Juicy's Soul Food Cafe

I just can't say enough about this gem of a soul food Restaurant. Today, Carla the owner came out again to greet us and we spent some time chatting or really me "bragging" about how good the food is. The chicken lives up to its name...JUICY. I'm telling you it's the best fried chicken in Texas. My mom and Grandma would have loved this place...not too mention I absolutely Love the colored greens and green beans. Deliciousness served to perfection each and every time. She shared she's opening a second location in Hurst and you can bet we will be there! Carla, thanks a million and congratulations on the 2nd location.

Excellent food, impeccable service and the playlist made the ambiance just right for a homemade meal that just came off the stove! Baby, if you like soul food you GOTTA make yo way to Juicy's!

No pictures this time because we devoured our food as soon as we received it! So many positives. This is a restaurant that cooks with that homemade touch! It takes about 30 minutes for your food because it's cooked to order. We were going to take our food out but decided to eat in. We had the oxtails, wings, fried and smothered pork chop meals. The sides are so flavorful!! I especially enjoyed the candied yams, collard greens and sweet tea. My oxtails were 3 huge pieces. I still have two left over. My friends enjoyed their food as well. I did get the banana pudding but haven't tried it yet. One of my friends got the peach cobbler. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was so welcoming. It felt like you're at a family gathering. Parking is decent but this place stays busy so expect to wait in line. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items.

Food always good. Service is decent. Establishment is decent. I don't like it when they run out of something I was going to order.

I LOVE Juicy's! The food is such a treat. It's always fresh and made to order. Plus, it doesn't hurt when staff remembers your name because you tip toe in there as often as you can.

I ordered the beef tips, and smothered pork chops dinner. Sides were fried corn, mashed potatoes, and greens. The sides for the beef tips were rice, collard greens, and candied yams. The food was delish, tasted like grandma house on Sunday afternoons. While there is a sign on the wall, that states the service is slow cause they cook at order, that is something they need to work on. Service is super slow.

Customer service A1! Food A1 Came in from Atlanta looking for some good soul food, and I felt like I was at home! Staff is point! The whole world need to taste this food!

The service is good. Very pleasant disposition and friendly with suggestions of what to order. I have been twice. First time having the beef tips which were well seasoned and tender. Gravy was succulent leaving you satisfied. The second time was the smothered pork chop and it was excellent, flavorful and juicy. The ambiance is very cute from the game room to the cards and dominoes on the table. It is ver very very clean which I noticed immediately. When I think of soul food that is delicious. This is what I have in mind. A very lovely hidden gem!! All the sides were delicious as well... the green beans were teetering on salty but I still consumed them. I would recommend them. Spread the word!!

The wait was kind of long but it was well worth it. The food was sooo delicious and the music kept you rocking in your seat while you ate. Good ole school music. I loved it and will be back. I give this place a 4.8!
