Since moving to the neighborhood I've passed my Lucky's so many times and made a note to stop in. So while out for a walk, my partner and I decided to check out it. We arrived around 12:30 and there were a few groups waiting. We put our name on the list and were called about 15 mins later. It's a cool, neighborhood diner with eclectic led lights and tidbits of patronage and community and throughout. The lady who greeted us was nice and lead us to a booth where our waiter; a friendly, upbeat older gentleman with a cool gray mustache. He offered us water, coffee and mimosas while we looked over the menu. My partner ordered coffee and of course a carafe of mimosa for me (well us lol). You also get a complimentary basket of assorted bread while you wait. We both ordered traditional breakfasts: mine with bacon and potatoes. Hers with patty sausage and cheese grits. Both were plentiful and cooked well. All in all, a great cozy experience at Lucky's and well definitely stop in again!

I've only been here twice now. A daughter once lived nearby and coming here was her Christmas Eve tradition. We went with her again last night. It's cafe food done well. I got the chicken fried steak with mashed (I've already forgotten what they call them) potatoes and Brussels sprouts. It was amazing. The steak was fork tender (I still used my knife). The server wasn't overly attentive, but the food made up for it. I initially thought my steak option was a little small, but I was stuffed as I took the last bite, so it was perfect. This may be our new tradition as well.

If you are looking for some good ol comfort food, Lucky's Cafe is just the place. They serve breakfast all day too!Today I had the special, which was chicken fried steak with two sides. Not only was the chicken fried steak good, but the fried okra and creamed corn was too. Before my meal was ready, my waitress brought biscuits and cornbread to the table.Bonus points (stars) for having honey on the table for the hot biscuits!!Decorated to resemble an old cafe, it will have you feeling like you have stepped back in time.Lucky's Cafe is a go to place in Dallas.Go get Full

Needed comfort food for Tiki Hubby after a little procedure. Lucky"s chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and creamed corn was just what the Dr ordered. The crust was crispy and seasoned just right. Every bite was better than the one before. Jon our server was the best great person and service.

We were recommended this place, so we had to try it out! Love that it's farm-to-table and they use local components and companies for their eggs, breads, etc. I ordered the egg white omelette, which was a bit spicy (but I didn't mind it), oatmeal (which was good), and the multigrain toast (which was also good). My partner had the sweet potato hash with sourdough toast and he said it was a good, healthy dish. We also drank coffee. For our meal it cost $40 ($50 with $10 tip.) It was nice to check out a local establishment for breakfast!

This was our first time here after searching the non-ending list of brunch places in the area. There was a slight wait, but we were quickly seated. The service was tremendously efficient but friendly with a welcoming touch. It was the classic diner with wholesome nostalgia. The food was above average, but the highlight was the side of pancakes we got! It was soft/fluffy/hearty. The cininamon butter put it over the edge!

We came here for breakfast and it's the cutest little homey restaurant! Our server James was very attentive. When he realized he brought bacon instead of sausage, he immediately brought out a side in sausage in less than 30 seconds. When I didn't eat much of my salad, he brought out a side of potatoes without me asking! We also didn't even have to ask him to split the check in 4 he just automatically did which was great. He also got my friend a coffee to go and didn't charge for these simple favors. Fast service for how busy they were and yummy food. Thank you James!

I have had good and so-so here, however, I just ordered the Pot Roast with a side of Whipped Potatoes via Uber Eats...it is delicious! And...piping HOT! Flavorful, moist and absolutely fantastic! The chef/cooks provided enough gravy to soak the toasted bread in to sop up all of the flavor. Enough for 3 meals for me.First time having this dish and now it is my FAV! Give it a whirl!

Had much with a group of 4. Chicken fried steak, chicken sandwich, and fish and chips. No fishy smells here! Everyone said their meal was great. Wait staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Make sure to get the cornbread before your meal - it's amazing! Parking can be hard to find at times. They do have parking in the back.

Stopped by for breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. All the food came tepid with the potatoes and sausage clearly prepared far in advance. The hash browns were dried out and tough while the sausage patties were tasteless hard hockey pucks. Luckys has always been a go to place for me. Sadly it is no longer.
