Unacceptable 1/2 of burger
Take out: 1/3lb Cheeseburger with all the toppings, an order of French fries, and a Dr.Pepper to wash it down.

Ambiance was old school and gives a happy nostalgic vibe.I ordered:American Kobe Burger (1/2 LB) - 1/2 lb of certified Kobe Beef, served on a toasted bun - medium-well.Everything was delicious and service was on point! These aren't any smash burgers and are in fact old fashioned. They hit nonetheless! Bussin bussin. Bet. Make the trip. Park and go inside.I look forward to going back to make my way through the rest of their menu.

The first thing I want to mention is the customer service, it was excellent. Although it was my first time coming here, I get the feeling that it is the type of place that gets to know their regulars and really appreciates them.Everything was made fresh to order, food came out quick, and the prices were affordable. The burger was very good and probably one of the best burgers in the DFW area. Easily a top 10 burger in Dallas, maybe even top 5 depending on your preference.

****** OMG - DON'T GO ******I'm a huge foodie and cook - my only mission it to guide you to awesome food - and keep you away from the worst! This place has horrible food on any level. The meat is obviously preformed and frozen when it arrives. The shape, texture, inability to cook anything but well done... and absolutely NO FLAVOR in the meat tells me McDonald's has better flavored meat. (Not a compliment!) I've been 3 times over the years, each time... "ugh, why did I come back!" Well, this time I learned my lesson. I had sweats and horrible diarrhea from 3:30am until 7am... and yes I took meds at 3:30!!! No sleep during those hours - pissed me off to be exhausted at work!!! I felt like I was eating 'air'. The only flavor I could perceive was lettuce, ketchup, bacon, cheese and bread! Absolutely no beef flavor anywhere!!!! No grease because it was frozen and cooked well done. No salt/pepper or anything to say "I'm tasty" - REALLY?!?!!!!!!As though this wasn't enough, I cut my burger in 1/2 as usual to get a photo. Although the bun was cut in 1/2... the meat was a different story. (See photos) One half had almost NO MEAT... it was literally 2 bites and what remained was bread and toppings. The meat is 30% smaller than the bun!! What a joke for $15!I don't judge, but the clientele I saw has no concept of dining etiquette. People stood 4 inches from my table!!!! I felt like asking them if they were trying to sit with me! Disgusting and ruining my meal. Where do people learn such unacceptable behavior!! On the streets?!?!?!!!So, now on to the fries. Yes, they seem to be hand cut (through a slicer) with skins remaining, but they are generally soft and limply. If that's what you like - great. Personally, I expected very crispy fries that crunch when you eat them. (No way of getting that here.)And the worst part was the Coke fountain. The syrup was obvdialed back to increase profits. (It was not low syrup with high carbonation, it was less syrup!!!) It was horrible and I poured it out and went with' 'city water' from the tap. Ugh!So about 1/2 way through my burger I started to feel odd. A sour stomach of sorts. By the time I got to the end of the burger... I knew I was in for a bad GI episode and did not finish my meal. I left as fast as I could! You should do the same... or better yet - trust me and eat at McDonald's instead!!!! At least you will sleep through the night and avoid major GI issues!!Eat there are your own risk!!!

******Please ignore J Cooper*********Overall 6.5/10, I would go back if someone else paid. Customer service was ok besides the person who took my utensils, he was extremely friendly! The atmosphere has a very old timey vibe that fits the name and in my opinion, works for the place. I got the Kobe burger medium, but it was more well-done. It was hot and had a nice toasted bun but i do agree, it could have used some kind of flavor or some seasonings 5/10. Onion rings were extremely crispy, but tasted ok 6.5/10. The toppings bar looked well maintained and fresh also. Could the food be better, yes. Do they deserve 1 star, absolutely not. Plenty of parking spaces also.As always, if you're in the area, check this place out for yourself. Always make your own opinion.

After many years of eating at JG's, I'm very sad to see the decline in quality and service. Be very careful about Door Dashing from JG's. They failed to fulfill the complete order and then they didn't take responsibility for the misses. New employees need to learn how to take ownership for the business's mistakes. Hoping this review will help them learn and improve.

I moved into this neighborhood in 1990. I wonder why I always stop going to this restaurant. The hamburger are good, atmosphere is average, the the biggest helping is rude attitude. To ask for a napkin or a to-go container, you are made to feel shameful.I will take my business to Del's in downtown Richardson. Family friendly and I don't walk away with a bad taste in how rude the owner and staff treated their customers!
