I love this restaurant! They serve the most perfect fettuccine alfredo, and the best Caesar salad with anchovies that I have ever eaten in my life! The atmosphere is romantic and it's not The staff is very friendly. OVERALL EXPERIENCE"Never going back to Olive Garden." - My Husband. Detailed review below.OUTDOORS 9/10Retail space parking lot. Pretty clean and easy to park. INDOORS 7/10I am a huge first look/smell impression person. It was a pretty clean environment. I didn't really get the best smell when I walked in. The smell gradually got better as we were seated. The lights were dimmed, and there were candles on every table.WAITING TIME 10/10It took us less than 2 minutes to be seated. The staff were very friendly and professional. ORDERFettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp 10/10It was the perfect serving size. The consistency was creamy and didn't leave a bad aftertaste. The shrimp was thick and seasoned perfectly. The pasta itself was cooked to perfection. Lasagna Bolognese 9/10The seasoning was good. If anything it was a little too "basily". I wish it would have had more pasta. I had too much meat leftover. Overall, very TASTY. Calamari 7/10Texture was good but the seasoning was a bit bland. I would had shredded mozzarella to it and a bit more salt. Cheesecake 10/10DELICIOUS. The consistency was perfect and the taste wasn't too sweet. SERVICEOur waitress was sweet. She was visible and tended to us in a timely manner.We will definitely come again!

We have been to La Gondola twice now. The first time food and service were both 5 star and could have not asked for any better.The second time was another story though. The food was still top notch but the service was severely lacking. The thing that bugged me the most was a $3 up charge. We asked the server and she said that it was for the French Onion soup. (soup or salad are included with the meal according to the menu) At this point I was a little miffed and told her that she should have informed us about the charge. She said "I guess I forgot" so I said "well I guess I'll forget that part of the tip then". She just waked away.It was my birthday dinner and kind of brought down the mood. Since we live quite a ways away I'm not sure if we will be back or not.To anyone wanting to eat there just know that they like to upcharge without letting you know but the food is very very good.

We had reservations for Valentine day. We walked in and they sat us right away. I was presented with a long-stem rose. Susie was our waitress and she was amazing! She was so friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing and the bread was to die for!! We will be back to eat in the near future!

Great service and wonderful food. Rare find off the beaten path when traveling outside normal area.

Second time here not happy with my second visit the first visit was very good. I will say the food was good both times .Service was not great a little slow the second time. I had to get up and get our own water refills. I saw another table do the same thing.The part that made me mad was the up charge for the soup we were not told it was extra $3. The menu says the soup came with the meal. When I asked her why the upcharge she says I forgot to tell you french onion soups extra. That irritated me. I have seen some other reviews that also said they do extra charges so if you go there be careful and look over your receipt.

First & last visit here.To start off me, my husband & daughter walked in at 745, we were sat immediately, even with the hesitation that we did not have reservations.Waited over 10 minutes for server to come so we could order. Order was in by 8pm, at this point the restaurant was over half empty and all but the 2 tables sat after us had their food. A table of 6 was sat after us and had their food before ours. At 845 the server stopped by to say our food would be out shortly, to which I asked if they were making fresh pasta back there and he chuckled and said no. I then didn't see him again until our food came out. And then didn't see him again until we were done and asked if we wanted desert. On this Friday night it was very, actually extremely loud. There was a guy playing live music, I personally saw 3 different instruments. It would have been amazing if the volume was about half of what it was. My husband couldn't hear my 9 year old across the table. The croud was ALL older. Easily 55+. And so were all the other servers I saw except ours.For fettuccine chicken Alfredo it was over $23 bucks. The Alfredo sauce was veery liquidy. I had to completely turn over my entire bowl just to get sauce on each bite. Extremely minimal chicken, maybe 5 strips... for $4 !?! I hate to say it.. Olive garden is cheaper and tastes so much better! My husband got the zucchini soup and I nearly spit my half out.. there was o taste of any vegetable, but pure cream. I was actually to sweet to be a soup, creamy, absolutely, but flavorless.My daughter had the kids cheese ravioli... and it came with T H R E E ravioli. No sides, no desert, just 3 ravioli for $8 dollars ! I was speechless... she had to eat some of mine to get full.The nail in the coffin was when I was upcharged for 2 items and NOT told about it ahead of time when ordering. If there will be an additional charge of ANY amount, EVERY single business needs to let the customer know ahead of time, so they can decide if they would like to order something else.They have 3 stars for a reason. I should have trusted my gut and not come here.

Great spot for Italian food in Mansfield. Everything I've tried has been very tasty! I love the mushroom soup, ceasar salad, and cheese bread as starters. I'm normally not a big fan of mushrooms, but that soup is fantastic, and I always look for it when I come here. The lasagna is very good and the meat inside it is very flavorful. The chicken parm is a great option too. Definitely listen to the specials though. The lobster ravioli and the salmon topped with shrimp were both delicious! Service is friendly it it has a great date night atmosphere. Definitely a good spot to try.

This is one of my favorite places in Mansfield. Great service and consistently good food! Love the live music on the weekends. It gets crowded pretty quick so make sure you make a resy or get there early!

Made a reservation for my son's birthday 24 hours ahead of time. Given the absolute worst table. Literally steps at the exit of the kitchen. I did ask to be moved. But they started to move us. Then we waited an 20 minutes prior to any wait staff approach the table and an hour for our food. Food was decent but for the money there is much better service elsewhere wait staff was loud and kept sticking plates in my face. Horrible experience
