Love the "can-do attitude" of Texans!

FIFTEEN OUT OF TEN. When you walk in, you much choose the takeout entrance or dine-in entrance. My family and I opted to dine-in and it did NOT disappoint. All meats are served by the pound. The brisket was my favorite. Followed by the pork ribs and jalapeno sausage. All sides are serve a la carte, but, you are able to load up as much as you can fit in the container!! Dont be shy!!! The customer service was beyond amazing. From each lineman, to the cashiers, to the servers. My fav sides were the mac & cheese, creamed corn and green beans. I had plenty of leftovers!! Here's the bonus...if you dine in, you get unlimited, complimentary dessert. So SAVE ROOM (if you can). The options are banana pudding...and my absolute favorite was the peach cobbler and ice cream. I cant even explain it. Buttery and sweet! I wish I could've fit more in my stomach. Just come, take time to dine in, and thank me later!!

Visited this location with a party of 7 on a Sunday afternoon. We were a bit nervous about the wait time, but the line moved at a reasonable pace. The takeout line was much shorter, but keep in mind you don't get the unlimited dessert (banana pudding, peach cobbler, soft serve). We ordered the party pack for our group along with a few Texas twinkies. The party pack serves about 5-6 people. The prime brisket was tender and the house-made sausage was my favorite. All of the sides were great, we got the broccoli slaw, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. I love that they had all the fixins for you to dress up your plate too (cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, butter, jalapeños, etc). The Texas twinkies were filling. I was expecting some heat with them which they didn't have.

Come hither if this is the place where you want to show out-of-towners the magic and love of Texan BBQ. If you come on the weekends, they have a delightful sausage, the Frito Chili. It has fantastic flavor with a bit of spicy to blend with the savory rich goodness. The environment of this place is a great way to see what Texas is all about. The staff and patrons themselves are the true definition of southern hospitality. Personally, this is one of my favorite places to get smoked Turkey. They do a beautiful peppercorn crust around it and the peppery flavor is seeped in with the tender smokey flavor. The rib itself is nothing to sneeze at. The bark on the meat as it melts off the bone is a thing of beauty. For the best dessert: layer the bottom with banana pudding, then a small layer of ice cream, top it with banana pudding and ice cream as the finisher. It sounds a lot but I promise you, you are in for a delightful treat.

Wow, this was excellent bbq. My favorites are LA bbq in Austin and Lockharts and now I'm not sure which one I like best! Recommend the brisket and the pork ribs!!The "Texas Twinkie" was okay (brisket and cream cheese stuffed into a jalepenos and wrapped in bacon). I wasn't hoping this would be spicy but it wasn't! The best sides were the mashed potatoes, potato salad, corn and coleslaw imo. I wasn't a huge fan of the mac and cheese. They charge a flat price per container so recommend loading it up! You can put multiple sides in the same container - they are super nice and encourage this! We went around 12 on a weekday and there wasn't a line but it got busy around 12:30 They also have peach cobbler, ice cream and banana pudding for free :)

Solid eats. Brisket was great and tender, loved the fatty bits. Sausage was super flavorful and had a great crunch. Pulled pork was meh, kinda dry for my taste. Sides were excellent, cream corn was super busss. Fried okra was super good too.Workers mean as hell ngl, definitely knew we were out town and clowning us but maybe that's the charm.

Melt in your mouth good! We tried the beef brisket, the St. Louis ribs, & the pulled pork. Each of them was great! All gluten free & lactose free, but unfortunately the selection of sides couldn't meet the same criteria; fries or coleslaw were Marci's only choices, I enjoyed the green beans (doused in butter!). Come hungry, and come early; a long line to get a seat will greet you, but the takeout goes quickly. Either way, when in north Dallas, this is a wonderful culinary treat.

It says something about the food and the service that people will wait outside in the rain for it. You get to try some of the meat while you wait. There's a tasting station outside. Each time I've been there it's been some form of a sausage. The service is great. The understand that people could be cold, tired or wet as the case was the last time we were there. They are so nice and will help or guide you in any way that you need. Now to the food. We had ham, turkey, and Texas Twinkies. I recommend all. This is the only ham that I've had in Texas that's worth eating. It has a good flavor. It's smoky and not sweet, and juicy. We have loved the turkey for a while. It's something that we regularly order. The Texas Twinkies are spicy, salty, and sweet. They are a large bacon wrapped jalapeño, that is stuffed with cream cheese and brisket. They have a sweet glaze over them that's great. It adds a touch of sweetness that balances all of the flavors wonderfully. I highly recommend and I can't wait to go back.

One of the best bbq joints period, the food is very flavourful and rich. Also the service is top notch, they accommodate my special food restrictions everytime even on the busy days. To top all that off, their free cobbler and banana pudding is out of this world good and hit the right spots. I bring all my visitors here.
