This is a great fast food spot to get great fried chicken, and they even have catfish and a few other things...their all over Fort Worth and Arlington area wish they would come out further west to Weatherford.

So. Here's the deal. Lisa's chicken is a franchise thing here in Fort Worth, Texas. It's inexpensive chicken served mostly through small independent convenience stores. It's cheap and that is the biggest draw. Is it the best. No. It's very comparable to church's chicken, another Texas staple. The food was hot and orders are filled quickly. Price wise they are very competitive.

When I think of fried chicken, the only question I ask myself is which Lisa's Chicken location do I want to go to. The one on Broadway has my favorite family meal special. The one on NE 28th St has unique items such as spaghetti, gumbo, and fried rice. Yes, I'm saying each location's menu is slightly different. This location is the closest to my home and lately has been the one I frequent most often. It is located inside a gas station that has a banquet hall in the same shopping strip. Something to keep in mind if you're coming here on the weekends. Lisa's offers great fried chicken at unbeatable prices. They also have plethora of fried goodness. Some of my favorites include corn nuggets, pizza pockets, and jalapeño corn dogs. They also have crinkle fries which are my favorite. I've always only gone through the drive-thru so I cannot speak for the inside. There's two windows in the drive thru so that helps with the flow. The staff is generally friendly though sometimes short but never rude. Their food is good and again, the prices are awesome. Seriously love Lisa's!

They will mess up your order so that you call and complain and have to order again to get your missing item on another day. This is the Lisa's chicken way of operating a business. The worst is when they tell you to pull up and wait after paying them. You want to get out of the parking lot...you get home...something you paid for is missing. Everytime. That's how they are. It's highly likely that you've seen at least one of the many Lisa's Fried Chickens around the DFW metroplex and it's safe to say they all deliever the same deals with similar qualities in their foods. This location in particular is close to my boyfriends so we gravitate towards it. It's also an added bonus that it doubles as a gas station that has cheaper drinks than the QT down the road. Typically we get the larger order of tenders for when we have more people over and it comes with a large gravy. Now the chicken is always tasty but the gravy the last couple of times has been.... really really bland and VERY watery. It's very sad really. I don't think I would really call that gravy... it's the main downside of coming here really. I don't know about the other locations but I really hope they have better gravy.

Shrimp about the size of sliver dollar and catfish out of this world. But combos r reasonably price too, also the fryer orka is good too. The chicken tenders I've had better. Can't understand why they don't offer collargreens and corn bread with type of cooking.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I periodically stop here for gas on the way home from work (alternate route when 35 is a mess) and whenever I go in to pre-pay, the sight of the piles of fried chicken and the SMELL of the place kill me every time. I figured one day I had to give it a go.I took home a 10-piece family meal (dark meat) with two large sides (mashed potatoes and white gravy and corn on the cob, 3 pieces) and 5 rolls, and a 2-piece fish dinner with two regular sides (okra and green beans) and a roll.The negatives: the green beans were just buttered canned green beans. I only ate a few before pushing them aside. Not worth it. The okra was the worst, though - tasted okay and was surprisingly un-greasy, but the texture was horrible, rubbery, even after crisping in my oven for a few minutes. I think they gave me the tail end of an old afternoon batch. Not happy about that.The positives: the mashed potatoes, white gravy, and corn were some buttery, salty goodness. Fish had nice flavor in the batter, but the meat itself was skimpy and thin. Chicken was great and the only reason I would really come back. It is seasoned, battered, and cooked near perfectly.Service was really friendly. Food was quick. And you can't beat the price: dinner plus lunch leftovers for two people for $19. A convenient stop when I am craving the fried stuff.

Took them 24 minutes for just a 3 piece order. They kept serving the drive-tru and putting my order to the side. When I complained they then didn't have fries ready, and the olace wasn't even full, just like 3 customers total. And to make it worst, they forgot to give me the soda that was included in my order. Bunch of kids, no manager on site for me to complain, and they didn't want to give me a discount or refund.

I so wanted to love this place. In Texas, the best restaurants are in the gas stations. I got the #1 combo with okra and mashed potatoes and roll. The roll was store bought, the potatoes fake (yes, just like kFC) and the okra was so over fried and inedible. The chicken was ok, not great. The best part of my meal was the Dr. Pepper and the trash can.
