Kirby's Steakhouse

We've been dining at Kirby's for longer than I care to remember. It's always excellent. We love the Ribeye and the Sea Bass most of all but don't sleep on their happy hour specials. The staff are amazing and they always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The restaurant is very nice inside. I do wish they'd bring back the pre-Covid live music but that's my only complaint and I understand why that's hard.

Our last Kirby's visit was a 5-Star experience form our steaks meticulously cooked to order and my apple martini served with gin rather than vodka and "shaken, not stirred." The service was impeccable as was the atmosphere and ambiance. And for that, we return on a regular basis.However, to our dismay our regular waiter (Mr. Jones) went out due to an illness and passed earlier in November. With the fantastic cuisine we enjoyed, Mr. Jones' service as a consummate professional was a stellar 5-Star, no less. And, my wife and I will surely miss his first-rate service, knowledge and friendliness as a Kirby ambassador and we always looked forward to Mr. Jones serving and fulfilling our requests. In addition to the best steak in Texas we always eagerly anticipated his aforementioned service and conversations.Thank you Kirby's and a heartfelt thank you for Mr. Jones. He will be missed.

48 years ago we ate at the original Kirby's on Greenville on our wedding night. My wife grew up going there. We've recently moved back to DFW and decided to have a nice Christmas dinner with our kids and their spouses at the Southlake location.The restaurant is very nice, but not stuffy. Our server was superb. (I feel terrible that I can't remember her name. Cute, personable blonde woman.) We had the lobster appetizer plus shrimp cocktail and calamari. Our dinner was outstanding.....I believe we all had the filet. The sides were amazing - especially the creamed spinach. There was so much food and wine (love the Austin Hope), we couldn't even try any dessert. BTW, their sides are large; big enough for two or three people. My wife said the Thousand Island salad dressing was as good as she remembered!We had a wonderful evening and will be coming back in the future.

Beautiful, elegant ambiance, attentive service and delightful food! I had delicious lamb chops (happy hour menu) and creamed spinach and coffee.

Stellar food, cozy atmosphere, and best in class customer service. The entire menu was very good but I was just really impressed with how thorough the staff was.

Overall had a great experience here!Started with the Lobster Cargot appetizer and half dozen oysters. The Lobster was on point with the flavor, but just a hair over cooked. The oysters were excellent just wish they'd been bigger. For entrees my husband ordered the Black Pepper Filet (medium rare) and he absolutely loved it. I ordered the Filet with the Black Truffle Butter. While it was delicious, no one can eat that much butter so I'd rather them cut the price in half and give half the quantity. We ordered Mac & Cheese as a side (which was so good, not too saucy and not too dry!) and the Bacon Brussel Sprouts, which basically tasted like nothing but onions. For dessert they brought out a complimentary chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream which was excellent!!They had so many options that appealed to me so can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu!

Came in on a Friday night. Sat in the bar area. Happy hour specials. Do not recommend the cosmo it was watery and tasted like diet cranberry. I didn't drink it. Tried their tequila shrimp, wedge salad, French onion, and split a burger. Burger was tasty as it should be for $25. Shrimp were bad. Salad and soup were 3 out of 5 star.Wine list was extensive and we enjoyed a nice bottle. The only complaint I had was when your spending over $100 for a bottle of wine bring the correct vintage or freshen the wine list. Our server was good.

The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. It was everything that you expect a steakhouse to be. The waiters were very thorough without being intrusive.

Kirby's is our happy hour go to during the week (Tuesday-Thursday). Great martinis and not served in a small glass as many places do for a happy hour cocktail. My favorite meal is the lamb pops and broccoli ... so yummy. The staff at Kirby's are outstanding ... they treat new guest as if they are regulars and regulars like they are family. Other delicious options are the shrimp ... just about anyway you like them but our favorite is the shrimp cocktail. They have a nice wine selection and it's not overwhelming with too many options. The vibe is welcoming, cool mood setting and plenty of space in the bar area with plenty of additional seating in high-tops and booths. To date I haven't had a bad meal at Kirby's and if there is a mistake with the order the staff is quick to correct it ... can't wait to visit again this coming week.

Amazing as always!! The people who work there always make us feel invited and special. The food is always superb. The environment is great!!!
