Lushajs Pizza Pasta New York Style

Been going to Lushajs for years off and on. Sometimes will go regularly for a few months, then take a few off.Pretty much love the pizza, gotten whole ones, but usually just go in for lunch and grab a couple slices. You can usually get slices late into the afternoon, if not later. Still tastes pretty durn good even if they've been sitting around since lunch. Right now I think it's about $3.50 a slice for pepperoni and $6 gets you two slices with a soda or bottle water. Helluva deal.Never had a bad pizza from here. Thin crust, light sauce, not skimpy on the toppings. Would like to try out some of their pasta and other dishes but this is usually a stop between work locations, run in, grab a few slices and eat them on the run.Nice inside, older, but always clean. Service is always fast and friendly.

The place was nice and mildly cleanThe server was great and very kind foods also very nice however when I tried to order the spaghetti and meatballs as small portion they said the only had one large adult portion.

I am not sure why this place only has a 3.5 rating. I thought the food was delicious. Everything came out quickly and piping hot! For starters, the free garlic bread was flavorful, soft-center, and crispy outer. The pizza was thin but crunchy on the bottom (my favorite). Pizza was not greasy but super yum. The spaghetti was a large portion, and the sauce coated the spaghetti perfectly. The place is small but cute and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back and try something new .

After driving by this place for a couple decades, we finally decided to stop and give it a try on a Sunday evening for dinner. We didn't see a menu or anything but walked up to the counter at the back, were quickly greeted and given a menu when asked. So many good looking options! We got an XL pizza so we'd have leftovers and the stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms were good but a little heavy on the lemon flavor for my personal preference. (But we had no problem finishing them!) The pizza was MASSIVE and very good. The crust is thin, tomato sauce slightly on the sweet side but everything tasted fresh. It's BYOB. Friendly service. Appears clean. Lots of tables for seating. They were doing a lot of delivery and take out orders while we were there. Certainly a good place to check out!

I dropped by to try the Stuffed pizza. Something i've never heard of before. I had one Slice of Spinach and one slice of the meat lovers. The Meat Lovers topped with jalapeño was really good I definitely recommend. Also had a slice of cheese Pizza topped with Jalapeño. Great experience very Flavorful

I go there lot. I always had a very good experience. But last night it was not good. First thing, they will take cash only as their machine was not working. We were going to dine in. We made our self comfortable. Apparently they were short on staff. I picked up my water. She brings pizza in a box to table, I said, we are dining in. She said OK. I asked for plates and silverware. She literally said eat from box only. I was speechless. My husband said, no bring me plates and silverware. She did not come once to ask for refill. Pizza was good. But service was not good at all. I feel like ownership has changed.

Came back for lunch to see if anything had changed. Service was way better lol. The ladies that helped us were very nice and attentive. Food was good. My Lushaj's spaghetti special was quite large and filling. The abundance of meat was nice. The calamari was a little too bread-y for us. Lesson learned. Lol. Pizza was great. Sauce was good and pepperoni coverage was great!

I love the friendly atmosphere and the size of the building is just right. I ordered the pizza to go, and it was huge! The slices are cut wide as it should be and the flavors worked well together. The important part is that you can eat it cold and flavor is still hitting. It's around the corner from me so it's a win! Recommend.

Love it here. Good food though their appetizers aren't great. The thing I don't get is why they're SO STINGY with their marinara. I ordered a calzone (so good!) but this is all I got for the dipping. why?????

Ok , I know good pizza , especially New York style pizza & similar food items. I came here on the recommendation of a local businessman. The pizza dough is horrible, hard to describe the weird texture, the sauce has no Italian spices, the cheese was a mixture of real and artificial cheese. A real pizza guy ( had a family pizza cafe for 15+ years) knows what the fake cheese looks like after it's been cooked. The bottom of the pizza crust was white and tastes less. The final insult was the 3% sure charge on my $41 bill. There is no sign stating the surcharge!Overall it's hard to believe this Family Owned Pizza cafe has been here 20+ years.Obviously I will never come back! A frozen pizza from Kroger would have been better.
