Cute little diner! When out of town I like trying small locally owned businesses. This one was near our hotel and had good reviews and I'm glad we stopped by. Standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast. LOTS of bacon on my plate! The waffle was good. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasted like homemade dressing. Great service too!

Delicious fried chicken and waffles. That's all I've had and I would definitely return. Chicken breast was thin and crispy and served piping hot. Gravy was peppery and flavorful and the waffle was light fluffy and just right. Everything was seasoned just like I like it. We were there on a weekday mid morning and sat at our table catching up for a long time and the service was friendly and efficient and left us alone until we were ready. Don't know her name but she was sweet and took good care of us and refilled coffee whenever we were ready. Cute spot- bar seating, booths and tables. Good place for breakfast.

My partner told me about this place so I figured I would give it a try. Upon entering I was greeted by the hostess and quickly sat at the bar (by choice). The server took our order quickly and did not take long to get our food even though they were pretty busy. The restaurant is quaint and has a lot of cute decor. The food was good for a diner.

Perfect Diner Brunch!!! Let me address some of the issues in a few negative reviews:1) "Rude hostess": she's not rude, she's direct and busy AND it's a diner! Not The Mansion! The rules are written down and standard; you will not be seated until your party is there. Common restaurant standard. Stop whining...2) Food or gravy is too peppery: It's called Chef Jon's Peppered Gravy; why are you surprised there's black pepper??? Don't like black pepper? Go someplace else and don't overcrowd this gem because we loved the food.So we strolled in Saturday afternoon and they were still hopping close to closing time. Cute decor. I love the sign at the bar that reads "Mind your own Biscuits and Life will be Gravy"We had the Danger Dogs ( pancake batter coated turkey sausage links on sticks) Imagine breakfast corn dogs. Loved them! Wish they had them at the state fair! The Biscuits and gravy were savory and served in a bowl with turkey sausage. We loved the biscuits. They were different! Flaky and moist yet very flavorful! And yes, there was a lot of black pepper, it's in the description and that's why we liked them. We also had the Migas, Peanut Butter Jelly Time Waffles and Chef Jon's chicken fried steak. I consider myself a chicken fried steak connoisseur and this was a GREAT chicken fried steak. Juicy in the middle and coated with a crispy cracker crusted crust. (Try saying that three times fast) Dallas is saturated with culinary hotspots. Hard to find someplace you're willing to repeat. This will definitely be a place we return over and over again

The service here was good. People were friendly. My problem stems from the fact that it took a long time to get my order. Even then, it wasn't made right. I was upset about it. I loved the syrup and waffles. Unique flavor and things were good. Like the diner touch to it.

Just landed in Dallas to visit family for the week. In search of some delicious, simple eats before the recovery nap. Jonathan's was the first suggestion and are we lucky it was. Attentive, friendly service from the moment we stepped in the door. Ordered fried chicken and waffles, cheesy grits, chicken and biscuit, and chicken fried steak. Lol I'm sure you can tell the chicken was what we came for. But honestly that was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor. Cheesy grits were on point, and the pepper gravy was really good. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic diner fare with great service.

The portions were pretty big, but food lacked some flavor. The service was good and fast. The diner itself was not that clean and pretty hot in there.

Wow! Unexpectedly delicious. Evidently this is the second location. I had the first book marked forever but, never got by.After a staycation at the nearby Joule Hotel in Downtown,I was andeling for a good, although not run of the mill, breakfast.I stumbled upon this place and immediately "felt" it. So headed over the bridge from downtown to the edge of Oak Cliff .Even on a weekday morning after prime breakfast hours the parking lot was busy. So,I knew something was up sure enough, when I opened the front door I was hit by that perfect combination of food aroma, plates and glasses clinking and patron chatter. You know it! Right?Great placeGo!

This is a Truck Stop. They brought us out a cold waffles without syrup or butter. I had to chase down the server. Walk over to the bar and ask for butter & syrup after 3 servers said they would bring it to us and DIDN'T! We asked for to go boxes to reheat at home. The floor was super sticky. Parking lot is tight. Unfortunately the good days have passed them by. This era is about nice ambiance & nice experiences which they cannot provide. Please Note: This is a truck stop
