Los Primos Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

The food is really good but the service is awful, maybe even one of the worst I've been to ever. The guy they have is awesome but the girls are terrible. If you get any of the female waitresses, just expect them to only come by to take your drinks, food order and bill. They will not come any more than 3 times at most all about 15-30 minutes apart from each other. Also, be aware that they did change their menus and at the very back under beverages you'll see that they charge for to go drinks. I know, who charges for to go drinks? Well anyways for the many times I've been here, I've never been charged an extra $8 for two to go drinks until today. After seeing that on my receipt, I kindly went to the front desk and requested that the $8 is taken off since I had not even poked my straw through the drink yet and stated that if it was too much trouble, I'll gladly just pay it. The lady at the front then called over what I'm assuming is the manager and started speaking in Spanish about the situation. Without saying a word to me, they just all silently walked away and took the money off the ticket and proceeded to talk behind me how it's on the menu and I should've seen it. Like I've said, I have been there multiple times and have never been charged for a to go drink until now and it's at the very bottom of the last page on their giant menu. It's very easy to miss and I tried to be very polite about the whole thing but was treated very rudely. The waitress even came up and before I could say anything stated that "it's on the menu!" Which I never accused them of not putting it on the menu, I just wish they would've clarified that it was going to cost me additional money when I'm used to it being free. The waitress only came by 3 times, once to get drinks, then food, then to give us our bill. She never refilled the drink I already paid $4 for not even once and then charges me another $4 for a to go drink (yes they charge you another full price order for a to go drink now) and then treats me with hostility because I didn't read the little tag at the bottom of the back of their menu. They then take our to go drinks and asked if we wanted the smaller free to go drinks which we said yes to and sat there for another 15 minutes and they never brought it. Just another money hungry restaurant...

Man I don't know what ya happened to Los primos #2 but the last several times the food is awful along with their salsa . I had sent them a message last time about our food being cold ( and no I never send food back ) but I did tell them after I got home . Hell we didn't even eat our food and they said oh we will make changes blah blah blah but apparently they didn't. I guess we will take a break from this place for a while and see if they really are serious about making changes for the better . So please step it up los primos #2 as we love having our date night there .

Some friends met the hubs and I at this restaurant yesterday. We shared a half order of shredded chicken nachos. We weren't hungry enough to order two entrees. The nachos were very good (I forgot to take a pic of the them....oops). The restaurant was comfortable and clean and our service was very good even though our table had a lot of ppl at it. If we're ever in Glen Rose Texas again, we'll be back.

Awful ..... a friend of ours recommended mama Mia but we (unfortunately ) didn't take advice ...BIG MISTAKE ! Waiter inattentive , out of butter , brought something I didn't order and it was awful .... Then claimed customers loved this awful thing. Luckily I ordered frozen margarita before meal because I sent my food back and my husband took me to Chicken express afterwards . NEVER going back

I'm hoping this 1 catches the owner's attention. I can't stand to see a manager treat his staff like dirt. Talking down to your workers in front of a customer is just horrible. Now for the food. I've been in the industry for 10 years and it's easy to spot a plate that's been sitting in the heat lamp for over 15 minutes. Nobody likes to eat warm brown guacamole. Nobody wants melted sour cream, dry rice and beans, melted shredded cheese, fry chicken, crust build up around sauces. Our server probably brought this over priced disgusting food to our table because she didn't want to get screamed at by the man again for reorders. We waited over an our to get our Guacamole appetizer with our meal because she was overwhelmed with table's because of a scheduling error on managements behalf I'm sure. Do not come here and waste any of your money. You will have a bad experience. I did like the decorations though.

So I was in town for a Sunday night and my cousin who lives in town recommended this place. It's not very good looking from the front, but once you walk in it's got a certain ambience to it. And boy is it popular! We went at 4:30 and the place was pretty filled. Our waiter was extremely sweet and friendly. Maybe because I live in the Metro Austin area I'm used to things being more expensive, but the prices seemed really reasonable. My cousin warned that sometimes it was a little slow there, and I think she was right. But it was worth the wait. I ordered a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce and a beef street taco. Both were absolutely delicious. The the beans and rice that came with the enchilada were some of the best I've ever had. When I am back in town, I will definitely be back.

Ordered the fajita nachos and they came out with the cheese barely melted on top and there was unmelted cheese under that. The refried beans were luke warm as well. There are much better Mexican food options in Glen Rose than here. I would avoid until they decide to improve their food standards.

I came with a school so I do understand the 2 hour wait. However for the long wait we had, you would expect the food to be good quality. Everyone in my group was unhappy with their food. The server was kind but the service itself was slow.

Our waitress was sweet which is the one star. The food was fine, nothing I'd come back for, but good enough for the price. As we were finishing up a small cockroach starting crawling out of our mostly eaten chip basket. The lady that originally sat us' solution was to bring us another basket of chips without a word. We got up and left.
