driven by many times and this place is always packed (hang out). We came for lunch-- less busy. Patio bar style-- today the weather was amazing to sit on their patio. They have live music on the weekend (evenings). Happy hour is 11-6 M-F. Well drinks are only $4 (had a really good gin and tonic). Husband had the hibiscus margarita, that was excellent. The waitress said we could split the brisket grilled cheese, but we ordered independent sandwiches. Brisket grilled cheese is served on Texas toast-- it truly was big enough, we could've split it. Ordered the BBQ sauce on the side -- glad I did to avoid making the sandwich mushy or overly saucy. My husband had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with extra sauce on the side, which was very good. The crust on the chicken was spot on. Fries are crisp and great with a side of ranch. We plan to return for live music one day.

Came across Maggie's R&R as we were in the area exploring. The patio view from the street of folks hanging out in the sun, eating, and drinking was just super inviting so we stopped in right before a TCU home game. Despite it being a home game service was fast, food was hot, and folks were hanging out enjoying the musician who played covers on an acoustic guitar. There are plenty of tv's inside and outside for you to watch any sports or non-sports things. The drink and good menu is super extensive too so we asked our waitress what she suggested we have. We got the cheese fries, a half order, and it was plenty to feed over 3+ people. Heads up I noticed the restrooms are individual rooms so you might have to wait a bit especially if it is a game day. I am not sure if there are more on the other side of the stage but just a heads up. You should come here with a large group of friends or company because they have the space to accommodate you and will satisfy everyone's food and drink needs.

Maggie's was the first meal I had when I got to Texas a few days ago for the Leon Bridge's concert. I was starving and eager to try something new to me. The woman working was warm, helpful, friendly, and patient. She helped me pick the lime chicken dish and it was delicious! The vibe at this place checks out and their menu is robust so I went back last night. They had live music and overall this seems like a good place to have a chill evening. Coming from Mexico City, I had mistakenly not packed for the cold evenings here as I was not expecting them. The hostess placed me by a heater nonetheless even though I was alone and the table was for four. I had the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and it was so good it should be outlawed because how can I leave knowing this exists here and not where I live

Perfect stop for drinks, live music, and late-night eats!Ambiance & Service: Spacious outdoor patio with plenty of seating and great live music. Our server was friendly and attentive! Last food call on Thursdays is 10:15 PM.Food: The grilled cheese was delicious, with caramelized onions and chipotle aioli elevating it. Loved the cheese variety! However, the fries were WAY too salty. I could barely eat them based on how salty they were! TL;DR: Great vibe, tasty grilled cheese, but the fries were overly salty.

Met a friend here for brunch and enjoyed the experience. We were quickly seated and Allie was our server. We ordered chicken and French toast and the breakfast burger for our meals. For beverages, blueberry lemonade and sunny day were ordered. I loved the blueberry lemonade but my friend wasn't too keen on the sunny day. I'd definitely return to try something from the lunch menu such as the shrimp and sirloin skewers . I'd highly recommend giving them a try especially for brunch.

Maggie's is an outdoor patio restaurant (limited indoor seating) restaurant and music venue. I've been driving by for years and they're always packed, rain, snow, ice, above 100, below freezing, it doesn't matter, they're always full. So I wondered why always so busy, so I went and tried it and Wow! The food was amazing, the prices were very reasonable, and they have Happy Hour drink specials. I should have tried them sooner, I'll definitely be back!

I was in the area and decided to stop by after reading such great reviews on Yelp. It's late on Friday and they're open until midnight so it was perfect! I only wanted to eat but everyone had tables full of drinks. That's a great sign of either moderately priced or the bartender is dope...or maybe both. Lol I knew I wanted a sandwich and decided to give the salmon BLAT a try. It came out quick and paired with seasoned fries. The bread was toasted and soft to the touch. The avocados and fixings were just the right amount. Nothing was overly done. It was really a good burger. And although I lucked upon this place I will be back. The waitress shared that Wednesday nights are $9 burgers! Oh yeah!!!

We have never been to this place si when it popped up when I did a quick search for patios I knew we had to try it because we love the Magnolia St vibe.The hostess stand was under the awning and we came in from the street but one of the wait staff was kind enough to help us. Although it was hot we were seating near one of the many fans in the shade.The menu is easy to read with lots of options and although it was not recommended (our waitress does not like cauliflower) we will be returning to try the buffalo cauliflower.The nachos are large but quit refreshing in the heat and tye fried pickles were excellent.I loved the Ginifer Aniston and hubs enjoyed the cider which had a summery purple hue.Not long after arriving a musician began to play which was very nice.Service was great. We are adding to our list as it seemed to appeal to all age groups.

Their price points are 5 stars alone! I got a full chicken salad for $12... where else do they do that at? My chicken salad was delicious and fresh! Service was very attentive and helpful. Now... the fact that it is an outside only venue is rough for these Texas summer days lol. BUT a nice 70/80 degree day is perfect! I will be back to try their Happy Hour and cocktails

I'm so upset with the service I got last night. we sat at our table for about 15 minutes before someone ever came to greet us. Her reasoning was she didn't see us, which is wild cause we were sitting in her direct view & she walked past us many times. I work in the food industry, I get being busy, but to "not see us" where we were sitting...I will absolutely come back, the food is amazing... but maybe check in with your servers on better customer service.. on a side note.. the nachos I got were to die for!
