Someone in our group was craving Shrimp and Grits. The internet told us this place had the best shrimp and grits....the internet was not lying!Food: everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I would order any of these dishes again in a heartbeat! 1) Shrimp and Grits2) Fried Chicken (comes with pimento Mac and cheese)3) Ancient Grain SaladService: the place was busy, but our server was on it! She was kind and kept coming around to check in on us! Ambiance: I love the tall ceilings, and eclectic rustic decor here. Definitely super cute!Tip: if you are coming for lunch on the weekends, make sure to book a reservation on OpenTable! This place was packed!

I really enjoy this place. I love to sit outside and love the ambiance of the whole place. The food is very good not excellent therefore 4 stars but that won't stop me from coming back. Ultimately, this is the most overhyped, generic tasting food I have had In San Antonio. Tried the brunch, their lunch and dinner menu as my friends and colleagues keep raving about this place; frankly every menu item is underwhelming. It's almost as if somebody's trying to re-create a Louisiana cuisine, but in their pantry have nothing but salt, pepper, and a little bit of oregano. After 5 to 10 trips to this place, I can easily say this is one of my least favorite restaurants in San Antonio .

If you're looking for a spot where you won't have to make small talk, this is it--because you won't be able to hear a thing. This place was packed on a Tuesday at lunchtime, and the noise level was somewhere between "rock concert" and "airplane tarmac." But hey, that just means it's good, right?I had done my usual deep-dive menu research beforehand (because I take food decisions seriously) and was torn between the much-hyped chicken & waffles and the Asian steak salad with peanuts and ramen. Naturally, Hubbs and I went halfsies. The salad? A real winner--spicy, crunchy, and with steak so tender that even my inner steak snob gave it the nod of approval. The chicken & waffles? Also good, but I really didn't need the eggs, so I kinda wish I'd just gone for the chicken finger plate instead.For next time, I have my master plan: fried green tomatoes (Stephanie, our server, highly recommended them), the Asian steak salad again (because duh), and one of the many drool-worthy desserts I saw parading by.Final thought--if it's this busy on a Tuesday, I wouldn't even attempt it on a weekend unless you enjoy waiting and/or fighting for parking.

Wonderful charming southern cuisine restaurant. We had the seafood pasta with sides of cheese grits and cornbread. They were all delicious. We loved the cornbread so much we ordered 5 to go and the waitress was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I saw other customers ordering chicken and waffles and they looked really yummy!I found out later that they have a small airstream trailer available for private dining out front, looked really cute.

Our small group gathered in the Airstream outside the restaurant for a great "private-feeling" birthday lunch. There was a great variety of food from which to choose and while one of our meals took quite a while to be delivered, the wait staff checked on us quite often. Recommended for a fun and different lunch bunch gathering.

Tried Happy Hour followed by dinner.Happy hour was actually pretty good, plenty of drink options and a few snacks. The mango margarita was a little thick, but the espresso martini was Make sure you get the RIGHT bar tender to make the old fashioned though. Lovely ambiance and friendly service who were very helpful when navigating allergy questions and accommodations. I had the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was t really perfect. I highly recommend getting the Nashville hot. The waffles themselves were a little bit dry and dense but overall very good!

Just had my third visit to Ida Claire--second time for supper--and it still hits the spot. I went for the Blackened Texas Redfish this time, and it was fantastic. The seasoning was on point, and the orzo was the best. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always solid. Plenty of great shareable bites, too! It's not super fancy, but the vibes make it a great spot for a nice night out. Definitely a go-to!

Baby! Please give Simon a raise! He is so professional and has excellent customer service. Now the biscuits yes! They were spectacular! The fried green tomatoes were fried to perfection and that sauce!!! The salmon had such a good smoke on it and tasted divine. Now what didn't taste good at all was the lobster Mac and cheese! Baby it was nasty! I can't explain it but nasty! So this is why I gave it a four! Try it for yourself
