Los Guapos

I was going to this place back when it was called Guapo taco and was inside a gas stationthis is probably the best birria in the entire Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is the real deal folks.

There was so much hype with this restaurant but we were sorely disappointed. My Mexican boyfriend and I get tacos every Friday from Hemphill st despite living in the W7th area so we were excited an "authentic" place was opening nearby. Maybe they would solve the issue of us having to drive 20 minutes for good tacos. We were very very disappointed though and will never be returning. While the people inside were nice and it would give off the vibe of being authentic, the food was poorly prepared and seasoned. The rice was very bland and dry, the beans tasted like canned beans and all of our food was just lackluster. We got the ten taco sampler between the two of us cause we like to eat! The steak was super salty nothing like carne asada or anything resembling Mexican flavor just bland steak with lots and lots of salt. The barbacoa had a very mushy displeasing texture, but the tripa was okay. We got the shrimp cocktail and it was very warm which was concerning considering traditionally it should be cold. We were so sketched we didn't' eat it but no loss since they gave us no chips or anything to eat it with anyways. This was a big waste of money as they are not particularly cheap and we ate a couple tacos and thew it all away.

YUMMY! This place is so delicious and responsibly priced. It's open pretty late and has a nice patio for people to sit. You order your food, take a number, and they deliver it to you.I've been here twice and was only disappointed in the margarita. Probably not the place to get a drink, but the tacos and gorditas are good. I can't wait for it to get a little colder so that I can try the birria ramen.And of course, they have green and red salsa. Green is the spicier one and it was so delicious.I wish that the parking was better distinguished. The back parking lot seems like it's only for the bars but not for this spot. I'll definitely be back!

When looking for a tasty and filling lunch option, Los Guapos fit the bill. They are located right beside velvet taco, a bold choice since velvet taco is always busy and offers consistently good food. I was interested in trying this new restaurant in town and decided to stop by. There was virtually no one dining inside, and it took a minute for someone to take our order. I decided on the Al paste quesadilla and added fries. My sister tried a few of their tacos. I really liked my meal, and the fries are definitely enough to share. If I were to try them again, I would probably still take it to-go, but there is seating available inside. I wish this new business the best of luck!

Came in here late night maybe an hour before they closed and the staff was incredibly polite and the food was so fresh!! The restaurant was quiet and clean. Food was amazing!!

The food was so flavorful and good. We ordered a variety of items and tasted them all. We liked everything that we ordered. I also ordered a pozole to take home. It was the red pork one. It was amazing too. The chef was very friendly and the staff were nice too. We will definitely be back.

As a Mexican food taste tester of over 30 years I can say the food is great and flavor is authentic. The staff is quick and attentive which is a huge plus. They also serve huge portions for breakfast and have great vibes at night. Overall great experience every visit.
