I have been wanting to try this place but every weekend the line is wrapped around the building. I finally had time to stop by during the week, I called to place order (not accepting customer walk ins) while I was outside and the lady who answered has amazing customer service..I did not know the names of the pan dulces so I asked for a dozen assortment ($12.99) and she brought it out in 5 mins. So far everything is tasting amazing!

Great pastries and bread! (My favorite ) Carb addiction.. bread was warm and straight out the oven. I bought enough for the weekend because I traveled 30 minutes for it!

Please read till the end: If I want "meh" tasting Mexican bread I rather go to La Michoacana o El Rancho where I can also do my grocery shopping. The bread in La Tapatía is not good for my taste. I'm from Mexico and since we have excellent panaderías there, maybe I'm being too exigent with this one. The best panadería I've tried in the DFW area is in Irving and it's called El Sol, I drive over there when I'm craving great tasting bread.But in defense of La Tapatia: they have menudo and barbacoa on the weekends and that IS the best menudo and barbacoa I've had in DFW, very lean, good quality meat and great tasting. As of for the service: I agree that they are sometimes rude but since the transaction is done quickly, I don't have a prob handling on some rudeness.

I come here occasionally only because the bread tastes great. Every time I've come, they usually are quick about helping you out but the only part I don't appreciate is that every time I go to pay, no matter who it is, they always pull out their cell phone as I'm paying and don't even say "goodbye thank you for your business" or whatever because they are so busy being rude on their phone and don't address the customer. In conclusion, the bread is delicious but they need stop getting on their phones while dealing with customers.

The best authentic fresh bread you will ever have ! Must try ! The barbacoa on the weekend will definitely have you satisfied !!!!

I've been coming to this bakery over 3 decades and the bread is amazing. When I go visit family or friends gathering I always take 200 of the bollios hahahah now everyone is hooked on them and always calling me for the address I love this place and they are always in my prayers the whole family are amazing, caring and loving thank you family.

Still working it! It's always great! Today is my anniversary. As always I had to have my pumpkin empanada and other yummy items. Must try! If you haven't your missing out.

I've been going to the Tapatia since a little girl. When it was on belt lone the employees there were super friendly and it made you want to walk in the store. Now the new location the employees are all rude. I hesitate to go but only because I love the bread I go. Overall this is the best bread I've ever had. It's just so Delicious. I know people that drive over 40 minutes for it. I recommend this bread bakery to everyone I know. The service is fast and I wish you could get prices on the bread but you just get the grand total.
