We went to Hutchin's BBQ and things have changed with the side dishes. They don't have the cream style corn anymore & the potato salad which we used to think was the best around isn't as creamy & flavorful. It's more dry & chunky. We got the usual banana pudding & peach cobbler & found the pudding was missing bananas. The cobbler was much thinner than before also. It seems to us that as they are raising their meat prices they are also making changes to the sides & deserts as well.

Hutchins BBQ is some of the best I've had in a while! If you're looking for a place in the Dallas area, look no further! Our family of 8 purchased the party pack. This included 3 different meats and 3 sides. We chose the chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. For sides, we enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, fries, green beans, and fried okra. We were able to split two of our sides in half to make for four. Everyone loved it! Mouth watering. Beware that this is family style and it can be a bit confusing when deciding how much to order. You will stand in line and order at the counter, where you can watch them prepare your trays. Hutchins also offers free dessert and toppings for your meals if interested. We can't wait to return.

Hutchins BBQ is awesome! During our recent visit, a friend took me to Hutchins for lunch. I'll be the first to admit that I am no expert on BBQ and that it is not one of my fav, but wow, I am so glad she introduced me to Hutchins. I tried the brisket and some pork ribs and they were just delicious. So good that I had to return with my husband so he can try it. In our 2nd trip there, we had friends and family, so we were able to order a lot more to try. Again, the food was excellent, the service great (everyone so friendly and happy), and I love the atmosphere of this restaurant.Overall, I will come back again and again. This is on my must-visit list when I am in the area for sure!

Hutchin's is the absolute gold standard when it comes to Texas barbecue. You are getting the highest quality meat cooked with the perfect care and you can tell how much care is put into each bite of food. Whenever anyone asks me where they should go to have the best barbecue in Dallas, I always recommend Hutchins. In addition to the best quality meat, every single staff member was very kind and helpful. I would never expect such exceptional service from a BBQ joint but here we are. The environment is very clean and very homely. I absolutely felt as if I was enjoying a barbecue with my neighbors. Marbled brisket. Perfect. Beef rib. Perfect. Texas Twinkie. Better than perfect. You're going to spend some money here but you will absolutely enjoy every minute and every bite of the experience.

Oops! Hopefully just a one time hiccup. However,I've given Hutchins McKinney a regular stream of 5 Stars. Why? The food.To me perfection deserves 5.As anyone who's boarded the runaway train known as Texas Bar-B-Q lately knows,It Is Pricey. Now,that's fine. I have several places I go that could double what they charge me and I'd gladly pay it. Why? The food . Starting to catch on?After returning from an hour drive into north Texas,my usual in this area is to drive though Hutchins, where I order a chopped beef sandwich, sauce on the side,French fries and large ice tea That's what I did today. Total $ 26.06. No problem. Why? The food. I'd pay twice that for what I usually get But....Hold your horses.Today's sandwich was very dry. Even the sauce didn't save it. Now one of two things occured. Either the person slicing the meat didn't make the decision this hunk he was cutting from was over cooked or they don't care and in this super busy, printing money, sell it as fast as you can atmosphere I predict the later .So,as a result a long term super happy camper of a customer is disappointed. Strike one. It doesn't help that a brand new Q joint is opening close to my house. They'll probably get my next order .However, everyone can have an off day so for now,I'll give Hutchins the benefit of the doubt. I will swing back thru their drive thru in a week or so and,Up date my review then. You guys can do better.

I was in town for business and a client from California wanted BBQ. So we went to Hutchins. I have eaten at the one in Frisco but never McKinney and I will say it did not disappoint. My client stated that she loved the food as it was not over Smokey like she gets in California. She loved everything she ate, she loved the atmosphere and the amazing deserts. She had never been served BBQ the way Hutchins does it and she loved it. The crew doing the service were amazing and knowledgeable and walked her through every question she had. I had the brisket, regular sausage, Texas Twinkie and pinto beans (brisket). The brisket was moist, the sausage cooked to perfection and the beans were on point. And of course the Texas Twinkie was the bomb as always. Shout out to Ms Blanca our table server. Absolutely amazing and friendly. I will continue to be a Hutchins fan as they have the best BBQ in North Texas.

I like Hutchins near and far, I'd eat Hutchins in my car. I'd eat Hutchins anywhere, I'd eat Hutchins if I had to fight a bear.I'm disappointed. Not because of the wonderful meal I had, but because I waited so long to try Hutchins. In all honesty, I was unable to eat at Hutchins (I have a newborn, sue me), but what an experience it was to get to order Hutchins through the drive thru. Not gonna lie, their service rivals Chick-fil-A.As for the food, wow, what a musical of a meal. The pork ribs still fell off the bone by the time I got to my house. The brisket reminded me of the Alamo because I'll always remember it. The turkey was juicy and flavorful. If you can make a really good smoked turkey, you know your way around a smoker like Willie Nelson. The sauce was special, put it on everything. Finally, the sides. We had the broccoli salad, potato casserole, and pinto beans. I couldn't believe how good they were and how much they complimented the meal. I'm excited to come back to Hutchins in the future and eat in person. There's so much else to discover at this place. It's nice to be home.
