JJ Fish & Chicken

Great fish and chips! Very flavorful, they are abiding by CDC guidelines which makes me happy. I will definitely be back.

Really great customer service, clean, and delicious food...I've came here 2wice my BF loved it reminded him of Chi towns JJ's. CHICKEN great (I recommend the mild wings and lemon pepper), Fish great, SHRIMP great...I've had the tots, and fried zucchini for sides, and lemonade mmm mm, for desert I had a slice of strawberry cheesecake (yum yum). They also have a wide selection of deserts from ; cakes, banana pudding, and cobblers. Decor is simple with array of sports memorabilia one TV in the middle of the restaurant so everyone can watch the games. Customer service was excellent they provided everything we needed and followed through to make sure we were set. Would I return Yes, was I satisfied and full Yes, and did my football team win the game today H.E double hockey sticks YES! It was a fine day indeed!

I don't know why this place is rated so low, we had the best experience here with service and the food! I got the catfish steak and shrimp combo, okra, and the hubby got the chicken tenders combo. We also got a piece of German chocolate cake. We only had to wait about 10 minutes (we came in 20 minutes before closing), and asked for extra seasoning. The food was hot and perfectly seasoned, and so delicious! I have never had catfish steaks, but they are way better than filets. The shrimp was generously sized, and tasted great. I loved the cornmeal breading, it had a nice bite and was crispy but not too thick. The fries and okra were crispy and beautifully seasoned. The tenders combo was very generously sized and moist. The chocolate cake was fantastic too - moist, chocolate, good crumb. And, the food was very reasonably priced for the quality, portion size, and taste. The meals could easily be split given the portion size of the meats. I will definitely be back, Keep up the great work!!! PS, I wish I had taken photos but we scarfed it down before I could snap a few while fresh. That's when you know it's great!

So I have only been to two catfish places in Dallas. This was #2 and it was decent in taste. I wish it had more flavor or spice. I would go back as it is close to my house but will not order so much fish for the family. That 12 piece fillet was $39.77. I prefer crispy fries and for some reason places out here do not make the fries crispy. The fried okra was good but still needed flavor. The guy who greeted me was nice and welcoming so that's a plus. They didn't give me hot sauce or condiments. But we have every condiment you can think of at our home. Maybe they could offer a regular, mild and hot option for the fish. Something to spice it up a little. They also need to update their Yelp menu. Slaw was not included with the order and it should be at $40. Calling ahead is best as wait time can vary.

If you want quick cheap fried food then this is your place. I have had the fried catfish fillet, friend shrimp, and chicken wings and they all are good. Fried to perfection and seasoned well. I don't like there fries too much but I can do without those...lol it usually takes about 10 minites for your food to be ready but it will be hot and delicious. I've only tried the camp wisdom location so idk if the others taste the same.

How can You CLAIM that You are from The Chi and REFUSE to Put Sauce on My CHICKEN. I will NOT be Returning Chicken!!!!! PLEASE STOP Saying that You are from The Chi and You have NO Clue how We EAT Our Chicken & Fries!!!!!!!! VERY Disappointed!

Chicago...yes, this is THE SAME J&J Fish we know and love....they have another location on Ledbetter that I haven't ventured to yet...HANDS DOWN....THE BEST FRIED FISH IN DALLAS. They actually season the batter...hot sauce/tartar sauce NOT REQUIRED. They have whiting, tilapia, and of course catfish...there are also chiken tenders and wings...It is NOT a swanky restaurant....definitely a dive...order and your food is ready in about 10 minutes...DELICIOUS.You can dine inside, as tthere are a few tables and chairs...I get mine to go and the food is still hot/warm and delicious by the time I get it home....AND CHICAGOANS? THEY EVEN HAVE PIZZA PUFFS. Seriously...what the hell are you waiting for?

Solid food! Came in town from Houston! Got told this the spot to go to and did not disappoint

Aaaaaah dang it, I want to like this food establishment, but I won't be the open honest reviewer if I just rubber stamped things. Went to visit JJ's, after seeing it going to a popular burger joint in Texas. We drive up and see the specials, each special is pictured and of course like all food advertisement, it's meant to sell itself with the consumer looking forward to getting, what they saw on the pictured specials. Now, I don't know about ya'll, but if a restaurant can't pay show attention to detail in its own specials...You should expect to see no attention to detail in how your food is handled. So lets talk about the special's signage, one of pictured specials said, "Two piece Catfish with sides for blank price.." The fish looked good, but one problem. Although the sign said two pieces, it had three, count 'em one, two, three! Uno dos tres! pieces of fish on the sign. Next, special, ten pieces of shrimp, the ad looked like more than ten shrimp and oh by the way, what was pictured, was not received. Anyway, we walk in and we're hit with a smell that would have Deontay Wilder swinging wildly, but hey! it's a fish and chicken joint, okay, I get it! We look at the over-head menu and decide to get the two piece, showing three piece special and the ten shrimps...Oh yeah! we notified the dude at the register about the signage and he apparently didn't think it was funny...The food was okay, nothing to write home about. I'm assuming they were run out of Chicago, cause The Chi does not rock like that...Sorry JJ, but on 3/11/18..You weren't DYNOMITE!!

This place is unsanitary didn't want to put my food in a container so they put it in a bag and when I asked for them to put my food in a container they told me they've always serve your food in the bag.
